Just read up on the play-offs as I forgot the nations league was involved. Its bloody confusing but I get it now.

If, and it's a big if, Wales beat Turkey tonight (I'm assuming Croatia beat Armenia) will they be in with a shout for the playoffs at all? Not sure how it works but do they have to win to even have a chance of that?

To everyone else out there getting bombarded with emails and promotions offering Black Friday deals on everything from your toilet brush to your kitchen sink, stay strong out there. A disgrace how this has picked up over the last 4/5 years from the US. In all seriousness though do stay strong - I know a lot of people who are either already in debt or who have problems spending more than they should and the pressure to buy and spend this time of year is absolutely relentless. You'll be seeing TV adverts, adverts online, on social media, emails coming in, texts from some companies as well as people talking about it in everyday life - don't feel like your missing out by now buying stuff you don't need now. As soon as BF is over, we'll have the same again for Christmas and then come January you'll feel all the better for not getting in to debt buying crap you didn't need or presents for people that perhaps you didn't need to get or overspend on. Wasn't sure where to post this but just thought sometimes you need a reminder that it's important not to fold to corporate pressure to spend for FOMO.

Don't get me started on Turkish Delight. I feel like a handful of people got together and decided it would be a great joke to tell everyone they like it. Might as well dip a bar of soap in chocolate.

Caramel wafer all day, the tea cakes are basically just glorified wagon wheels

I've noticed this quite a bit, almost like one of the developers has said "let's stir some s**t up this season!" I started the game unemployed and then took the Las Palmas job in Spain, at the beginning of the season I said that I wanted us to be competitive in the Cup, not win it or make the final just be competitive, and they all kicked off and said I was expecting too much, morale all down and now my 3 best players don't want to renew contracts, save has gone out the window.

I'm sorry but you're not going to get any sympathy from anyone apart from other landlords and owners of multiple properties. "Woe is me, I'm not making as much money as I used to from my rental properties!" Hopefully you made your money while the sun was shining but rightfully so the rental market is a joke and it should be harder and more difficult to take advantage of it for landlords.

After finishing it I think I might have been a bit harsh saying he was a narcissist, I ended the podcast feeling a little bit sorry for him in some ways (mad I know as he's a millionaire who's basically had 5 years getting paid shed loads to not do a lot). I think being in football from the age of 7 or 8 or whatever it was, you can tell he is basically not prepared or educated on how to behave or act when he's no longer being put on a pedestal by everyone around him. When the wheels seemingly came off at Chelsea he decided he would just go in every day to be the 'clown' as he put it, almost like he was rebelling as he wasn't one of the golden boys at that club, from there on out he felt like he was above going to places like Burnley and Reading and mostly because he's probably been told how amazing he is all his life and only ever gone upwards in his career. Hope he finds something to focus on now in retirement and maybe in a few years when he's had time to sit back and look at his career a bit more he can appreciate the opportunity he's had in life.

I looked at my most recent bill to see how much my energy bills had come down since they reduced the cap on October 1st, the daily rate has indeed come down a little, however the daily standing charge for both Electricity and Gas seems to have gone up by the exact amount in pence that my daily energy use has come down by. Is this a one-off or are we all just mugs?

Genuine question, why do you pay for YouTube? Is it just to get rid of ads?

If 6 months ago you’d have said Jonny Evans would be starting for United while Rafa Varane is on the bench you’d have been taken away by men in white coats.

About halfway through the podcast and I have to say he's quite clearly a little deluded and a bit of a narcissist. At the beginning, said he was retiring as he'd had no offers, then said he'd had offers from loads of Championship clubs. Then he said when he joined Reading he wasn't fit but after 6 months when he'd got fit he said he was good. Then he said after the season finished he needed to get fit again but couldn't understand why a club hadn't given him a chance. Why didn't he just keep himself fit if he knew it would take him 6 months to do so like at Reading? He then couldn't believe no teams would give him a chance but again said he'd had loads of offers from the Championship. Was he seriously waiting for a Premier League team to come in? And did he seriously think he didn't have to stay fit as he'd get fit at said new club? Can't work the guy out. I have absolute respect for him for the few years he had here, played some of the most enjoyable football to watch in the Championship in 2013/14 and one of the legends of 2015/16 but he can only have himself to blame for all the other pitfalls.

Bit of a mess really. The thing I love about WC's is you kind of buy-in to the locations and the cultures for a month or so every 4 years. This one is celebrating the 3 countries who are closely located across 2 continents, something I think will make a great WC so don't see the point of adding a few games the other side of the world just to appease a few people. Instead of returning to Asia again in 2034 it should have been earmarked for South America and for one of those countries or another joint effort across a few countries.
-
Australia decided not to bid to focus on the Women's Asian Cup in 2026 - yeah righto, that and a big fat brown envelope. Also "Morocco, Portugal and Spain will host the 2030 tournament, with matches also in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay." - Missed this one in the news, why are there games in South America for a WC in 3 other countries in Europe/Africa?

Had a couple of bottles of Tsingtao last night, not going to lie they tasted a bit weird compared to usual. Usually a nice drop.

Cheers for that! Interestingly, I've got a series S so will not have the split-screen co-op mode - have you played that mode much and do you think it will be a big miss?

Are there any plans to bring this to Xbox do we know? Googled and a few articles said it would be in 2023 but not heard a peep.

Respect that he couldn't decide what flowers to get so he just bought out the whole interior of the florists instead.

I doubt it, the PL was essentially a glorified rebrand of an existing league, admittedly it pumped a lot of money in to teams with the new TV deal from Sky, but essentially it didn't destroy English football. There's teams who were in the PL for the first few years that aren't now and vice versa. An NFL-style European Super League will be the end of the English game as we know it, it will become a closed-shop, there will never be an even playing field again as teams with money now will never be caught up with financially. If it does happen you'll have 2 factions, those following the mickey-mouse super league football and those following all of the other English teams minus the clown show hopefully.

What I mean is for a club of our size we are lucky we have so many people that want to go and watch our team - for the last 11/12 years we've not really had a problem filling our ground. Sadly though, you're right, that means the club will keep doing what they're doing because there's enough people that will cough up for the attendances to be big enough for them not to care about potential future fans. -

The clubs whole approach to ticketing, especially since returning after Covid, has been nothing short of scandalous. We're very lucky as a club we have a lot of people who want to go and see matches and most of these people are lucky enough to have a ST or be able to afford memberships each year. The fact that on top of all of the above, when there have been games that could go to general sale to allow casual/first-time fans to go to a match, they haven't been put on sale or you've had to buy them through someone with a purchase history, has been a massive shame for a club I always grew up thinking was a part of Leicester and behind the people of Leicester from top to bottom. The knock on affect of all of this is there's thousands of kids and teenagers that have never been to games or haven't been able to regularly, that will now grow up without any real connection to the club. By the time this comes to fruition, and I think it will be in the next 10-15 years when we have a bigger stadium, the club will be crying out for ticket sales and there will be a huge chunk of Leicester/Leicestershire that will then have no real desire to go. The people behind these issues now such as many of the senior management, Whelan, the Ticket Office, will all have moved on by then and it will be none of their business. It all feels very short term, squeeze what '£' we can get out of those who can pay now and then worry about the long term affects in further down the line.- 161 replies

LCFC Fans Consultative Committee Meeting 06/09/23 Minutes

I mean this genuinely, I do not know how you guys find the time or the strength to deal with the club for things like this - it is a good job you guys are all passionate about the club because with all the hoops and hurdles and jobsworth fans complaining about trivial things, I'd have jacked it in ages ago. In my mind of recent years some of the big games, the big occasions, TIFO's and displays are what are dotted in my mind with the memories. It feels like it's something the club should want, they should be crying out for passionate fans but it seems the hierarchy at LCFC and some of the older-school fans don't want it. -

Funny that the Champions League is referenced in the TIFO bit where people say they've 'missed out'. Our last game in the CL was nearly 6.5 years ago. Pathetic. Love the TIFO's, when we have one they whip the atmosphere up before the game, so sorry Mildred misses out on 2 minutes of the lads standing in a line and clapping/shaking hands. Like someone said above you've got a very small group here, some are clearly family members, I have zero trust or confidence they are representing our whole fanbase and or have the correct priorities in what needs to be discussed in these very limited opportunities to sit down with the club.
