I was watching the first 30 mins thinking "yup, I was right, same old shit as last season...relegation battle here we come".. then we suddenly remembered how to play football!! Castagne was impressive, not just cause he scored but before that, his accurate, fast forward passing was a delight. Im not getting carried away, though we tore west brom up through the midfield in the second half, which was wonderful to see...ill allow myself a few hours of optimism before turning back into a negative nancy 😄

I agree! I'm very passionate about giving people second, third, etc chances, and I loved Drinkwater when he was at the club and have wanted someone to somehow help him since he left...but he just sounds like a thug, not at all the lost man I had imagined all this time. I still hope he can turn his life around though... Edited: I hadnt appreciated his behaviour could be due to mental health issues, which puts a different spin on things. Thanks for the other posters in this thread for highlighting that.
