Bazball has only really been successful on very flat tracks & against sides other than India & Australia. Having no plan B has proven to be an arrogant choice in general.

I don't think the Aussies have needed much of a plan for any of our batters. They've just stuck to the basics of a decent line & length. They've also realised England have little patience & big egos.

It's only because of the huge army of English fans that it is still 5 Tests. England, India & Australia, sell out whenever playing each other, home or away. They are the cash cows.

As soon as Swann said England will score 600 & win, l knew we were done for. This arrogance that we have is like poison. The opposition love it. They feed off it.

Winning Test series abroad is difficult. However, when England lose, it’s a capitulation. We rarely lose a close series in India or Australia, we get hammered. We can’t seem to cope on pitches that have a bit of pace/bounce (Australia), or Indian tracks that turn. Our record in the Caribbean isn’t great either & they aren’t a good side at all !

Going to watch Harborough. A free hit, nothing to lose. In fact they have 3 or 4 games in hand in the league, so a loss could be a blessing, l hate to admit.

Nobody knows how he'll perform. But if he has any form of leadership skills, go for it. We have nobody currently able to undertake this.

Great points there. I think it’s definitely a mentality problem. They have an abundance of talent. Brook is a prime example. Tons of talent, but has let his ego take over. We keep hearing, ‘He’s number 2 in the world, has an average of 50' etc. But that will soon change if he carries on with the, 'That’s the way l play' attitude. l keep banging on about it, but our reading of a match situation is shockingly bad.

Aggers has written a very good article via BBC. Pretty much saying it was never sustainable & is easy to counter. It’s had its day basically.

Most of them are on easy street, they all play like they're in the team for the long haul. Maybe these big bucks central contracts aren't helping anymore. John Rudkin has to be involved
