Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21
teblin replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
If the club/Ruud wanted to get the fan back on side a bit more, some of these lads would be in the match day squads. It doesn't have to be starting, just in and around. -
The dog thing, for me is a non story. He had permission, a complete non story. The other stuff on the other hand, we need to get rid of all the staff bar king, and start again.

That many? -
I’m not saying we should, just could see it happening as soon as he was “promoted”. The club have made some strange decisions recently.
-
You'd hope not. But I am not surprised by anything at the moment. On that logic, I'd say there is a fair change Andy King will be Caretaker until the end of the season.
-
You seem very clear on that, hope you are right but just a feeling I have. Had the same feeling that we’d appoint Claude too.
-
I think it’ll be Martin. No inside info. Other than whispers around him when Brendan was struggling in 2023.
-
Russell Martin?

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official

I believe he as training with us this week. -
Question around Dyche, I know his record at Everton was pretty pants (still managed to stay up over us in 2023). Everton are a bit of a strange club. However, does he have the potential to be a Nigel type? So build infrastructure again at the club, get right people in the right roles? Or is it just dreadful football and the inevitable sack?

Just for context on Lennon (and guessing this is a joke). He said on talksprt earlier on in the season that our goalkeeper wasn't good enough when Mads was in incredible form.

Watching us is like having a Tesco Meal deal and buying a bottle of water, ham no mayo or mustard and ready salted crisps.

It’s must be financial, as I don’t see how he can keep his job otherwise. -

Both terrible, only the Ruud has over him is he hasn’t signed loads of dross. -
That’s on bounotte, terrible clearance.

West Ham United away, AKA eat, sleep, Decordova-Reid repeat.

In crap seasons there is always a couple of teams we get results against. Maybe spurs and West Ham our the ones this year? Probably no chance. It’s the hope that kills you. -
Great Pod @Ric Flair I was screaming Richard Smith at the top of my voice Keep it going its a great listen!

No he hasn’t, he was on the bench until November. Got injured at Ipswich. 2 games before cooper left. Fatawu Was fit most of the time Cooper was here too. Sure it was during international break before chelsea game he got injured. -

I also don't buy the forest thing. For me it was nothing to do with Forest why I didn't want him/warm to him. Cooper made 2 big mistakes(other as well) in his time here and if he didn't make them he might still be here. 1. Not playing Ricardo 2. No playing/Persisting with Fatawu More so the Ricardo point, JJ was in poor form, last season Ricardo alongside KDH was probably our best players. I also don't think Ruud is great either, but was willing to give him a chance at the time. Its all a bit if a mess. -

An article that pretty much doesn’t say anything. But thought I’d share anyway. https://www.footballinsider247.com/van-nistelrooy-immediate-leicester-city-sack-update/ -
It wouldn’t have been the same with Nigel. I loved Nigel, did so much for the club. But claudio in that season was brilliant, the way he handled the press, the little tweak to the side after the arsenal defeat at home. Not sure we still win it with Nigel, we’ll never know. Plus the day with bocelli singing at the KP wouldn’t have happened

The Big thing with the great escape season, We changes formation for those last 12/13 games and we had the majority of the team that won the league in place. We had 1 more point after 26 games that year. We need to change what we do, we haven't got great wingers fit. We have fairly mobile Full backs in JJ, Woyo, Victor to a lesser extent. Lets go 3-5-2 or 3 4 2 1 change something up. Though I just can't see Ruud doing it. -
Is there anyone else in the Pep club from Man city that we could go for that may have worked with Murphy? Other than Enzo.
