Non-League Football 25/26
Leicesterpool replied to SemperEadem's topic in General Football and Sport
Mind since when did Savage understand the word loyalty always very quick to jump ship. -
Keith Andrews will be gone by October international break, I don't see that appointment going anywhere special. Trying to follow the same trend as before appoint someone already within like when Dean Smith left they went for the assistant manager. Sadly I think there's difference between Thomas Frank and Keith Andrews.

His success only really came at Leicester, if you look where else he has been you can't say he set the world alight. Leicester just seemed the perfect project for him.

Premier League 2025/26 Thread
Leicesterpool replied to OntarioFox's topic in General Football and Sport
It's not breaking the rules, its more of a smart sensible move. Maybe more clubs should look to do this, to get round this PSR rubbish. -
Least we can say Pearson left the club in a better place compared to where he found it plus left on a high. Not many ex foxes manager have been sacked by the club who departed despite gaining some positive results. From the board's point of view the decision was understandable and in terms of recruitment the next guy they replaced him with did alright Back in the days when when Vichai and Walsh ran the show, when recruitment was perfect.

Non-League Football 25/26

Even though Forest Green are in the national league, I still feel that Macclesfield are a much bigger club and capable getting back into EFL within the next two to three seasons. I just think if your going to leave Macclesfield least go for a bigger club in the EFL than a weird village team in gloucestershire that only one division above you. -
Is there any appointment that anyone find quite ambitious and would take you off guard if it was announced tomorrow. Obviously realistic names not like Mancini turning up.. like if the board say gone out and appointed Kasper Hjulmand as manager the former denmark gaffer.

Some saying the deal is off for now for Rangers. My guess it's partly to do with wages, can't see Rangers being able to match even half his wages at Leicester. Saying that rather Coady stayed much rather see Vestergaard and Faes out the door.

Mads Hermansen - Brentford Danny Ward - Wrexham Jakub Stolarczyk - LCFC Wout Faes - Marseille Conor Coady - LCFC Caleb Okoli - LCFC Jannik Vestergaard - Celtic Harry Souttar - LCFC Ben Nelson - LCFC Victor Kristensen - Brentford Ricardo Pereira - LCFC Luke Thomas - LCFC James Justin - LCFC Woyo Coulibaly - LCFC Olubade Aluko - LCFC Boubakary Soumare - Sevilla Wilfred Ndidi - Galatasaray Harry Winks - LCFC Oliver Skipp - LCFC Sammy Braybrooke - LCFC Hamza Choudhury - Sheffield United Michael Golding - LCFC Brandon Cover - LCFC Bilal El Khannouss - LCFC Stephy Mavididi - LCFC Kasey McAteer - LCFC Jeremy Monga - LCFC Will Alves - LCFC Abdul Fatawu - LCFC Bobby De Cordova Reid - LCCFC Wanya Marcal - LCFC Jordan Ayew - LCFC Jamie Vardy - Charlotte FC Patson Daka - Oh Leuven Jake Evans - LCFC I'm not expecting a lot will leave, most will remain and not many will come in. I do think Danny Ings will be one of targets as sort of replacement of Vardy... on the cheap basically as he's free. -
The roy keane and mick mccarthy film looks to be interesting. I never realised at the time how much a big deal it was in rep of ireland. At the time i just assumed keane was sent him over argument with the manager over the training preparation.. i never realised till i watched documentary recently there was a lot to it. Which of course will be covered in the film no doubt. It was clear this ill feeling towards each other had brewing for some time, out of nowhere Keane just seemed blew up with a massive rant at mccarthy.

Lionesses v Jamaica - KP Stadium - Sunday 29 June
Leicesterpool replied to davieG's topic in General Football and Sport
The pitch looked the worst i seen it for a while. Positive performance and atmosphere from the England fans. I do feel the women play with pride and do appreciate the fans support something perhaps the men lack. The only thing i hate is the mexico wave. -
Considering he hasnt finished his coaching badges and not managed at any level youd throwing him right in the deep end. As a player quite the quiet one.

A nice good buzz around leicester much needed after the season we had. -
Wilder would suck the life out the club with his bland football. It's worse than Dyche.
-
You give reason why you think he is?

Love Kingy but he aint management material.

Southgate steps down as England manager

You look back at past managers many more successful yet never got knighted. Unless sportsman do something unique then they shouldn't be knighted. If Ben Stokes got a knighthood then thats deserved... winning a cricket world cup in a heroic performance. -
Harrogate away would be cool.

Oxford... good luck getting to kassam -
He was built on Nathan Jones success at Luton. Once in the Premier league he didn't have a clue... no way hes championship manager. Play off final win again it was jones squad.

Wrexham away first up... which would be bad news. I'd take Swansea away first... sunny day by the sea and one furthest trips out the way. -
Some saying on the social media announcement tomorrow... like we havent that before.

Damien Duff just resigned as Shelbourne manager in the Irish League, probably the most unlikely candidate considering the league he's been managing but he may get linked like everyone else.
