It’s an option to buy, if he was bad you just wouldn’t buy him. I assume the the club didn’t want to put a value on him before they’d seen what he was really worth. As they may have still wanted him even if he was half as good as he’d been. But to me it was worth the gamble all along as we all knew he had huge potential

It does seem odd that so little seems to be happening yet half of the managers will moan there wasnt enough time when the window shuts. I think its just a bit of poker with teams not wanting to show their hands too early. Personally think we are having a quiet window because we are going all in on YT and are waiting for Monaco to open negotiations. No YT could lead to a completely different transfer strategy for us

Maybe not on the 'youre getting mauled by the tigers' level, but lets make a 'try to not do this list' Lets stick to one `annoyance' per post. I'll start.... Trying to create a rivalry with Spurs. They dont care about us and the amount of posts about them I see on this forum is just embarrassing, we cant force a rivalry because we had one close season with them!
