  1. 100+ flying in from Spain to watch Harborough on Saturday. Apparently the club have a sister club/links with a side from there.
  2. He’s too arrogant to do that. I’m amazed he gets picked for Belgium. Awful professional.
  3. They need to boost their GD. No chance they ease off.
  4. Some at the club think another season in this division wouldn't be a bad thing. l was also told promotion would mean another chunk of money spent on a facility upgrade, probably more on wages & new players. The club can probably afford it, but l understand the ramifications. Personally l would just go for it & take whatever comes !
  5. Harborough’s remaining 4 games are far easier on paper than those above……most of them play each other. I fully expect HT to make the play-offs. They’ve only lost once since Boxing Day, so will be tough to beat & have an excellent record against the ‘better’ sides. We will see.
  6. Not tonight. We were away at Saints
  7. A relative going back generations was a highwayman. He operated around the Wigston/Leicester area. He was hung eventually in the 1800's........would have been an interesting few questions ! Anyway, George Davenport was his name.
  8. Thanks for that. I imagine it'll be a combination of Colombo, Galle & Kandy. No Test cricket (unfortunately), T20 & ODI's only (which the Mrs will tolerate!)
  9. I'm hoping to there early 2026, to watch England play cricket. No dates or venues yet, but something to look forward to. Love a bit of winter sunshine !
  10. Harborough 1 up at Bromsgrove. HT.
  11. It's going to be a while before we see that again unfortunately.
  12. Agree with that. Kettering have a decent run of games now. Harborough would probably need to win their last 7 to be champions, but they're on a great run currently, but still need to go to Bedford & host Halesowen next Saturday. So tight at the top.
  13. Harborough 1 up at Bishop Stortford.
  14. Got to love all the England negativity as per. At least give him 6 months.
  15. Many aren't happy with the way the Club is being steered. This runs far deeper than the playing side of things. The people/person at the top seem oblivious to our plight & seem happy to let us sleepwalk towards oblivion. When you look at what we've achieved in the past 9 years, this is unforgivable. A very large number have had enough. A change is needed. Obviously, that is my opinion & l also respect yours.
  16. What about a question mark after it.....as in 'Premier Ambitions ? Amateur Decisions'.
  17. Whose dog is called Mumbles ?
  18. Totally agree. I spent a few years at HT as a kids coach (not anymore !). l watch them when l can, still know a few of the hierarchy. It's an amazing story. No longer in debt, paying decent money, have a great facility & are superbly run.
  19. Harborough have had some great results against the 'better' sides, but have occasionally struggled beating the struggling ones. Hopefully it doesn't cost them.
  20. Went to Newlands for a Test in '94, from memory. Sat on a grass bank facing table mountain. Shame the view is slightly spoilt by the Castle Brewery ! Still, a great ground & place to visit.
  21. I've never been so disinterested in our games coming up & season as a whole. My disconnect & apathy towards the club is strange. It isn't just the player's, it's everything connected. Is it possibly because I've witnessed us winning the title, a Champions League campaign & FA Cup success that I'm so dismissive ? However, on the other hand we shouldn't be what we've become, because of recent success. The lack of accountability is worryingly stark.
  22. …….l thought this was another cricket thread. Oh well.
  23. I fail to see what Livingstone adds to England's batting. Dreadful shot. Been poor for a while now.
  24. England play pretty much the same way, It’s just a T20 approach. Test matches, 50 overs……..wash & repeat. I know McCullum likes this, but Root seems to the only batsmen able to read a match situation & play accordingly. I’m finding a bit repetitive & a bit brainless now.
  25. That's a very good point. Unfortunately not many managers do this, purely because of their potential pay-off. Cash is king.
