Or just nastiness without any comprehension of consequences. In other words, they don't give a fvck about anything or anyone outside of their own. They are a law unto, and within, themselves. Even the police leave them to get on with it.

People "of the cloth" can still be greedy and self serving. They can also be abusers of children. They can be alcoholics, and fraudsters. And more. Let's face it, Vennels would never have given her honour back if this series had never been aired. The vast majority though, are God and community serving, generous, humble, kind, welcoming people.

Kind of happened to me a few years ago but in reverse: Mixture of dogshit and red fence paint plastered over my response car. Maybe they took offence to the registration letters.

I've been in McDonalds car park before now and watched a car full of teenage girls (all wearing Lipsy leisure wear and fake tan, driving a new 4x4) finish their meals and then chuck all the containers and wrappers out of the windows. There's bins all around the car park. And it's not just litter. I once attended a driver with chest pains on the A46 by-pass who had pulled into a lay-by. When I arrived Highways agency were already there. I got out and started to walk around to the passenger side of the car to see to the patient and the HA guy said "watch were you walk, there's likely to be sh1t on the grass". I said, naively, "people let their dogs sh1t by the roadside"? "No", he said. "It's truck driver sh1t".

If you check the gantries as you approach, the speed cameras are always painted bright yellow. Not every gantry has a camera which is part of the reason why average speed cameras are becoming more common as you can't break the speed limit in between cameras like you can with gantry mounted ones.

Mark Knopfler goes under the radar quite a bit but his song writing, music arrangements and guitar playing is something ethereal IMO. This is one of his best.

When I first qualified for A&E ambulance work my colleague and I took a patient into the department on a the stretcher. We then decided to go for a brew in the hospital café so we left the stretcher in the corridor and off we went. It wasn't until we got to our next call that we realised we had left the stretcher back at A&E. Fortunately the patient was able to walk on and sit in the one seat in the back of the ambulance. When we opened the doors to let him on, he remarked, "ooh there's a lot of room in here".

Inspired by my own stupidity this evening. I put the oven on at 200 deg to cook a steak pie. I didn't have my specs on and it wasn't until the smoke alarms went off that I realised I'd put the grill on instead of the oven. Hence one very burnt, almost alight pie crust, and dinner in the bin.

And therein lies the problem. The average driver just wants to get from A to B and has no concept of risk taking or the consequences of such foolhardiness. This also applies to bell ends speeding and weaving across lanes on the motorway or jumping red lights or any number of risky manoeuvres. Serves them right IMO.
