  1. The big part of this is that Northcroft would have been a novice as well but had to dig dip for his book and job.
  2. Italy with it’s taste for corruption has a number of clubs what issue baby go kits to local hospitals
  3. Totally. The calibre of opposition he scored against for England speaks well. Italy, Spain, Netherlands & Germany in there alongside the others
  4. The big plus with Northcroft is as an Aberdeen fan he gets the position Leicester fans are. Aberdeen had a glorious 80s and should have established themselves as the 3rd best in Scotland but they are incredibly inconsistent. His point about indifference is huge. That’s the most worrying thing at the moment. Our fanbase is largely not bothered
  5. It’s not very flat! There is an infamous hill you have to go up twice
  6. That had me in stitches. My immediate thought was that these pairings might be very difficult to warm towards but other the human side comes out in the latter episodes. The 60 yr mum and her son - I get the feeling his Dad isn't going to come looking well out of this.
  7. Respective player of the seasons awards I believe. The plate being the EFL and Barclays being PL
  8. I would like to take credit cos I saw Northcroft on a walk down Great Central Way and told Ric. Cheers
  9. Yep pretty mad. It's 2025. Incredible that this was the level of preparation.
  10. Cooper was not a leader by any stretch. Almost too honest. A lot of the journos have shared below, so no harm. The Edouard deal he wanted, then back out of, and then wanted. Then didn't play him. Club were very apologetic Other time wheeling out the analysts in front of the media after Palace away like a conspiracy theorist about the 2-2 equaliser being offside. You've had half of the Championship with jobs and he hasn't been touched.
  11. True but his poor management of the club is likely to led to redundancies this summer and a knock on to the city’s economy. I’m sure that image of him laughing will stick in the head of those unfortunate to suffer
  12. Hellberg was excellent at Varnamo which nearly got him the Sunderland job. At Hammarby they lose a player or two a season whereas Malmo have the handy CL funds
  13. Kim Hellberg at Hammarby is better. Rydstrom is from the Maresca stubborn school
  14. Well they haven’t built the ticketing system online because you have to ring, visit or email to move. So that’s a pain in the arse tomorrow on the phone
  15. He’s not happy at QPR that’s for certain. He’s been steady there without being superb
  16. 3 play-off semis across the county on Saturday Aylestone Park v Eynesbury Rovers Heather St Johns v Coton Green Leicester St Andrews v Bradley Town
  17. All dependent on the Southern Premier South playoffs - some rumblings that Merthyr might be the unlucky ones but if Gloucester win the playoffs, the league has an easy answer. Generally speaking the travelling is about the same due to Torquay, Truro, Weymouth.
  18. Both the Wolves and Bournemouth fan who I work with say stay clear
  19. Which makes sense on paper (and I'm sure you agree with this) but it requires a DoF with a proper vision for what they want the club to look like and the wider strategy. So when manager decides he wants to pick one of his favourites or an agents suggestion, someone says 'not good for LCFC'
  20. There's a gap between your thinking and my thinking - my argument isn't anything to do with the chasing of success etc. My PoV isn't on the basis of the have or have nots or wanting a perfect owner from the city - I am not naive, its on the view of the erosion of the clubs heritage, history and links to the community over promoting Thailand (which occurred on Sunday). As that erosion continues, it's no longer my club I fell in love with and it's a club with a decreasing attachment to Leicester as a city - rather the city plays host to a football team every two weeks between August and May. The passing on from a Thai millionaire to another suggests the priority is keeping Thailand at the top table rather than Leicester at the top table. Hence forms the gap for a fan-led club which is a celebration of city and community. You can respectfully be a multi-millionaire but aware of a clubs importance a link to the city and its community. Someone like Bill Foley has fostered that at three sporting clubs he's invested in (Vegas, Bournemouth & Auckland). Or the guys at Wrexham for example.
  21. Employers would crap themselves at another bank holiday over this period.
  22. Cynically did no-one sign up for Reid & Ayew and now they've picked two players who have a bit more popularity (by all accounts McAteer is apparently a very good egg off the pitch).
  23. We will see. But if this club is effectively going to be used as a sport washing arm of Thailand, then I'll be off. The names speculated are bigger money but again their fortune is from beneficial agreements with the Thai government. Given the stadium has been on more than one occasions used as a place of political meetings, I can see some truth in it.
  24. Be an interesting summer for FFP - potentially the next Leicester if they can't shift anyone. It's where the Asensio and Rashford signings were a risk but at least calculated, by being loans.
  25. PSR isn't the problem on the gap. All three promoted clubs spent serious money in the summer including ourselves with our PSR concerns. Ipswich dropped £120m. It's for me clubs spend the money so scattergun and terribly that their squads are polluted with poor players. The key to PL survival is getting your keeper and centre back pairing right. Look at us in 2015 or Wolves this season, both in January.
