  1. How the stadium shook when that header went in...
  2. "I can live with despair. It's the hope, the hope that kills me."
  3. Milan Mandaric managed to get us into League One, too.
  4. Some of the criticism is valid, just when I think of all the times he got bullied off the ball (by lighter opponents). But can you get your head around the fact that he's still second in assists this season, behind Fatawu? That should be the job of our wingers or attacking midfielders. They are letting Luke down to some extent. He's the scapegoat for their failures.
  5. Solid, calm. collected. Impressed by yesterday's game. I do hope it's not just a one-off. May it continue.
  6. We need to start with a clean slate. The previous League One campaign was cathartic. And it reunited the fans with the club. People who laugh at the thought of dropping down a league forget games such as Leeds at home (probably the best atmosphere that I've ever experienced) or Hereford away (dangerous terraces, but very charming).
  7. We need a disciplinarian, a professional, a guy who doesn't give a crap about feelings or divas, a man who can communicate right, puts emphasis on defending and getting the basics right. 28 league games without a clean sheet! The truth is on the pitch.
  8. Lost his mojo a long time ago. It's as if we're playing with ten men with him on the pitch. He doesn't want to be in this league, probably thinks he deserves better. Shame, because I think there's a very tidy player somewhere in there. At least Fatawu is making himself heard. Mavididi has been pretty much lacklustre all throughout this season so far. I count two (!) goals and one (!) assist. Shambolic, shameful for a well-paid winger in the team with the highest payroll in the entire league.
  9. Did it again yesterday. Why is he moving to the CDM position when he's supposed to be our right-back? Leaves so much space open on his side.
  10. Still our third-highest goalscorer this season, alongside Ayew. One assist in 24 games for us (Transfermarkt credits him with two assists, the second one being for the West Brom own goal last September). Which says it all. He has little to no impact, and when he shows up in the stats, it's because others are doing the hard work for him. I can recall maybe two, three great games of him, the rest he's just been on the pitch. Underwhelming comes to mind. Which you could equally say about pretty much 80 to 90 percent of this squad.
  11. I read it. Up until this day, the club management have failed to explain what our "ambitions" actually are. Not even a single word about relegation to League One. I'm fuming.
  12. Currently at one win in the past eight matches. That's definitely relegation form, points deduction or no points deduction.
  13. So easy to score against us. Static, passive play. We're just ball-watching. And we're going down.
  14. Daka is really trying hard to stand in for Ayew.
  15. Oh, look. Groundhog day. Another red card in the first half. What a disciplinary record of recent. BDCR can fook off! How thoughtful of the team.
  16. Abdul makes it 1-1. Great strike!
  17. Who needs Ayew when you have Daka?
  18. "... covering the threat of Daka." What threat?
  19. Re: Faes: Picked up an ankle injury in his second game for Monaco (subbed in the 29th minute against Le Havre). Could be back in the squad on Sunday.
  20. People forget: You don't need positive influence on the pitch alone. No matter how often Lascelles will be able to play in the last 16 league games this season, maybe he can act as an inspiration regardless. Because one thing is clear: What this club needs more than anything else is leadership – and professionalism.
  21. First points deduction in the club's history. Well, in a sportive sense, one season in League One was bad enough, I always thought. But maybe that's exactly what we need (again). Relegation, a harsh cut, regroup and find that fighting and winning spirit again, with relatable players and a manager who actually cares and gets the best out of the squad. Right now, we're a complete mess, on and off the pitch. The complacency, naïveté and ignorance at this club is next level. Look at what we've done with the PL title legacy. Everybody involved just took a big dump on it. I wish Vichai was still alive. Top is fvcking clueless.
  22. Final Fantasy VII Remake. Torn about this. Stunning graphics, great tunes, and then there's the nostalgia factor. And I do understand that you can't pack the original on one or two discs. What If we'd waited for another couple of years to get the full game. from Midgar to the crater, as one? I remember the original fondly, how I caught the FF bug, the hours spent (at night, into morning) in front of a CRT TV. How I loved (and still love) that game. Sadly, and understandably, the remake was always to be more padded. SquarEnix had to make sure they fill many gaps in the story in order to offer a 50+ hour game for the retail price they're asking. That includes the somewhat repetitive side quests. The additional dialogue takes one out of the story, as well. And there's so many new characters now, maybe too many. I find that somewhat distracting from the main plot. Also, maybe a tad bit too many cutscenes and not enough action. I'm slowly adapting to the altered fighting system. Can be a bit hectic at times. All in all, I'm a bit underwhelmed. And maybe it's because of the impact and the importance of the original. Still is a very good game, mind. (And I want a physical copy for Xbox so bad)
