  1. I went to a restaurant on Saturday with a decent rep in London. However, I was completely put off when I found it was in a hotel. I don't think have ate somewhere thinking depending on where you sit could directly affect your evening so much. If you sat to one point, you were effectively in the reception; it just wasn't well laid out.
  2. Near my childhood home. Before its increase in reputation for the food, it had an appalling crowd hanging around it.
  3. There's no general tactics thread.
  4. Fundamentally our shape has some consistent errors which teams are taking advantage of 1 - The use of Andrew Hughes has a combination of first team coach and set pieces means we are often prioritising height/physicality over technical ability. You can see the selection choices done on this - as Saturday shown with a midfield combo of Wilf & Soumare. My other gut was this was why Justin was picked over Ricardo at the start of the season. 2. - We continually allow the deepest midfielder of any opposition far too much time and space. With no assigned no.10, they are often free when we press and thus completely puts us into meltdown. Our central midfielders have been asked to protect the defence by not going to far forward, they retreat to 18 yard box from any set play the opposition has in their half of the pitch. This has been highlighted massively in three games; Chelsea home, Caicedo, Ipswich away, Morsy, Brentford away. This absolutely kills any attempts at pressing teams and winning the ball high up the pitch. The only time we've came up with an effective formula for this was Bournemouth at home - Ayew played like a no.10, he was so inconsistent in possession but did an excellent job in screening passes to Lewis Cook. Bournemouth eventually found a way around this hence their second half dominance. 3 - Buonanotte. Now this kid is very good - really good but he doesn't trust a lot of his team mates. He's increasingly he used on the right and then comes inside. This badly affects the right flank. Not only on counter-attacks but even in organised shape. He has a tendency to get far too involved because he doesn't believe his team-mates can give him the ball or get further up the pitch. He has to be used as a no.10 whereby he's more involved and doesn't sleep on his defensive duties. I don't think it's a surprise, that when Fatawu played, we had a decent shape for once - partly full backs from opposition didn't want to push and partly he works hard. They are some of the wider shape problems we have. Plenty of others when it comes the lack of midfield runners and the full-backs not being narrow. It's depressing when the only player who is doing their job in terms of role is you bloody near 38 year old striker.
  5. Would make has many absolute howlers as Faes? Not for me.
  6. He left..... To which the club reacted by releasing a highly critical statement of Enzo and also clearly worded that it had been passed a solictors' eyes. Rather telling you can't find that statement on the official website anymore (certainly via the twitter link).
  7. I AM BEING HELD CAPTIVE. PLEASE RELEASE THE CASH NOW TO SECURE MY RELEASE AND SAVE THEM FOR FFP
  8. He liked the official instagram post with the sacking of Steve Cooper as well
  9. Easy to do when you haven't shelled out £100+
  10. As good as no doubt Harborough was, that's the biggest game in the clubs history. Their home games might as well be played in a supermarket car park in terms of atmosphere as well as the club have progressed.
  11. Quorn whacked Rugby 6-0 on Saturday. Alongside Ramsgate, they are the only two clubs unbeaten in the top eight tiers of English football (in the league).
  12. It's very shush, shush but the policy has been largely unchallenged because most clubs from the bottom end of the Championship to the middle of the National League were losing money hosting midweek winter replays (unless the TV stepped in). For example, if you look at last year's competition, Second Round replays. Port Vale v Stevenage just scrapped 2k (Vale 4k for 1st Round), Stockport v Aldershot 3k (Stockport got 7k in 1st Round), Walsall v Alfreton just over 2k. Those attendances are away down on what they can normally pull for a Saturday fixture. That the logistical challenges for the non-league clubs was getting hard to host such games. It's very sad but a huge sign of the times.
  13. Slightly away from the beer but slightly related. Going to the Black Dog, I got off at South Ealing. I don't think you could get two more contrasting walks to the same football ground. South Ealing felt well, normal. Chiswick is like middle class Disneyland - a pretty but totally soulless area.
  14. Wallace at best is a weirdo and narcissist. His desperate attempts to cling on are so Partridge.
  15. You can see his aura being zapped away every moment. Even more so whilst he’s relying on a couple of tactical terrorists to help
  16. Jake Evans insta Deleted it now but he reshares the video of Rudkin out chants yesterday
  17. Youth team player going after him 😂 on insta
  18. That cafe in August this year had us sitting on a couple of pints for about three hours. I loved De Wetering

  22. Trawled around London yesterday Black Dog Beer House near Griffin Park Very solid showing - a trio of Deya, Ayinger and some session IPA from a local brewery Old Guards Horseman Irish boozer with about six screens and Guinness at £5.30 a pint. Also saw a bloke with haslet meat vaccum packed in his hand, so extra point there Dont even know it’s name - some rank nothing pub in Chiswick Dreadful but need a half time break on way to Shepherds Bush Some wanky place called something Social, Shepherds Bush Solid Guinness - most people in there were nobs. Some grub at Chet’s - 7/10 showing Managed a final pint of Guinness at King Charles 1. What a lovely boozer that Anyways, onto Turin next week and we hang up the trawling boots bar a 12 pubs of Leics on 29th subject to approvals. Then Brum On 4th Jan
  23. He’s thinking about jobs in the future and his own. If he’s asked a question about his old employers, he’s not going to criticism them is he? It’s a bad look. The club has a right falling out with Enzo and his agent in July - to the point he stopped using his agency for signings Enzo’s best mate Guillem Balague consistently kept referring to there being individuals at LCFC which would hold him back
  24. PR works well in football. Good to keep all future employers and your agent happy
  25. I don’t know how if you were his CB partner or his keeper, you could ever form a partnership where you can trust him (which is huge in a defensive set up)
