backing off when the player was out wide has to be some of the worst defending i’ve ever seen. he invited him into the box with a kiss. Id be mad if i saw an under 10s player defending that passively. After the goal midweek you’d think enzo would have been into them, to get closer the man. hope he doesn’t start again this season tbqh

I can’t believe how wrong i was about him. He has no composure at all. That was competition winner standard stuff. Play cannon with nacho in behind and we’d be cooking imo
-
could we not get him as well? walsh can stop dossing about in the states . get the band back together
-
might as well just say he doesn’t rate him. If the others were bagging consistently you wouldn’t argue it but Patson has been dreadful since the Afcon and i don’t remember the last time Kel effected a game positively
-
it’s not an ideal situation for him, especially since the PSR breach reveal… and not because of the punishments involved. It’s more because now everyone is pointing at the fact that we’ve spent so much money and that we’ve cheated to get this squad. It leads to an implication that if he wins the league.. so what, he should have with that expensive team that they’ve cheated for. If he slips up, then everyone basically assumes he’s a Lampard. The snub for the manager of the year awards would definitely eat at him. We could go up with over 100 points and he still probably wouldn’t get that many plaudits from even our own fans. Rightly or wrongly. There’s no guarantee other methods work better (even if i personally believe they would be). But it can’t be great knowing that nothing you can do will really prove yourself to anyone.

if rudkin gets made a godfather we are doomed…. and so are the twins

this annoys me. I made a post about this earlier… if enzo was a little less gung-ho the easy draws we could have taken would have got us over the line already. Every point counts and that’s something i don’t think enzo gets

we are a lucky bunch. But it does go to show that the nerves have kicked in for everyone.

a lot of you need to put money on an ipswich win. my word

I was actually thinking the opposite about enzo. He’s so focused on winning that we’re leaving the back door wide open. Yes you’ve got to try and win and yea often the goals are against the run of play but the theme on most of them is that we’ve left glaring holes for the opposition to attack in. Back when we had pearson as an example when we weren’t at it, which happens, we rarely lost games we shouldn’t. Because he made sure we always made sensible decisions at the back first. Yes it was a wonder strike but we were isolated to begin with and that invited him into that area… we also could have conceded on 3/4 other occasions. we lost that game rather than them winning it. They wouldnt have won if we’d focused on stopping them 🤷♂️ If we kept solid I really don’t think our attacks would be much weaker. we can do without faes trying to add to attacks, it just becomes negligent

there’s nothing wrong with enzoball. At times it’s exactly what you should be doing. But the way he has it in his head that you need to do it at all times is utterly bizarre. He’s been brainwashed by pep, but for pep he has the best tools so it’s going to work but the second it’s not effective pep would change. Enzo is reading off of someone else’s script and doesn’t appear to have any other ideas of his own

I feel a bit conned to be honest, i believed in enzo, I really did. But there’s just no plan B and there never will be under him. Even against Birmingham, his subs were all 20 minutes later than they should have been. He has too much patience and football sometimes has moments that don’t allow for that. You have to adapt and find different ways to be successful and he’s just not pragmatic enough.

complacency! We just didn’t look to try and shift gears. It felt like the players all just expected them to roll over. Little graft and what a waste of what we worked so hard to achieve. How is that the same players from norwich? i don’t get it
-
i’d imagine kdh is on the right as maresca was picturing yunis swinging in crosses and ndidi would be more likely to get on the end of one.
-
i still get nightmares over that palace game we rotated for and drew… beginning of our downfall
-
Depends if you think millwall away or plymouth is a harder game. You could always rest someone now just for them to do an acl in training anyway, i get the logic if theyre fit and healthy for today.

haven’t heard much about wormleighton this season, he was quite hyped last year -
good point given the leeds result…

1000 more years of forest talking about how they were the best team in europe, just before the old generation had died.

I think all this proves is that Brendan was laying the foundations at clubs for 25 years down the road

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Lambert09 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
yep and i’m sure that would be part of our defence. I think we have broken the rules whatever way you look at it, so the only thing we can fight is how it’s being governed inappropriately. Because of that, getting other sides to join us would probably be the best thing we could do. We might win individual fights about technicalities because of the league switch but Im pretty sure that just delays an inevitable punishment. I’d love for a group of clubs to really challenge this process though because everton in particular, highlight just how cockhanded this whole thing has been. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

no. it’s completely irrelevant. The only argument i feel we have, isn’t that we were entitled to spend more because we were doing well at the time… it would be that we had already entered into large contracts with players before the rules were enforced. if we can prove that our issues were created before the rules we would have a case but technically speaking these rules have existed for a very long time, they just weren’t enforced: -
Mads hamza coady vesty doyle winks praet kdh yunus cannon mavi keeps it fresh, easily strong enough, but if things aren’t working out by 55 you ring the changes. The risk of not performing quite as well isn’t as big as the risk of losing ricardo or wilf at this stage of the season. if we can get to plymouth with a win and some rested key players than we will be very well placed to win the league.
-
Hutchinson would be ideal but chelsea have history of fleecing prem clubs for loan deals. The numbers in the broja deal were more than most transfers.
-
when i’ve said that, that’s not in a malicious way. Demarai would get decent returns in the championship as well. It’s more that for me personally I don’t think he will get away with the lack of clinicalness in the prem. Neither would have lloyd dyer, doesn’t mean I didn’t love lloyd. Just think that he would struggle but i’d love to be proved wrong. For where we’re at, I don’t think we could do better
