  1. Robertson has the end product that Chilwell needs to deliver more consistently to be a top player.
  2. Tune of Don't take me home Don't take him home, Please don't take him home, Youri wants his loan move to work. He wants to stay here, give him 5 years, Please don't take him home.
  3. He hasn't been playing since we signed him. Secretly it's Mendy getting all those goals and assists.
  4. I think the Harry Kane vs Vardy debate was always an interesting one and whilst Kane is a world class striker that is good at everything, I always felt that Vardy was more the player that defenders would hate to play against. Kane loves the ball to feet whereas defenders hate the ball in behind and there is no one better in world football at those runs imo and hassling defenders with his aggression. I really do believe that if managers had more faith in him in the tournament games, we would have gone a lot further.
  5. He is a world class striker that has it all. I cannot think of a weakness in his game. Above all, he is an intelligent player and his movement is incredible. We have been so lucky and are still lucky to have a player like him at the club.
  6. He seems to be too extreme in his approach in first legs. Away at anfield last season they were too open and away at spurs they were too defensive.
  7. Yesterday's game was probably one of the most incredible and intense games I have seen for a long time, which had everything. Even though there is a dislike to spurs from me, I think I enjoy seeing man city go out even more as they are quite simply an amazing side.
  8. He's very similar to Sterling at the same age imo. Needs more composure in attacking areas and he could have had loads more goals and assists this season. I would give him a chance still but he needs to refine areas of his game over the summer.
  9. I think we aren't miles away from Arsenal and Chelsea. Arsenal have better strikers and forward thinking players than us but we have better defensive and midfield options imo. Chelsea have a great midfield but take out hazard who could be on his way out and Kante playing out of position they are an average side for me. Both teams have those star players (Hazard, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Kante) who have all performed to take them above us, but overall both squads for me are weaker than ours. Also we have a better manager than both teams who understands the league and has had success nearly everywhere he has been.
  10. Agreed that he hasn't shown enough to start when he's had chances off the bench but he's only had cameo appearances, and a lot of the time he's not being asked to play the main striker role. Maybe he's not good enough for us and he's not shown enough I agree but Vardy looked totally ineffective whilst Puel was here and who is to say the same didn't happen with Nacho. He may improve likewise if he's given the chance by the fans as well under BR.
  11. Agreed but rightly he has not really had much time to prove himself because of how good Vardy can be and has been. He's only had a handful of appearances and most of them are from the bench. Why he then gets mocked is beyond me?
  12. He hasn't been great this season but why boo a player when he is just coming on. Fair enough if we boo the team once the game is over but for 90 minutes there has to only be support for the 11 men in blue on that pitch. If nacho had missed the chance Vardy did then everyone would have gone crazy. For me he's not had enough of a chance this season.
  13. He gets into great positions but 90% of the time he then wants to go backwards and the other 10% he rarely beats the first man. Has everything in his locker but needs to improve his first time crossing ability when his runs have already stretched defences.
  14. I'm not sure he even touched the ball after he came on unless I'm mistaken. The criticism he gets sometimes is unjust.
  15. Mentioned this in the match thread but was genuinely shocked that the team were just blatantly ignoring him. Made so many good runs and could have been through a couple of times but was just ignored This imo is a massive problem if there was anything intentional in this and surely something Brendan would not stand for.
  16. I think carragher made a good point today. We love inward wingers with the full backs providing width but with their 5 at the back, Gray and Barnes were marked out the game. The winger should be out wide when receiving the ball with the opposite winger cutting in to support the attack.
  17. This must have looked so much more extreme under Puel as we've won the last 3 home games without him.
  18. Strange interview by Sarri - sounds like hazard is going.
  19. Part of me thinks mahrez would not have fitted into this team. There is a lot of energy, movement, one touch passing with our current team. Mahrez would have dropped deep and demanded the ball which is exactly what Maddison does at a quicker tempo. Mahrez was ridiculously skilful but he had players to cover him when what he tried didn't come off. We would be leaking goals with mahrez and Ricardo on that right side.
  20. To the tune of dancing in the moonlight Youri Tie-li-mansssss Everybody's wanting to sign him up He's such a fine and natural sight Playing through balls to vardy day and night.
  21. Better decision making and finishing ability and he can be as good as sterling. I see a lot of sterling in him and a bit of refinement and composure to his game - he can just be as good.
  22. Wow - that is actually incredible.
  23. Although I can't bear Liverpool fans, I'd rather they won it than Man City. It's not even the money thing as all clubs have to invest to grow but it's almost like they have spent beyond their means and have somehow not been harshly dealt with by FFP. To me they are the BT Sport of football - just excessive in everything they do.
  24. PL goals since Aug 2016: Kane 76 Aguero 60 Lukaku 53 Salah 49 Vardy 46 With the service Vardy would have received compared to the others - can we say definitively that we have a world class striker. It's incredible what he has done for us.
