I had something similar from George Eliot accusing me of depriving some individual of an appointment as I didn't attend. The email said I wouldn't be able to see a consultant in future without a referral from my GP, who would also be informed of my failure to attend. I emailed back pointing out that I had actually cancelled my appointment as I felt it no longer necessary. I've heard nothing back.

Went to The Bradgate in Newtown Linford. Excellent pizza. The main menu looks good, too. It's a shame it's an Everards pub as there were no independent draught ales available and I'm not really a fan of Tiger.

Me: Stay in bed until about 10:30 Get up, make a brew, check on FT. Have a shower, make a brew, check on FT. Mmm OK no notifications about anything I've posted. Do a bit of tidying up, check on FT. Transfer thread's a bit dull, lets check out General Chat. Oh someone did well on Wordle. I'll wait till tea-time to have a go. Sit in the chair for an while watching the mid-day news. Check on FT. Oh there's been a few posts in general chat... not much going on really, the usuals have posted... I could respond but I don't have much to add. Idle about until I go to the shops at 5pm. Come home, check on FT. Reply or add my own comments or views on topics that I feel something about. Potentially getting likes for my contribution. Do Wordle and compare my results with @FoxesDeb @StanSP @LanguedocFox @Suzie the Fox @Flamey If we have a game I follow the match day thread and get frustrated by the negativity. Weekend, drink wine watch shit and go to bed. The life of a person with little going on in their life.

Levi Bellfield βconfesses to Russell murdersβ
Parafox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in General Chat
I don't think there is or ever will be a perfect way of dealing with "justice" where extreme criminal acts are involved. As a society, I think we rightly feel retribution should be dealt to those who do wrong, but on what level? Is cutting a thief's hand off the right way of preventing shoplifting? Is killing a killer the way to stop killing? Doesn't seem to have worked so far. And if society gets it wrong, an innocent person potentially loses their life. I think this has been a topic debated elsewhere in this forum. -
We've booked a weekend away at Burnham Thorpe on the East coast, due in 2 weeks. I was wondering if anyone has been there before. If so, what's it like?

Me too. If only because we have no death penalty. -

A statement issued by EMAS chief exec. Note the year the guidance was published, 2019: Message for the attention of colleagues and volunteers "Itβs likely you will have seen or heard the national media debate this week relating to guidance published at EMAS in 2019 on Andropause (sometimes referred to as the male menopause). Sensationalist and factually incorrect headlines have distracted from the purpose of the guidance, and today our Medical Director Dr Nicole Atkinson has spoken with BBC East Midlands to amplify this important message: We care about the health and wellbeing of our staff. The guidance, and all other health and wellbeing advice promoted at EMAS, is about encouraging our managers and staff to have conversations to identify things that may or may not be causing illness or injury, and then to identify from a range of options the type of support needed to mitigate or lessen the impact of symptoms (eg an occupational health referral, a change in lifestyle, and/or reasonable adjustments at work). This approach allows us to help keep more staff at work when appropriate, and to make sure we have a workforce ready and able to respond to patient need. For clarity, the facts that have been shared with media who are reporting incorrect details, include: EMAS adheres to the national NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions β there is no separate or special leave policy to allow staff to take 12-months sick leave on full pay. NHS sickness terms and conditions should not be linked to the Andropause guidance document, the two are independent and not to be conflated. The length of time an individual has away from work for any illness or injury is determined through consultation with a doctor/healthcare professional involved in their treatment and care (EMAS canβt sign people off sick). A Statement of Fitness for Work is required if a staff member is to be away from work for more than seven-days). If time away from work is required (for example, due to a broken bone, back injury, or for cancer treatment), the NHS sick pay entitlement is determined by factors including length of service. We are proud of the culture we are developing at EMAS and remain grateful to the staff and volunteers who continue to share their experiences and feedback to help shape what we do and how we do it. We know that our approach is starting to have an impact β turnover rates are reducing, sickness is reducing (we recognise we still have work to do, hence our understanding sickness project); and, weβre attracting more new, additional people - weβve already had over 1,300 applications this year for frontline roles at EMAS. More staff at work means we can improve how we support and care for our workforce and our patients, and that is why it is not βwokeβ or wrong to have staff health and wellbeing as a priority". Richard Henderson Chief Executive

This is the thing with this. Unless you are well travelled or have a degree in geography, or you are @leicsmacit's hard. I would just about be able to manage a bit of South America or mainland and eastern Europe, but that's about the limit of my geographical knowledge.

How long have you been a member of FT to call this a weird topic Like so many others, I was just putting my thoughts out there.
-
Thank you for your reasoned response rather than that of other's @ARM1968 for example.
-
Offensive. I'm not a moron. That kind of insult is reserved for .. well... you Explain the irony in your post, then.
-
Because it's a possibility. I'm thoroughly invested in Maresca and the team and how we're playing but just look at the league we're in and the gulf in class. Would it transfer to the PL? Hope so.
-
I never said anything about winning the PL again. Read my post properly.
-
Am I? Based on what? I'm sure there's plenty of supporters who feel similarly.
-
Just a thought that has been nagging at me in the last couple of weeks and the way we have started and are continuing to get results. Are we going to be a great team in the championship only to become a poor team in the Premier League? As someone said in the the match thread, we seem to fit somewhere between the two. I hope we're not going to be that yo-yo team once again.

And should have been binned long before he was

The more I watch us now the more i am convinced Rodgers deliberately sabotaged us out of sheer malice
