All I need to do is stop watching games for rest of season.

it’s no coincidence that the monks came to the KP today and everything went our way! Can we not hire one of them as the set piece coach or something?!? -
6 Games Left! - We are top with a game in hand!
Lambert09 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Now that we are back top i’m just viewing southampton as a bonus game, which is very nice. Leeds have a pretty easy run now up until the last game and i’d guess southampton won’t be playing for much in that moment. I think ipswich’s run in is the worst of the bunch. if hull are within 6 points of playoffs and huds still in a relegation scrap, then they’ve really got to be very good to get through it. There won’t be easy games this season as the teams at the bottom will all be scrapping and that is basically the full bottom half. only teams likely to be on the beach early are rotherham, watford, sunderland, cardiff and bristol. A fair bit to play for for everyone else at this point. -
outrageous opinion. He will be worth at least 50 in a few seasons
-
agreed. vesty was sensational

what i hate about our philosophy, is that enzo basically gives everyone a free pass to screw up like this. Because it’s happened trying to play his way. It’s ridiculous. You don’t act that casual in your box, i’m not sure he even looked panicked when the ball hit him. It’s just pathetic. Faes doesn’t even look to see if someone is around, he was always going to roll the ball to mads no matter what. just where is the IQ. We’ve been close to things like that many times it’s not the fluke that it looks to people on the outside, we just play with fire.

I bet mavi wants to score to wind up the brum fans again. He enjoyed that one
-
I feel like this only works if we have been successful otherwise they just write it off as frustration for not getting promoted
-
It’s damn tricky for us to support the team on the field whilst showing our distain towards the board and how we’ve been managed. You just know they see this sort of thing and think they are off the hook as per

if he can finish from 2 yards… we’ll take him

26 year old player who pre injury got into the england side. Can play either side, or even centrally in a 3. Before injury was essential in a side sat in the top 4. Considering sheffield U signed luke thomas, i’m pretty sure a promoted side would be interested in JJ. My personal opinion, is that he is a better player than castagne… and timmy is doing just fine for fulham.

yeah it’s really disappointing. I’m definitely one of those that thought he just needed minutes and some confidence and he’d hit beast mode. But it does look like there’s a bit more to it than that.

what’s truly wild, is that our wage bill is 200m a year.. but the squad isn’t worth 200m if we sold everyone. That’s like negative equity on a house
-
but it’s very clear he has improved his game drastically. The fact he now has the ability to turn players so well actually reduces the one footed issue as he’s become a lot less predictable. Before it felt like he’d just tunnel vision bomb towards the left. I think he will continue to improve and anyone who gets him for 30m will be very happy with their purchase. He’s really under appreciated by our fans overall and I can’t quite work out why that is. I’d guess it’s because over the last 10 years we’ve been very lucky with the standard of players we’ve had at the club. If we’d had kdh 10 years ago he’d be an absolute cult hero and nobody would say anything negative about him.

newcastle and brighton both learning that european football makes it very hard to have just 16 quality players. The injuries hit you and then you over play the fit players until they get hurt… Without being able to bring in 25 quality high paid players you will eventually drop off

This thread is about as futile as one trying to take down a dictator. Stops not firing his best mates and he is certainly not selling any time soon.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Lambert09 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
you’ve been paying the cows 90k per week and in return they’ve been milking p*ss for you The farmer kept setting things on fire but the owner of the farm decided it would be worse to let him go. The farms owner decided to not buy anymore cows and hoped the farmer would stop setting things on fire The farmer started more fires, killed some of the cows and then demanded the owner of the farm bought him some pigs. The new pigs arrived and started producing milk but then some little pigs got bullied by cows. The pigs accepted that they should probably just milk p*ss as well. The owner finally realised the farmer wasn’t going to stop burning his crops so replaced him with builder. The builder did not know how to farm. The owner of the farm got annoyed that the people in the village moaned at him about all the smoke and p*ssy milk. The owner of the farm cried in the local paper then forgot about it and spent the next year taking engagement photos. -
Should There Be Play-offs in the Football League?
Lambert09 replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
the playoffs are the best thing about football. not sure why anyone would want them removed. The goal posts aren’t moving you need to push for second, simple as. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL
Lambert09 replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Sheffield U supposedly listing players for sale already in an attempt to sell as prem players. Hamer one on their list. If we go up id be very happy for us to go for him. He’s created a decent amount for them despite them being poorly managed and lacking quality. 7 goal contributions in such a bad team is actually an okay return. i’d have no doubts he could step up and shouldn’t cost too much given the way they’ve bowed out. They’d be hoping to get their money back you’d think. Surely we could muster 8m for him if we get 30 odd for kdh -
I think sometimes it’s hard to analyze because we are too close to the subject. We have our brilliant or awful lenses on, usually depending on our results. But with all the enzo out chat, it really does feel a unfair. I do get that he’s made big mistakes but he obviously has a certain way he wants to go about things and if that’s what he feels is right, then it’s his hill to die on. But one very noticeable thing for me, is that the other sides in this league have been outplayed and to enzos credit I could only genuinely give one game where we have comfortably been second best and that was against leeds at home and thats even debateable. I don’t watch ipswich and leeds every game but i’ve still seen a few where arguably they weren’t the best sides (both this weekend) Now don’t get me wrong, football is about results, win however you can. But i don’t see how anyone can look at us (even after bad losses) and say what enzo is doing is not working. because, the methods have always worked, the application can vary… that’s football, it would be very boring if it didn’t. We lose when players like kdh has a bad game, or we miss tap ins, but there’s not really been a game where we didn’t create the tap ins.(only really qpr where we didn’t carve huge opportunities)So there’s elements of luck and form that have effected us but overall you can still see what we are doing is working. If we play our best we would win every game. i’m not convinced leeds and ipswich would. It might be controversial but I do think overall southampton are actually a better side than the other 2. But similarly to us, if they have a bit of an off day they are less likely to grind out a result than the other 2. Who aren’t afraid to get dirty to win. It’s a fantastic race and i wish we had less on the line and could really enjoy it for what it is, 4 great teams slogging it out. But all i feel is stress and these last games aren’t about who’s the best team they will be about who has the mental fortitude to get over the line

am i the only one who thought he was okay yesterday. He seems to make the right moves it’s just the execution that’s off. The run for the doyle through ball was perfect but then his attempt to get the ball in the box was just a bit meh. There was a good break where he lays it back to kdh. The rolled ball to winks at the edge of the box. There were a lot of important things he did and I understand why enzo likes him but at the end of the day we need to be able to rely on him to finish the half chances that come. I see our strikers as this. vardy: Clinical and creates his own chances but his legs limit the amount of work he can do. Link up play generally poor. Cannon: Physical and clinical. Seems the most all round of all the strikers. Only striker likely to score from outside of the box. Really wants to score an overhead kick. A slight lack of pace and positionally not as good as the others. Daka: Links up well. fastest we’ve got. But he’s clumsy and snatches at chances too much. Has the ability to finish but the composure hasn’t been there. Nacho: Links up well, clinical but needs a second striker. Gets drawn out wide and deep and doesn’t get himself back in the right areas. It’s a good bunch but issues with all. Earlier in the season id be looking at this and saying persist with cannon. For the business end of the season, vardy is the only answer, but he can’t play every game so hopefully cannon gets a few opportunities. Problem is, his confidence is likely shot after being dropped for no real reason.

we didn’t though. Fans wanted him but Emeri was never accepting anything that wasn’t a big project with an open cheque book. He wanted his people in the club and the ability to grow the club to challenge. We were already in hot water with FFP, there’s no way he would have joined in our situation. He has a history of being picky with his projects, he turned down newcastle just the season before and that was with all their new cash.

coventry are going to have a big say in who goes up. Still have to play ipswich, leeds and southampton. Probably the next strongest team so that’s great for us.
-
He’s human, he won’t always be perfect but I absolutely adore the bloke.

next few games for the rivals look tricky. A. real chance to pull away again with some luck Ipswich have 1 easy game left, the rest are tough! Leeds will go up if they get through the next 3 with 6 points. southampton have it all in their own hands with the teams they face really but can’t afford to lose any of the big games tbh. The extra game could kill them and if they end up in the playoffs, that could take a toll. (8 games in april ) Our fixtures are the best of the lot by some distance
