How come so many people have forgotten about the 22 minutes in the first half we were defending and had no shots? Almost everyone seems to think we dominated for first 70 minutes.

We played much better then I thought we would, but lets be real it wasnt total dominance. I think luck has gave us a good roll, we were lucky earlier in the season, and we have done alright in previous years like winning the FA cup and EPL title. Personally I dont think luck lost us the game, we shat the bed at end and did a mistake hooking Mavididi, it is what it is.

His shooting is wild, but I suppose I keep forgetting how young he is. For a 19 year old he is decent. He also has had quite a few assists this season.

I think we getting 20-25 points. So probably looking at about 98-103 points finish now. Most seasons thats fine, but this isnt most seasons.

He made a great saving tackle in first half as well.

Season wide has been one of our better players in my opinion. Great signing. For sure better than Fatawu although not to say Fatawu hasnt been ok. Was even our top scorer for a while.

We basically held our own up until mavididi got hooked, and had attacking spells here and there which was fine considering our opponents, but we were not attacking for 70 minutes, I honestly dont know what you was watching.

Look at what Leeds did once they were in front and near the end of the game, they carried on attacking. When we are leading games by a single goal we start to become frigid towards the end of the game, and that leeds to chances that can cause those deflections. In short the deflection doesnt happen if they not shooting in the first place.

Stinker seems harsh, his game was pretty good aside from the miss.

Were the subs better then?

Yeah Mcateer is better on the right side and been in horrid form of late, and the game before was Cannon out of position. Albrighton would have been on the wrong side but do agree it would have been a better choice. Ultimately though I would have kept him on.

I honestly feel I cannot call it, we have a 6 point gap and have both games against ipswich and leeds out of the way, still one game left against saints. We are still pretty reliable against bottom half teams so we would should be good for at least a circa 1.5-2PPG at absolute worst, but momentum is important, and this team I feel has a soft belly for closing games out, and we also still have issues finishing chances. Enzo I am also feeling is starting to become a bit robotic, he keeps hooking Mavididi as if its a pre planned thing he cant deviate from but we keep conceding after he does it so it doesnt work.

If we had a decent sub to come on and replace him I perhaps wouldnt be so bothered, but we always regress when he comes off so the subs arent working.

You dont hook a player for missing a chance, that becomes an emotional sub. It keeps happening, we hook him and then we concede.

Combination of lacking quality and composure, and another weird hook of Mavididi. I dont think we were in control of 3/4 of the game though that is being extremely generous, but were playing ok up until the odd sub and the usual defensive collapse.

Great outlet, great defensive work in winning ball back. But gets hooked, and we usually concede not long after, but Enzo keeps doing it again and again, whats the thought process?

I only checked his post, not everything he was replying to. So dont know if he himself misinterpreted an earlier part of discussion. I think his point is valid on stats can be misleading, I did watch the game live, I felt first half they had us under control, and had a game plan they executed well. Second half they were happy to sit back and we tried to recover the game, but we couldnt overcome them to get the two goals needed. We did have a few good chances, I think maybe 3 that I remember, but it took a while for them to come, a lot of it was struggling to penetrate their defences.

Yeah short memories, crazy how many of our fans keep looking at possession as some kind of god metric, its a stat easy to pad without being threatening.

I remember one game they both started, they have been playing together multiple times when Coady has come on as a sub.
