  1. No. It just magnifies what an absolute mess we have made of things. Horrifically bad lt really is on a biblical level. Personally & probably bizarrely, l lost some interest, as we really had peaked when winning the Prem. Can’t explain why. I never ever saw this level of drop off on the horizon though (bar the FA Cup win).
  2. Definitely. l saw Cremonese v Parma in September. Unfortunately he was injured (l was in Italy at the time, so didn’t go specifically to see him). Had the best time. Wore a City shirt with Vardy on the back, met so many nice people, they love him. Had a few beers by the ground, was given a couple of scarves etc. Will definitely be going back & urge others to do the same. You’ll not be disappointed.
  3. I’ve been wondering how they would react with a Fergy, Roy Keane, Brian Clough type of character scrutinising them, or telling a few home truths.
  4. The chances of him selling in the Championship are remote, the chances of selling in League 1, in my opinion, are non existent. The hit would probably be too much.
  5. Of course not. Lots of us are fed up & some for a long time. The way that the club is run is terrible, but relegation isn’t the answer. Top/King Power are going nowhere if we’re in League 1.
  6. DKE managed to get himself sent off today for Harborough today. They finished with 9 men ! Drew 1-1 at Barwell. He’s been doing very well, especially recently.
  7. I reckon we have a few unfit players. Combine that with some that don't want to be here & the others on their long, overpaid contracts (although some have completed all of the above !), it's no surprise we're in an almighty mess.
  8. Josh Tongue to replace him is being touted.
  9. It's probably because people want to vent their frustration somewhere, rather than kicking the cat. Most, like myself, are astonished & embarrassed at where we find ourselves, plus the speed at which we've arrived here. The incompetence is almost biblical.
  10. Australia go with same squad for 2nd Test. No Cummins or Hazlewood again. We just need Starc to to tread on a ball or something & England may take it into day 3 or 4.
  11. ……If this ends up being a 4-0/5-0 drubbing (definitely possible), the whole set up will be rightly ridiculed & most likely overhauled. From no meaningful warm up games, lack of match preparation, to match tactics. Shambolic. Obviously l want us to compete & win, but l just think we’re too blinkered & arrogant to play the required match situation, or stay patient long enough to succeed.
  12. 12 hours ? I know it’s a big country, but that can’t be right.
  13. Having spent time in SA, I’m pleased they aren’t good a football too. They, in the main, as fans would be unbearable !
  14. Agnew has written a very good piece on the BBC. Definitely worth a read. l keep banging on about it, Bazball is great, but Bazball with brains would be incredible ! Instead we get an arrogant approach against top bowling units & keep throwing games away. The current way will rarely work against good sides. Crawley infuriates many England followers, but Brook is a massive concern. He has talent in abundance, unfortunately his arrogant, dismissive approach is letting him down. The mantra of most, ‘But that’s the way l/we play’, is a lame excuse & must now annoy those that spend hard earned cash to watch their heroes give up winning positions so frivolously.
  15. England's batsmen (who played at Perth) won't be playing in a warm up game. It's also with a pink ball, which is being used for the 2nd Test in Brisbane. Is this just more arrogance, or is a 2 day game really worth it ? Surely, they need to play in this, IMO. They have 11 days until the 2nd Test.......that's a lot of golf.
  16. I'm sure they weren't so reckless fairly recently, can't recall which Series. It was commented upon. Stokes mentioned that they'd tweaked 'Bazzball' slightly. They need to get try it again. The current approach will never work against good bowling attacks.
  17. Spot on. Although if you're in the top 4 of most sides, from club cricket to International elite, 3 & 4 could be in very early. They're padded up ready for a reason. Crawley plays with a carefree style, which is infuriating. Brook is going the same way, talent in abundance, but his arrogance is catching up.
  18. Bazball is great. Bazball with brains would be incredible.
  19. Both of England's innings combined lasted less than 70 overs. We don't often read a game situation. Bazball will rarely work on wickets that do a bit, plus these huge Oz outfields make it even more risky. And like you say, you can't play booming drives when it's nipping about
  20. Definitely. Lose this & the confidence will probably ebb away. Rumours are that Hazlewood may miss the 2nd Test, but this Series could get messy once again. This game was England's to win. I just can't see us scoring enough runs going forward.
  21. Brook is a concern for me. He has become very dismissive of any bowling & dances down the track too often, T20 style. No doubt he has talent in abundance, he just needs to reign it in a bit.
  22. At least the Aussies now need the highest score of the game to win it. It's now a question of will they be as poor & can England replicate their bowling effort.
  23. He shouldn't have walked. He pretty much gives himself up. You don't walk if you aren't out.
  24. Lose this & l really can see a 5-0 incoming. Any confidence will just melt away.
  25. ......Can we bat for longer than the 1st dig, 32.5 overs ? 50/50. I know it's a bouncy track, but we look like rabbits caught in headlights.
