  1. I've said it before, but if Puel goes I'd love to see Jorge Sampaoli. Aggressive pressing, fast transitions and high energy attacking football, just want we want to see. He's got a temper too which would suit those that want a bit of passion, and he's currently available as far as I know after leaving the Argentina job. Did well with numerous club sides in South America, as well as Sevilla and the Chile national team. Iborra was his captain at Sevilla so there's a link there. Only negative is I doubt he speaks any English.
  2. Yes, it's a bit of a pain to get it but for anyone that needs to know, then there is a way of doing it. The points built up before that start of last season are added in bulk so it's only a case of adding the points since then which only takes a few seconds. I wasn't aware that info drops off the bottom of the list, I don't have anyone on my family unit, i just add them temporarily when i need to check. I don't know why they don't just add the 2 numbers (home priority points and away priority points) next to the person's name anyway. For any website developer it would take about 2 minutes.
  3. You can get their points total, as follows: Log in to lcfc.com Go to the Tickets tab Hover over your name in the top-right and click Personal Details, taking you to you Welcome tab. Under your 'My friends and family' list, click 'Manage my relationships' Select Edit on the person whose points you want to check Tick 'This person shares my family unit', and click OK Go to your Away Priority Points tab. The points for person you added to your 'family unit' will now appear there, but you'll have to add them up. One thing I'd be cautious of is that I'm sure I read somewhere that someone can only belong to one users' family unit, therefore if the person you add to yours already belongs to another, they may be removed from their original one. Therefore I'd only do it if you know the other person is aware your doing it, just in case.
  4. Plenty of tickets left, just had a quick check on FA website. £55 tickets: B1 (497 available), B3 (541), H1 (174), L1 (179) £45 tickets: A1 (276), C1 (70), C2 (174), G1 (186), G2 (3), M3 (687), M4 (222), M2 (238) £35 tickets: M1 (261) Presumably the tickets in B1 and B3 were originally held back for corporate tickets or whatever, and they couldn't shift them so they're now on general sale. Got mine in SK3 but Kop looks like it's sold out now. The website doesn't include family stand, not sure it's because they're sold out or because they're not available through the website. I'm going, although I'm struggling to get any enthusiasm for it but it's not often England will play there so might as well embrace it. Tickets are far too expensive though.
  5. I think there's some rule in place where the Premier League does not allow score updates to be shown during the match. The problem with mobile data not working at half time would be reduced considerably if the club put the latest scores up quickly on the big screens. We have to wait about 10 minutes (if they appear at all), and meanwhile about 25,000 people are simultaneously trying to get the scores on their phone. Put them up immediately after the half time whistle goes, and I would guess that there'd be a large reduction in data usage. I don't want to just see Premier League scores either, they should put Championship scores up, and if it was up to me I'd put up League 1 and 2 as well. They can still keep the existing messages etc. on the screens, just scroll the scores along the bottom of the screen throughout half time. Incidentally, I'm on EE and previous seasons could usually get the scores updates up eventually, but on Saturday couldn't get a thing. As for the 17/17 voting against having a decent signal, when reading the minutes from the meeting, it looks like the club and the police representative spent several minutes convincing everyone that a good mobile data signal was a bad thing (mainly for betting purposes) immediately before the vote, and therefore that clearly affected the vote. You need to bear in mind these are the same people that, at the same meeting, complained about people standing and blocking their view, and then voted against being in favour of introducing standing areas which would resolve that issue.
  6. Is there any difference between the Keith Weller Lounge and the Walkers Hall? I've never been in either but might try one for this game as it's only £20.
  7. There's several hundred left and they're on general sale. You can just just go to lcfc.com, register if you've not already done so, pick the seats you want and and buy them!
  8. Yes he was but he didn't qualify for a medal. That's Inler, wearing his medal.
  9. The reason it's not selling quickly is because everyone's waiting for blocks 44 and 45 to open up!
  10. After last night's meeting I was hoping they'd be a bit more info finding it's way onto here today. So far, piecing together the scraps of info, seems like they're planning a extension of about 10,000 seats on the East Stand, with an arena and a hotel, and that it all looks good (and might look from the outside like some gold coloured glass King Power building in Phuket). What about the stand itself? Will the extra seats just be bolted on behind the existing ones (like was done at Anfield), or somehow sit above (like the old double decker)? Will the new roof hug the stand low enough to hold the noise in (as new stands with high open roofs can lose a lot of the noise)? Will it be designed to facilitate a possible further extension (i.e. potentially expand the North and/or South Stand later)? Will the current seats in the East Stand remain as they are, or will there be some modifications to them too? I'm envious of you lucky guys that have seen what's planned.
  11. So, there's at least a couple of people from here going to tonight's meeting. Please let us know afterwards what they have planned.
  12. Third game of the season, on the south coast on a bank holiday weekend and they've not took the full allocation! Only got 2610 tickets! Who makes these decisions?! Hopefully there's still the option to take the full amount if the initial allocation sells quickly.
  13. Did anyone on here that submitted an application to attend next week's meeting get a successful response? The deadline for informing us was 5pm yesterday and I didn't hear anything, so obviously I'm not invited. I'd be interested to know how many people did succeed, and those that are going please can you give some feedback afterwards about what their plans are for the stadium.
  14. No he doesn't need to register his grandson. As they are now on general sale, he (grandad) can get all the tickets he needs (although I'm assuming there's a limit e.g. 4) on his reference number. As the original question was about 3 weeks ago I'm sure he's sorted the tickets out by now anyway!
  15. Rail seats are used in Germany however the majority of standing areas are terracing, just like we used to have here. I've stood on the yellow wall in Dortmund. The front two thirds (maybe about 15,000 people) is a terrace. The rear third is rail seats. I've stood behind the goal at Schalke, again a big old style terrace. 3 of the 4 stands at Burton Albion are terraces, although not very deep. It's wrong to say the only standing that exists is rail seats. Attached is a picture I just found of Dortmunds terrace.
  16. Not sure about the 'proper' big clubs always selling out. Take Spain for example... Barcelona's capacity is 98,0000. Their average attendance last season was 69,000 (on average 29,000 empty seats per game). Their lowest attendance was 49,000 (that's exactly half full, 49,000 empty seats). Bear in mind that they almost went the whole season unbeaten and won the league by a fair distance, so it was a very good season for them. Likewise, Real Madrid's capacity is 81,0000. Their average attendance last season was 65,000 (on average 16,000 empty seats per game). Their lowest attendance was 55,000 (that's 26,000 empty seats). Atletico Madrid's capacity is 68,0000. Their average attendance last season was 55,000 (on average 13,000 empty seats per game). Their lowest attendance was 35,000 (that's 33,000 empty seats). That's their first season in their new stadium where they would have had a new stadium bump in crowds, so expect them to drop off a bit going forward. For any of the top 3 in Spain, unless they're playing against each other, or it's a big European night, or it's an end of season title decider, you can just turn up at the stadium before kick-off and buy a ticket. You wouldn't be able to do that at virtually any match in the Premier League.
  17. Looks like Shinji's followed King and Drinkwater to the hair transplant clinic.
  18. ...and all ticket. I assume that's the initial allocation because I was expected us to be taking at least 4,000 there.
  19. I like it. I prefer kits that are clean and simple, with no unnecessary extra bits. The kits that Nike released this season for Man City, Chelsea, Roma etc. were just about perfect. However, they've replaced them with some horrendous ones for this coming season. Looking at other clubs new/leaked kits for next season, there's some monstrosities in there. Man Utd have a copy of Watford's awful kit from a couple of seasons ago, Man City have some weird sleeves and a too wide neckline. Chelsea have daft colourful lines, Liverpool's is ok but has some white bits it doesn't need, Arsenal's is shocking. However, Spurs is ok (but would be better without the fade from white to black), and Newcastle's looks nice. In comparison I think we've got about the best of the lot. Would have preferred the gold trim on the collar to have been symmetrical though.
  20. I was in 10 mins before kick off and didn't hear anything. If it was announced prior to that when the ground was mainly empty, and that's the last time it was communicated within the stadium, then it's no wonder people weren't aware. An announcement at half time and then a reminder during a break in play 2nd half were all that was needed. Regardless of recent form and yesterday's display, I think a significant number of people would have stayed behind if they were aware it was happening.
  21. I didn't get an email, and I don't use Twitter or Facebook. Only time I need to go on the website is to get away tickets. Was there any announcement in the ground by tannoy or on the screen? If not then I would guess that a lot of people like me were unaware of it.
  22. I didn't hear or see anything, and I was in there well before kick off and stayed in my seat at half time. However as those that did stay behind must have known about it then I guess they must have announced it, but I missed it somehow.
  23. If it was a midweek cup game going to extra time, everyone would stop for an extra half an hour. Getting home slightly later wouldn't bother me. However if they want to do it on the last Saturday game so the players kids can join in, then fair enough, but they need to communicate it. They shouldnt just assume that people would assume that it was happening! The club's a shambles off the pitch as well as on it.
  24. Did they announce anything in the ground today about the lap of appreciation? I didn't hear anything on the tannoy or see anything on the screens, so missed it. Nobody I was with knew anything about it. The reason so few were there is probably because most people were unaware it was happening. Surely if they are going to do it on the penultimate game rather than the last one they should at least let people know. Perhaps they should do a proper one on Wednesday, just the players without their families.
  25. Haven't read all the thread and so I'm not sure if he's been mentioned or not, but if we are looking at replacing Puel, I wouldn't mind trying to prise Jorge Sampaoli from the Argentina national team after the World Cup. Not sure how long is left on his contract there but Copa America aside, he'd have nothing meaningful for another four years and may be tempted by a change. He's got a good track record at club and international level, seems to favour an energetic attacking style and look like the sort of feisty character that we'd love. I like the way he had his Sevilla side playing last season. On the negative side if he was available there's no doubt that bigger clubs than us would be after him, and also the langauge barrier might be a problem initially.
