Getting Braybrooke on tap is such an open goal, falling that Round Corner or another local brewery would do. Leicester and the surrounding county is full of food producers, something that is a genuine point of difference between us and similar counties/clubs - a pork pie and pint deal would go down a storm. Plus there's the textiles heritage, Fred Perry still produce polos here so there's huge collaboration potential. Admiral, Wolsey, Gola were all established in Leicester. Imagine an Admiral shirt with Walkers, Caterpillar, Next or Dunelm as the sponsor? The enabling works to ensure the ground can host gigs reliably surely wouldn't cost too much, or at least quickly provide an ROI. The stadium is hugely underutilised outside of match days, a big gig every year fills the coffers nicely. There are barely any decent places to watch sport in Leicester, why not turn the lounge into a good sports bar open 50x more often than match days? Again Leicester punches above it's weight with sport, engage with the Tigers, County, Riders, Speedway, Selby and so on with reciprocal deals - the possibilities are huge, act like a club with the reach we have. For too long the executive structure at he club has had the chief exec completely siloed off from sporting decisions and the two are obviously interlinked. High risk, high reward signing I think. He hadn't done an awful lot until last season, big risk with the overall lack of minutes but last season he had 0.9 xG per 90 - if he gets half of that and starts 40+ games he'll end up with around 20 goals. He'll have to adapt to playing 90 on Saturday and Tuesday week in and week out though, you'd think with McCarron's S&C background we might just have an idea on which players can step up.

Any players poached prior to 18 should have an automatic x% sell on clause of say 15/20/25/30% - by all means poach players but it's going to cost you when it comes to selling

Per capita they’re a very well supported team, Derby’s catchment is tight and hemmed in for an already small-ish city. Probably about 500k all in and their attendances have been strong for decades. Our catchment is probably twice the size but that’s not really been reflected in historic attendances

The games we did win were because of individual quality e.g James and Fatawu long shots. I totally get your point but Alves, Braybrooke, Chaplin and Burns are better than L1 players - just about the majority of the time we’ll win games because there is a talent mismatch that will eventually tell. I think Martin may actually sting our attacking efficacy by being overly structured and control-obsessed. We also do have a broadly better set of personalities now so even if the talent was there, the application wasn’t.

I think our plan A will be pretty good and let's say 50-60% of the time our quality will be too much for most teams but as the season goes on there will be a workable blueprint of how to stop us - a bit like in 23/24. I don't think Martin has the ability or humility to really adapt in the face of this. Our squad depth is a huge concern, naturally we'll get a few more in but we should have been about 80% sorted by now and you can make the case we need 4 new CBs, a proper DM and at least one other striker if Bristric is as good as done. It's not difficult to imagine we go into next season without actually fixing two out of three long term problem positions. I was and I am still against the appointment but we've also set him up to fail by not acting sharply enough in the market. Equally Martin has pushed for players that don't solve our glaring issues.
