He's such a great player of spin. I'm out in SL now. Watching him live, he makes it look so easy. Never flustered, rotates the strike at will, hits the gaps. He does the basics better than anyone. Bethell looks like he's learning from him, hopefully more do the same. -
Congratulations, that's fantastic ! Well done. At least your boss was honest with you, but it must've been a difficult couple of weeks. Onwards & upwards.

How did your meeting go ? I really hope it went well & had a positive outcome.

Moving the deckchairs on the Titanic. We'll be in a similar position in a year or so. Rotten.

It's a 2 horse race between Spalding & Harborough. Spalding are relentless though, scoring for fun. Harborough are 2nd, with 3 games in hand, 6pts to bridge the gap.

That's the one. 👍

Sri Lanka on Monday for a bit of cricket, Colombo & Kandy, 16 nights. Don't think I've mentioned it on here yet

The other half has been 5 times, so must be worth a look. Having said that, it was still Yugoslavia ! Don’t shoot the messenger !

Is it possible to speak to your line manager ? They have a responsibility regarding such problems. Especially knowing your recent past too.

I'd say that Harry Brooke believes in his own hype. He needs a reset, lose the ego. Bethel will, hopefully, kick on now......bet he can't wait for the summer. -
It's not everyone's favourite, but l absolutely loved Naples. A bit edgy (l felt very safe though), football mad & not far from Pompei. Verona is also great. Not a big city, absolutely stunning views & not too busy.

I suppose as so much franchise/T20 & cricket in general is played all year round, they know each other fairly well & formed friendships etc. Most of the aggro was directed towards Snicko, from both sides !

At least 4-1 means there's no papering over the cracks ! Every 4 years we get lured into thinking 'we've got a great chance of beating the Aussies on their own patch'. It's a tough place to tour but we are so poor Down Under, we rarely even compete. Something has to change next time.

The batting smacks of arrogance, has done for some time now. Bazball was never sustainable, fun while it lasted though. Time to park it. I've said it before, Root plays in a positive way, builds an innings, reads a match situation. Surely that's the blueprint for the rest.

There's a very good article on BBC Sport regarding England's bowling weaknesses, the why's & why nots etc. We are obviously not doing the basics, or learning from previous mistakes.

Off to Sri Lanka in January. Colombo & Kandy, to see England's cricket tour. 3 x T20s & 3 x ODIs. Plenty of spare time to get about too. Love a bit of winter sunshine. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

If you feel the antidepressants aren't working, it would be worth speaking to your Doctor. Hopefully he will find a different medication. Blocking yourself from any gambling sites may help. My son's friend did this. It does sound like you're in a bit of a rut. Speaking to someone is a way forward. I must stress, I'm in no way qualified to advise, so am being as diplomatic as possible. However, my brother has had his struggles for many years, so l can empathise.

I had a bit of basic advice from my partner. She is a Hypnotherapist. The 3 P's. 1. A positive thought. 2 A positive action. 3 A positive interaction. If you can try this on a daily basis, it may help. Something like a nice chat with a family member/friend. Going for a nice walk. The positive thought can be difficult when at a low ebb, but anything is a start......the weather, a nice memory, There's plenty of understanding people on here to help. Take care my friend.

Surely any Manager with a bit of self respect wouldn't come to this basket case. Word must have got around by now that we're a circus. On the flip side, we would probably offer a ridiculous amount of money, even though we probably can't afford it.

LCFC 1-2 Watford, post match thread

I binned this off a couple of years ago now. I've invested physically & emotionally over many decades. The cost is of which is beyond comprehension. Obviously, it's a personal choice, but l get far more enjoyment, satisfaction & an actual connection by watching local non league stuff. Give it a go..... at least until there's a complete overhaul at this joke of a club. -
I've had a couple of homemade Sloe Gins. Started prepping it in October. Mixed with fizzy wine, it's bloody gorgeous, kicks like a mule. Definitely recommend it. I'm certain most of our squad drink it pre match & at HT.

This is possibly the most important topic on Foxestalk. I really do feel for anyone struggling, especially at this time of the year. My brother has been suffering for nearly 40 years. He has taken another downward spiral recently, following our mother's passing at Easter. They were very close. He was sectioned 8 weeks ago (not for the first time). I visited him today. It's so difficult seeing my brother & other people going through this trauma. Many are on high doses of medication & show erratic traits in behaviour. All very sad, but understandable. I spoke to a few nurses & always chat to a nurse about my brother when l phone. They do such an amazing job, always see the positive side & are very honest. Wonderful people. I just hope that anyone suffering really does get over this dreadful illness. God bless.

Definitely, the optics really are not good. Some England followers would've spent big bucks (l know a couple of lads out there now). Be interesting to know what some of them think.
