  1. When I left London last year I got a Russell Square tube station mug to remember all the times my girlfriend and I used to wander round the bookshops and cafes near there on Sundays. Now I can't bring myself to drink from it. Can't bear to look at the name.
  2. Needs more than just chanting now, needs direct action like pitch invasions. We need to try and physically stop this from going further.
  3. We wonder why England doesn't produce top managers then you see utter thickos like this guy getting smoke blown up their arse by e.g Gary Lineker because they can talk weasel words for 10 minutes on a football 'philosophy' they don't even understand.
  4. Being from Norfolk just need to point out that the 'Norfolk Cafu' is not from Norfolk. It's important this is known.
  5. Just a very stupid and very vain man.
  6. Probably even worse than Peter Taylor
  7. Am I imagining it or did a couple of fans run on to the pitch and demonstrate in front of the dig out? Seemed to do the trick
  8. I'm so in the wrong job
  9. He's even more awful than I feared. Seem to vaguely remember Norwich getting rid of Gunn (?) 2 disastrous games into a season and going up
  10. People will say it's difficult for British managers to get a chance but in any other country Gary Rowett and Russell Martin wouldn't even be trusted with a school team
  11. Come on now. When a striker who's scored 86 goals in 400 appearances starts speaking, you better sit your butt down and listen.
  12. No, there must be a hero, and a villain. It must fit neatly into the rigid moral framework I carry round in my head.
  13. I think what's most ironic about this story, and honestly there are layers and layers of irony to this whole thing, is that Cofnas I think focussed mostly on the academic stuff that people don't care about as much. Like, people plagiarise, big deal. It's the marathons/TV shows/non-verbal stuff that people were really into and as far as I'm aware that was mostly the Times and furiously right wing rag the Guardian that dug up most.

Yes you're right there is something lovely about that in the countryside but the British urban environment is still quite dispiriting in cool, wet conditions. Especially after the summer we've just had.

Hate it like this in summer to be honest
  16. I follow Italian leagues and serie c teams have started doing it when they release their fixtures. Like of course we know what badge Albinoleffe or Altamura have.

  18. I guess they decided they'd rather be reviled but famous than be ignored
  19. Hard not to be cynical sometimes
  20. Generations of culture and upbringing vs a poster - who will win? Stay tuned.
  21. Controversial opinion but I don't think it's a great idea that the UK's immigration policy is to admit people from cultures where rape and sexual abuse is commonplace and accepted and then try to 'integrate' them with a poster campaign.
  22. Whatever you do don't look up the old Highbury station
  23. Russian mentality is that the west especially Anglo-Saxons want to destroy them and that if Russia can't exist then neither should the rest of the world

Yeah I agree it has that English-at-play seaside vibe without being too overwhelming or grotty
