A lot of people get these feelings at retirement but the huge difference is that this is happens when you are so young in sport. It’s such a daunting thought that your trade is over but you’re not even halfway through life. Not to mention that the highs of what it must feel to play in that type of atmosphere is something that nothing else could replicate. Hope Danny finds happiness in other passions

Warnock was always right. He didn’t question the players ability… i don’t think he was surprised for him to go on a good run. But overall, the guys character has shown through. I really hope warnock is loading up a tweet with that picture spence used to mock him when he got promoted

I guess we have different definitions of good runs. I want exciting lower league games. Not teams you play every week. But i’ll agree that man u game was special (more because we dominated them live on tv) … but you’ll always have to play a big side or 2 to win a cup.

it’s the best we can hope for but unlikely in this scenario. Obligations only happen when a club is desperate to get someone off the books. Man u will have plenty of interest in him so there would be no motivation to let us try before we buy. We’d have to commit on this one

ordinarily i’d agree but we are looking like a cert to go up. I don’t think anyone would question him coming if it was the summer. So if the move was there and his head is screwed on… in a similar way to winks, maybe he’d just want to get his career going again.

I have no idea on the feasibility on this one, but surely it would be worth a pop to try for smith-rowe on a loan with an option of 25m or something similar. Could see him flourishing in enzo’s 8 role. Arsenal aren’t giving him any look in. Not sure you’d get him for less than 25 but in the prem thats reasonable if he’s proven himself whilst on loan. (Given his age and potential)

i’m not so sure about that. Cags would be much more suited to a side like barca than athleti… i don’t think he’s good enough at defending for them (not many are) But they build on such a solid back line and cags is a little bit suspect positionally, whilst also being a bit rash in the challenge. He’s certainly not the defensive master that DE would require
