  1. Its going to take some years for the fans to adjust I think, I get the impression they think our ownership and squad, structure etc, is still top tier, and they will blame managers for a while, last season masked issues because of the sheer differential in our squad vs most of the rest of the championship.
  2. I do wonder how many years it will take to click with the majority of the fan base where the problems really lie.
  3. Not only that, it wasnt particularly good either, negative football most games, we got the points we got primarily due to the fact we had a squad built with EPL money, a squad that was the most expensive to ever get relegated, and even then Enzo only got over the line after a Vardy led meeting. As you said the gulf is huge now, the established EPL clubs are way better than they were a decade ago, we were in that established set of clubs until the ownership messed it up.
  4. Except he hasnt, the DoF was not capable of getting the squad in place before the first pre season game and we also still had players not back at that point, plus pre season cannot be compared to competitive games. I cant think of many occasions if any at all when I have heard fans say pre season is enough time for a manager to make his mark. I can only rationalise it in a way that the people who are saying thats long enough are people who decided he is to fail the moment he took the job. Also I think if I heard right our own fans were singing a negative song in game 2 of the season.
  5. Dont think I can argue with you on the team not being fluid, but I do think we need to get top ball out of the system, its difficult to get right and the team as a whole I think isnt capable of it. I also definitely think there needs to be more time to see what the current management can do, I am usually one of the more impatient fans, and even I think the people deciding its not going to work this early is daft. He hasnt even got his complete squad yet due to the poor transfer window. I have no doubt he is being pressured to play top ball. Like all of our recent managers have been.
  6. Who unlocked that cooper out thread, FT back to blaming individual players and now not even giving a manager 2 games. Why has Cooper been given much less time than all our other recent managers and whilst he has probably had the worst squad since early Pearson.
  7. I have waited a while for everything to calm down. For me there was too much top ball. Was hoping it would have been the end of it under cooper but looks like its going to continue this season, maybe not every game at least I suppose. But I see already some are back to blaming individual players. Thinking its individual errors that lose games instead of a team and tactical performance.
  8. Doesnt look accurate to me, some players are too low, and Vardy wont be on 140k week now.
  9. I know the FT peeps are pretty supportive of Seagrave, not recognising the issues of pampering players, isolating them from the world, the city, so I am not going to go against the wind, but will leave it at a experienced player stating the problems means more than outside observers thinking something fancy and expensive can only mean good things.
  10. The distance is a barrier to the public. How many buses go to the ground, and how easy is to walk there for city residents?
  11. Isnt the best way to prevent that complacency by making the place not nice? The location is daft as well, LCFC is a football club representing the city, the training ground should be in the city, preferably in a residential area, not in the middle of nowhere fenced off from the world.
  12. Came here to post the article, but I see its here already, yeah I find his comments very interesting as I speculated Seagrave was a problem and now we have a player who was here pre Seagrave, and during it say what I was thinking.
  13. Would have 8 million covered the bill?
  14. Esteban probably the only one in the same age range when signed, but he had a really good history.
  15. It wouldnt surprise me if Top's entire football circle of people is really just Rudkin (and temporarily our employed manager).
  16. Not only that given our struggles on recruitment, I dont think we will be in a rush if results are going badly. As its a nightmare for Rudkin.
  17. We should have signed their DoF instead of the striker.
  18. Seems to suggest to me Rudkin and co rate Daka, and Ayew is temporary until Daka is fit again, I honestly dont think we signing another striker.
  19. 8 million on ayew. Palace fans celebrating the deal unsurprisingly. It feels like a few years back when we made some panicky type signings to cover injuries, seems to suggest to me Rudkin and co rate Daka, and Ayew is temporary until Daka is fit again, I honestly dont think we signing another striker.
  20. Watched pre match and post match videos, great job. Love your content and your analysis posts.
  21. He was shown at the start of the game, 2 seats away from Whelan.
  22. Interesting the club considers 4 years as a long term contract.
  23. Cooper seems to have been told at least 2 more players and something is close, of course we know our club likes to string managers along so I am not confident.
  24. I meant it be Rudkin not Cooper. Rudkin only seems capable of shifting our best players. Paying for Ayew out of Ricky's wages though yeah would be daft. I am not even convinced he has that high wages as he renewed during a very unstable injury period.
