  1. “They’re good at making small children happy when they drive past and can say loo at them” “But these heifers are barren and won’t produce anymore” ”This place is so negative, we’re going to be signing young Jersey cows anymore are we?? Get real”
  2. We sign a load of shit but I really don’t how much of that is on Glover, we’re so agent led. If he had any integrity he’d leave though.
  3. Players signed on >= 3 year deals the prior to relegation don’t count towards the SCMP rules and neither do U21s. Our actual cash flow will be a problem but I didn’t realise how light touch the regs are. The sales and even a tiny bit of owner funding should put enough cash in to cover the costs for a season. We have about 15 (including some returning loanees) senior players as of July. Even if Choudhury, Vestergaard, Reid and Thomas stay our wage bill should surely be on stable footing? Provided we don’t go daft (…) on wages offered to new recruits the big cost basis. I guess the killer and what we don’t know exactly is what transfer instalments we still owe and any loan repayments.
  4. I think most engaged fans have filled it in. It’s not thousands are ignoring it but we simply have small minority who actually give a shit
  5. Wilson-Brown, Braybrooke, Evans, Alves and Joseph will be involved because they’ve been out on loan. Gray, Aluko, Otchere probably won’t get as many minutes as they should. We don’t break with our failing habits because nothing changes. Page is probably the exception as he already looks like he’s ready.
  6. Last summer posters on here would have said “They’ll do a job at this level”
  7. There is no urgency there at all
  8. It’s fine to fight tooth and nail legally to avoid punishment if we then got the house in order. Instead we got lucky once and presumed we could fight with law fare rather than the mismanagement eventually catching up. Instead we just carried on spending recklessly. The summer 25 window was delusional and frivolous. The only good permanent signing was El Khannouss and we managed to make a loss! We’ve been in some degree of financial difficulty since summer 22 and it was only three years later, after a second relegation in three years, we stemmed the transfer spending. The lack of redundancies, mothballing of Belvoir Dr, maintaining the number of stewards, floating away ID checks and so on means they’re not reconciling with the financial disaster STILL.
  9. I went via the Dead Poets but walked it, didn’t take long but there were some steep hills
  10. The Soar Point, it’s a shame no TV cameras were there like in the Market Tavern and I think the Local Hero. Liminal experience in the aftermath of Hazard’s goal, I’d had a bet on him as next goal scorer too which paid for the night. I was expecting to go to Republic so wore some terrible jeans and sheux combo. IIRC a photo of me up a lamppost made it onto BBC news’ article
  11. Just watched the highlights, two things stood out. Page’s lack of minutes has been scandalous and my word Thomas is shit.
  12. No f uck him, lazy, greedy, stupid player. QPR’s first said it all
  13. His third goal of the season, he’s shit
  14. His peak was incredible, for a brief period of time he actually may have been the best RB in the world. He’s been nowhere near it the last 24 months but that’s on the club and Rudkin for dishing out stupid deals to an injured player. I wish it could have ended differently but it feels like he wishes that even more.
  15. He would be a bona fide club legend if we hadn’t dished out stupid contracts when he was injured.
  16. Should be 0 loanees in the starting XI and absolutely should be our youngest age average XI. Sums us up though that in the deadest of rubbers we'll still go for experience. Despite having the most expensive training ground in the world, our academy director as the DoF and being let down by the experience over and over again.
  17. Ramsey, Antonio (almost) and Lascelles in the same season is exactly why there is no floor to this decline under Top. If you can’t run an institution that learns lessons from failure (Pearson & Co did the reverse) - it’s doomed to repeat the same mistakes forever
  18. Not fair. He’s excellent at getting relegated
  19. The results will be released via the FEF after it's been through a consultation first via FCC meetings and then cascaded upwards to the FAB as part of inclusive and transparent supporter engagement efforts and an NDA has been signed ready for a timely realise in September.
  20. Maybe he will come back one day in a coaching role?
  21. Whelan stepped in for Maguire. Fofana was just an obvious talent, didn’t require much negotiating ability to get that for him.
  22. Jim is ok, he’s shafted and not-my-job-mate’d lots of people. He’s also gone out of his way to help people. There’s a big culture and process problem
  23. We’ve seen how good he can be, writing him off when the club has imploded is daft. He’ll go elsewhere and completely flourish - he’ll then move for at least double what we sell him for. Put him in a functioning team with an actual striker and he’ll fly.
