  1. Henry Winter critical of the owners decision making on his podcast. About as damning as you'd get off him
  2. First Playoff Game confirmed as the unusual time of Monday 5th May (bank holiday) at 1.30pm
  3. To match what the other Premier Leagues club - my understanding is they are also contacted by the clubs if they notice a pattern form with their non attendance.
  4. Yeah I am not liking the variety of his choices. On his early crawls, he loves a Jazz bar.
  5. Finding Berlin a bizarre mix for boozers. Any suggestions welcome - going early June, so hopefully garden weather
  6. Dunno. Personally I think the Birmingham owner's have OTT. They overpaid on a piece of land by over £1 million to secure it. If it's anything like the Americans as well, they will leverage as much debt off the football club as possible. There's ambition and then there's daft
  7. Given Top has a majority controlling stake, it would be unlikely but given we can’t spend anymore due to FFP, it would be an understandable premise if the family didn’t want Top to continually get throwing the fortune at it. The owners inability to correctly deal with responsibilities and lack of direct communication has people speculating. So you have a lot of rumour making up the void
  8. Really enjoyed Stockholm for 4 days. Friday evening flight, left yesterday morning. Extremely lucky with gorgeous weather - perfect with the sunlight hours beginning at 5am, end at 8pm. It's a city what lacks an outright landmark, so doesn't get itself plastered all over tourism suggestions. While in the process, it probably has more to do than a lot of European capitals. I was just disappointed we didn't get out on the archipelago. A lot to do for children (around Djugardens) while Sodermalm is firmly in that gentrified bracket. Struggle to find a city with so many bars and restaurants seemingly busy all the time - the post work pint hasn't disappeared from Sweden anyway. Two to three areas with very distinctive feels but all of it clean, efficient and low on chaos. Reminded me of Vienna but probably better because it feels some what anglo-led, they have more in common with us (Swedes) than most of Europe. It helped I had one of the best travel experiences I've ever had watching football but still highly recommend. Understand the concerns about the price but we found ti to be not too far off London prices. There was the occasional expensive beer if you use imported for example but food in restaurants was probably 10% more expensive. Accommodation was difficult to find decent value and you have to be canny getting to Arlanda (the Express is a rip-off when they are traditional trains twice a hour running to Uppsala which stop there at two thirds the price). Would love to go in the summer and get out on the islands. However, I think we got lucky going in April having good weather and tourists were not grabbing every inch of the pavement.
  9. Now having watching his team play in one of the worst games of professional football I've ever watched - hard pass. Another of too stubborn to a philosopher crop. Hammarby's manager is probably the better prospect I'd say in Swedish football and will prove to be the better manager. Kim Hellberg
  10. A good bit of transparent intel into how we work. The two most unwanted players we signed in the summer have a horrid pattern to them of agents names reappearing. Okoli and Edouard same agent. While Skipp has the same agent as Cooper and all his staff. Although looks like John Morris is back in the good books - He's BBM's agent There's some patterns regards us which isn't pretty. The two most unwanted players sharing agents with others signed.
  11. Easy to play with the foot off - keep the wins coming domestically. Been given duff info tbh but it was pointed out to me that teams might not be so precious about their placings in the league phase now after PSG's position.
  12. Interested to see how that goes. Played them first game and Saints were better all over the park
  13. Sold out - https://pzpn.pl/federacja/aktualnosci/2025-04-10/bilety-na-final-pucharu-polski-zostaly-wyprzedane Only way would be if you found a member of Legia or Pogon to get you a ticket (Polish your name has to match your ID) but looks like they go on sale today and they will sell out quickly too.
  14. Tbh I was disappointed with their Hatt bar. Too small. More space taken up by the pizza oven than much needed seating. This weekend everything for the summer is opening up for their two other sites. One which is in a park open up. Stigbergets is underrated compared to the other two. Superb IPA and burgers to die for
  15. The point you replied to was about this game being good. The latter stages have always been good quality. The penny hasn’t dropped for many that PSG’s success is in part because of the early format change. They only just qualified for the Top 24. They decided to rest players because the format is so open to abuse in this manner. Now their better players don’t have as many games in their legs. Next season the bigger clubs will realise the whole nonsense about finish 1st means a better draw is nonsense, win your 4 home games and you’ve qualified. Rest your best players in the away games
  16. It’s change nothing about the latter stages
  17. A run around Stockholm. 10 pubs over three days. Was a big fan of Mariestad Lager. If you are into your craft, did the trio of Mikkeller, Stigeberts and Ominpollo on Saturday night. I tell you rhey increase keep ‘getting English pubs right abroad. One of them had Kirstall Bitter and Purity Ale
  18. Sat in Arlanda after a corker of a weekend in Stockholm. I’d be out here in a shot over the summer if it didn’t cost big money on accommodation. Saturday Disappointingly the game at the Olympic Stadium got moved but had an excellent walk around it. You can run around the track if you wish free of charge. I’d just popped a hamstring running Parkrun so annoying as I’d have been back at some point. We went to Sundbybergs to see the home side win 3-1 in the sixth tier. The sun was beautiful and this was a club which was once second tier. Community feel, free of charge, clubhouse. Went to meet our new Hammarby fan to give over tickets and he suggested we meet him at 11am Sunday for pre match beers Sunday Well, what a day. We were treated like kings. Never bought a beer. Had a great time before kick off nearby the stadium. The guy explained he has two extra season tickets through his company. Any money they make goes to charity. Didn’t realise the seat was VIP, best seat in the house and then the locals bought us a scarf each. Glorious weather again. Hammarby much better than a tired Djurgarden with a 2-0 win. Supreme atmosphere, excellent tifos. After the game, a couple of beers and met more Hammarby fans. Conversations about a variety of things. A couple of guys who are big friends with Rapid Vienna. Left feeling incredibly lucky and thankful. Monday After a good day around the town, out to Solna for AIK v Malmo. Awful game but again very good atmosphere. Although at times AIK were very much of the Capo, stereo speak style but there was a point where the atmosphere rocked midway through the second half. Excellent modern stadium. Couple of things. The Swedes seem to have this healthy mix of German and English style support. There are issues with interruptions with games and pyro (Sundays game was delayed by ten minutes because Djurgarden wouldn’t release the tifo and they were expecting a big pyro show - instead they were revealed to be all wearing blue bin bags. 🤣 The big thing is they are on the 51% membership ownership format which helps drags the clubs in. The cost of everything here - the UK is catching up on food and drink for sure. It’s felt like paying for four days in London. Also feels society wise Sweden is like the UK twenty years behind and it will possibly head our way in the larger cities
  19. The alarming thing for me if you park his opinions to aside, the amount of damning words on young prospects and this bloke is an agent now? You wouldn’t want him anywhere near your lad if you were coming through at a club unless you were 15 stone of muscle and 6ft 3
  20. Too much skin in the game. Rudkin’s worked a superb role in keeping a circle of people around him that he’s put into good positions. There is a whole set of youth coaches which will defend him to the tilt and he’s happy to give ex Academy players a start in coaching to keep the good faith coming (seeing Beaglehole with Adi Yussef at Seagrave last week just very evident of that). The opinion of Rudkin is know to be toilet by some outside of LCFC circles and it gave an insight into the delusion which exists around the place.
  21. Ran Stockholm’s park run on Saturday. Trying to hold off some bloke behind me, had to go in a sprint, hamstring went ping three steps before the finish line.
  22. An all time classic today. Swedish football with the perfect blend of England and Germany
  23. Had the same with Northampton a couple of years. Was nuts the day before collecting from a hotel.
  24. Perfect city break. Lots to do. Not expensive. Shame the government are horrible
