  1. The steadfast KPFC (mostly on facebook) lot are low-information, passive fans generally. They don't follow football writ large, they don't know what directors of football are supposed to do, what going rates are for players etc, why we can't shift the crap. They're bowled over by free doughnuts etc because it's something tangible whereas the behind the scenes stuff is gobbledegook. Vichai's death means KP and Top should just never be questioned in their eyes. So that lot have to be ignored because they have nothing constructive to say about our ownership, just emotional whataboutery.
  2. All of them haven’t completely reversed the upward trajectory of their clubs in about 3 years? We’ve gotten worse more or less every year Top has been in charge.
  3. I’m off to York next weekend so they’re useful, was just going to do European Bar Guide’s crawl which I guess is similar. Pound-for-pound looks like it’s one of the best.
  4. The managerial recruitment process has always been toss. We were well ran up to 15/16 because Pearson’s appointments were in place still. There is no strategy if any success or lack of it comes down to individuals. The well run clubs across Europe have a level of alignment across departments that transcends individuals. Our successful recruitment happened under Walsh and Macia, under everybody else it’s about a 20% hit rate.
  5. He's off it this season but we've had two of our worst ever PL managers not being picked by those two isn't as damning as it might be. He was promoted with Norwich and in the PFA TOTY last time. I'm not a fan of his particularly and it was a stupid signing but he's a good Championship player.
  6. This is particularly bad stretch of the market now. Feels sketchy along there
  7. We're not selling him anytime soon, he was good for Norwich in the championship when he last played in it. He's also not one of the culpable twats this season (directly).
  8. It paints the club in a bad light but the news cycle moves quickly. What happens in 6 months' time when the press move on, UFS are still banned? It's better to lobby against the regime visually in the ground each week rather than kicking up enough a fuss to be banned once. The club will start to notice when attendances drop, they have their head in the sand now - the moment has to be right.
  9. The risk is the club just crackdown and UFS and ban even more members without achieving much at all. A big stunt would catch the media attention for a week which wouldn't be worth effectively wrapping the group up over. The people at the club that deal with UFS are pretty far removed from the top brass. Even at FCC meetings Whelan will just defen the club status quo anyway.

  11. I'd like to see this sort of line up next season. Stolarcyzk New RB Souttar Nelson Thomas Skipp New CM Fatawu BEK Alves New ST Braybrooke, Evans, Cartwright, Ali, Joseph et al to get minutes in the cups and off the bench. 4 academy grads and a much younger side is instantly more likeable because they'll try and mostly aren't grossly overpaid.
  12. You can make some allowances for those other sides. This team is expensively assembled and through a lack of ability, legs, desire or will is just abysmal, coached by an abysmal manager part of an abysmal, dysfunctional club.
  13. I don't think Lako meant UFS, well I hope not anyway
  14. We're shit, shit, shot negotiators and I don't think anybody has said that more than I have but it depends on the purchasing club too. Hermansen is a top notch keeper both in terms of shot stopping and with the ball, a rarity and there's plenty of clubs that will be keeping tabs on him. £35m should be the absolute minimum - really a sensible club would get closer to £50m. Onana went for £50m.
  15. Their book value was far higher then - it's not now so we'll accept previously unacceptable bids. We turned down a bid for Soumare perviously. Kristiansen played for a Bologna side that finished 5th in Italy. They're not good enough for the PL but they're more than good enough for the midtable teams in worse leagues. Soumare is a title winner in France. They don't want to play in the championship or be here in general.
  16. Hermansen will go for £35m-ish. Kristiansen and Soumare around £10m each, Okoli and Faes would fetch a fee. We'll make that in salesadn then reinvest in a load of shit. We signed Coady for £7m ish without a manager because we 'lacked leaders', such trite, intangible bullshit only our móng board would fall for..
  17. What comes after apathy? Whatever it is that’s what I’m at. Lifeless club
  18. They’ve made lots of dumb decisions but this will be the worst yet. If they do it’ll be yet another false economy option, oh we can’t spend another £5m on a managerial sacking so we’ll just throw away our best chance of promotion.
  19. It’ll be the making of him. He needs to add goals, has the technique but not the movement and timing yet. Should be targeting 12+ goals and 15+ assists. Fatawu also needs to add more goals - ideally our next manager actually helps develop players rather than constrains them with a system-over-everything approach.
  20. We’ll contrive to get about £36m and pay £11m for Jorgensen or something equally braindead
  21. I don’t think 75% of the championship would lose 4 times to that shambles
  22. They won none of his last 13 games with the foundations of a champions league squad. He’s a crap PL manager - fine, he’s a decent championship one.
  23. And he was at 0.82 ppg with us, there’s a razor thin margin for him to replicate what he did at Forest with us - and he couldn’t do it. All with a squad built to play a totally different style of play too. He’s a crap manager.
  24. How is it irrelevant? If you’re looking to stay up appointing somebody with 52 points from 55 games is huge gamble. Particularly when it looked like we’d have to win more games than usual owing to a potential deduction. He’s a crap PL manager with a record akin to Steve Kean’s and his recruitment has set us back years. It was all fairly predictable.
  25. In 15 years under KP we’ve appointed a manger employed by another club TWICE and one of them was Pearson. Just pure laziness, never have we appointed a manager that hasn’t already worked in England. It’s completely myopic.
