Ben Chilwell: A possible star in the making
shailen replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
What sometimes frustrates me with him is that he never whips crosses in first time, he loves having a couple of touches which slows down our play. He has so many good qualities but this is one I hope he does more often. -
Haha think Ranieri got himself in a tangle when we lost Kante and lost a bit of control - he brought in Mendy who was not the same player and dropped Okazaki for Slim and we lost a lot of energy in the team. We then tried to put an extra body in midfield to make up for the loss but that left us short up front. This team is young and energetic and we have more talent now then we have ever had. They need some clear, simple guidance and BR seems like he is perfect at doing that.

It was so loud and everyone was joining in and you could see the scarves and clappers being held up. Amazing tribute!

Very much like Ranieri when he first came he understood our strengths and slowly implemented his style

Ben Chilwell: A possible star in the making
shailen replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I don't understand the criticism over Chilwell. He's proven to be a great outlet and he's very direct which scares defences. If his final delivery was better he would have so many assists by now. -
5 points away assuming wolves lose. With 8 games left that is definitely achievable but we will need to probably win 5/6 of the remaining games.

Surely there's no argunent that Kasper has been our best keeper in the last 20 years? Issue we may have going forward is that we need someone who can distribute the ball better which is what Puel and certainly Brendan want to use as a weapon. The modern day sweeper keeper position is what most teams are going towards.
-
Sometimes he does things at 100 miles and hour and I get he is trying to release us for an attack but away from home in the 90th minute you need to be smarter than that. He is an exceptional shot stopper but a little more composure in his kicking and distribution would help us massively.
-
He cannot be a keeper that plays out from the back if that is what we are trying to do. He's made countless mistakes with quick releases
-
Antonio Valencia anyone? Think he's a solid player - strong, quick and a greater crosser of the ball. Him and Ricardo would be frightening on the right
-
Oh Harry Maguire Fate tried to conspire They wanted to take our Harry away But Slabhead is a fox all day

To the tune of Jessie J price tag It's all about the glory, glory It's all about the glory, glory Brendan Rodgers loves the foxes Celtic fans are forever toxic It's all about the....foxes going up the league Ain't about the.....Scottish premier league Trying to make it in a....real league Not winning in your....Mickey mouse league

Very good point. Definitely true that man city are expected to play one way so it could appear more effective. I just think it could be such an effective weapon if he could do it more regularly especially against teams who sit back against us as it would catch them off guard
-
He's got everything but sometimes his distribution is a little bit off. I know he is rushing and trying to put us on the attack quickly but if we look at Ederson he literally gets assists from his goal kicks - they are that good.
-
A little more composure and this boy will be the real deal. Excited to see how he develops

To the tune of wes Morgan is a blue Brendan Rodgers is a fox, is a fox, is a fox Brendan Rodgers is a fox He hates Celtic

Anyone think spurs could win the league. If United win tomorrow and they win today they are 2 points off the top. -
Puel is at the wheel Tell me how does it feel We got Madders, Ben chilwell and Gray The future of England is us....oh yeah Dududududududududu The greatest story ever told It will never get old

Look we all have opinions. I'm sure we all have opinions about the people we work with or the teachers that teach us. We all go home and tell our families. But we get on with and do our jobs. Peter has made a mistake saying it in public but thay should not impact Kaspers position. He is still a great keeper and is performing to the best of his abilities. If Puel isn't strong enough or takes it personally then clearly he isn't made for the job. He should know Kasper is our number 1. It's interesting that some of the so called senior players want the manager out. There's got to be something wrong - us fans will moan about it but it feels like a Mourinho situation although I do think our players are giving 100% unlike United were - but are restricted within Puels philosophy. This seems to now be draining the whole squad.
-
Should have won the league with Liverpool bit for that Gerrard slip....The second best moment in the history of sport. I would definitely take him as he knows the league and would play a style more suited to us.

United playing the way we did in 15/16. The counter attack - making football as simple as it can be. -
He better play otherwise we're stopping his development. If he gets game time then fair enough.
