Ok forgot about the long delay for approval, although I disagree with them, that we need to be stable EPL first, doing it in the championship season would have reduced the pain for the inevitable reduced income during the build. I think whatever helps us the most with finances should be the priority, which if its the hotel and arena, then yeah do them first.

They wont, too much self interest. FFP doesnt just help the big 6, but it kind of helps the entire status quo, so established EPL clubs have locked in advantage over newly promoted clubs, and relegated clubs have locked in advantage against clubs without parachute payments. This is why we need an independent regulator, as when you let the clubs make the rules you end up with the nonsense rules we have now.
-
EPL are going to do a mid season review like the EFL attempted, but its another flawed rule, as players can be sold after end of the season. The sport really needs an independent regulator, what we are witnessing is the result of a mess when clubs themselves design the rules, of course most clubs will be self interests as priority. In my mind a independent regulator would never make a spending limit based on revenue as it is unsporting, they also wouldnt be doing things based on emotions but instead on legal reality. UEFA also are renaming their rules, as they have realised it is nothing to do with fair play. Most other sports that have spending restrictions apply the same rules to every competitor. As an example in F1, the richest teams had to make huge cuts, as they were not based on revenue.

The logic seems to be if you charged you not cheating. If you comply with the rules as they are written you are cheating. On top of that, the FFP itself is just weird, a proper financial regulation would be the same squad spending limit for every team competing in a division, not a higher limit for fashionable clubs and lower limit for others, here is a image I quickly created explaining how FFP works. Then every passing year, the winner gets to start a bit more further forward.

They dont even need to be that young, I would say a mix of 18-21, mid 20s and experience is fine, but with a emphasis on finding unknown gems for the younger players, not established players that will inevitably cost more money and have more competition to sign. Probably 40% mid 20s, 40% youth, 20% experience. We need scouts all over the world to help achieve this.

Back to being labelled as cheaters, but people are emotional failing to understanding FFP in itself is unsporting and most definitely not fair play, and in addition we have not been successfully charged, so factually those clubs who have been charged are the ones who would perhaps get that label. Fair play to getting the charges dropped.

Palace vs Leicester - Pre match thread (14th September 3pm)
Chrysalis replied to FoxinNotts's topic in Leicester City Forum
Probably our first game against a team who is beatable, but it is away so be realistic people. -
I think in September and we will get 2 wins on the bounce.
-
Dont take the job Fuchs, fans singing "we going down", "we lost the ball" and hounding you out after 2 games, its not worth it.
-
This post probably explains the logic of the posts really, we would look mental because it would be. I remember predicting a couple of weeks back, the forum would blame Cooper for the downfall of the club, however I never expected people to be calling for his head after 2 games, the fan base has lost it. It seems it isnt just Top thats delusional but a bunch of supporters as well. What are people expecting?
-
Players did argue on the pitch last season and multiple times, people see what they want to see when they have made their minds up.
-
Rodgers, had a poor run that lasted over a season, its very different to two games. You proposing we become Watford? Also have you explained yet why you blame Cooper for the football clubs recruitment and planning problems?
-
I think you made your mind up the moment he signed, there is no way you have rationally come to this conclusion after 2 games. I cant think of any other occasion in our history where so many people have been so desperate to get a manager out after two games, its either tippy tappy football love in, or some weird anti forest thing. Enzo football would be getting us nowhere, you need to let it go. Also you speak of him as some kind of mastermind, the squad needed to have their own meeting to get us over the line last season. The majority of games we wasnt dominant, and was quite lucky in a lot of games. As to all the recruitment stuff, why are you blaming this on cooper? If anything it should be giving the manager sympathy with the conditions he is working under but instead you are blaming him for the clubs internal problems. We dont need one stubborn football ideology, we need pragmatism.
-
I am sure there is better managers, but would have they joined under the current Top and Rudkin regime? Not sure.
-
You think 2 games is enough time to get a well oiled pattern of play? As I said pre season irrelevant.
-
Too late for what? 2 games there is no pattern established, pre season is irrelevant. But if you looking for patterns in only 2 games. Everton 0 scored 7 conceded Ipswich 1 scored 6 conceded Palace 1 scored 4 conceded Wolves and Southampton both no goals scored. Us 2 goals scored 3 conceded.
-
Wouldnt surprise me if we dont have a single member of staff covering that region.
-
If we like this in 10-15 or so games time I might join in, but its just way too soon for me sorry.
