He is such a talent, but he almost appears to be trying too hard. As soon as he gets a goal and a win under his belt and the composure comes to his game, he’s going to be lethal. Definitley gets us up out out of our seats though
-
Really? Perhaps I don’t watch as much of Burnley as you but I’m pretty sure 80% of their goals come from crosses into the box. Couldnt be further from our strengths.

Premier League Thread 2018/19 stuff it in here.

Playing i his actual position, I think Kante is in the top 3 players in the league imo (Albeit through blue tinted specs).... Him doing okay or well in another position is just a complete waste of his talent. If you were to draft players at the start of a season, how many players would you be taking in front of him? Am I just far too in love with N'Golo? He wont get the credit he deserves until he moves to PSG or one of the top Spanish teams. -
I dont think I've seen anyone suggest this.... I think most people agree he is an okay player he just doesnt suit us or our squad mentality. There's a goal scorer in there, just not one worth 30m
-
Can’t argue with those comments tbh, this squad should be doing a lot better than it is. His dads dropped him in it with the manager though. Big summer ahead, whatever happens in the rest of the season. I actually want to have a good look at Puels philosophy with someone like YT in the side. We could be looking at a different team for the next few months.

So you’re completely ignoring the fantastic job he did at Oxford? He was the leading candidate for the Weat Brom job last year and would have got it if Moore hadn’t done as well as he did
-
Surely Appleton’s too good for them? No offence intended. He was linked with some pretty decent jobs and is waiting for the right opportunity, can’t imagine that’s a 2nd tier Belgian side fighting relegation.
-
It's that attitude that has taken Southampton from one of the best clubs outside of the top 6, with a huge potential of success... to complete mediocrity and fighting relegation every year.
-
No, we have 2. We have the Ghezzal that's skillful and finds top bins when he shoots and we have the Ghezzal that won a competition on the back of a box of Kellogs. Claude switches them up for a laugh
-
If Demari had Albrighton's passing & Ghezzals finishing, we would have a decent player on our hands. But... if Demari had Albrighton's passing & Ghezzals finishing, he would still be miles off of Mahrez.... and I think we sometimes forget how much we lost when he left.

I heard that rumour as well but hes at the Asian cup so its fake news

Ticket exchange thread 2018/19 (Wanted/For Sale)

Please send me a message if anyone has spare Man U adult tickets -
After the first 3 games I wrote a post saying that I think he’d end up the best right back the club had ever had. I decided not to post it as it was a tad eager. The next few games he dropped off and I was glad I hadn’t posted. And felt stupid for considering it. Looking back now, I think it could end up to be true. His development in the last few weeks has been incredible, his attacking skills have never been in question but his defensive displays have been top draw for the last 6/7 games. I just hope he sticks around long enough for us to see if he could be the best rb we’ve ever had. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’ve played so well in the last 2 games and Chillys been back for both. We are incredibly lucky to have these 2 as fbs
-
I would be cautious about the ‘best team’ narrative. Against the best attacking teams, yes. But against the weaker opponents we will need an extra creative presence
-
If he had the same amount of minutes up front as Iheanacho he’d probably have more goals this season
-
I forgot how good he was tbh. He did more in one game than N'didi has done all season. Proper tackles, chasing everything, he was a complete nuisance to them all game. Surely he gets an opportunity against Chelsea?!
-
Is it just me or does it look like everything he does is unconventional? Im hoping its as you say, adapting to a new league but it seemed more like someone winging it when they are completely out of their depth. Hope im wrong and I will be patient with him but im worried this was a bit of a panic buy
-
Im not convinced at all so far. He looked like a fish out of water for the majority of the game. Benkovic is going to be ahead of him in no time.
-
With 50 mill could we clone Ricardo and make him left footed?
-
So true, Nuge used to get away with murder when he missed because of his cheeky grin after. I was thinking that perhaps we are being a bit harsh on him. We forget he is only 22, if he had come through our academy I honestly think we'd be looking at him as one for the future, but because of his profile (same with Ndidi) we are judging them as finished articles. Consider if it was George Thomas who we'd moved up to the bench this year, would he be getting the same treatment? They are the same age
-
We really would have been laughing if we’d got Alcacer

Tbf Peterborough defend better than Fulham

Looks as if Kaputska has got his confidence back, looked quite the player from those clips. This could be a great career move for him
-
But theres a reason they got those opportunities, because they were good enough, they are the cream of the crop. Chillwell is a great example, capped at England at all youth ages, captain of the under 23's at 18. Anyone could see he was a class above in the under 23's but rather than throwing him in to sink or swim, he had to earn his place. He had a solid loan spell where he proved that he could perform on the real stage. He was given the chance to train with the first team because of this, he showed that he could compete, then worked his way into the squad. Even with his ability most of our fans wrote him off because he hadnt fully developed, but imagine if we had thrown him in before his loan at Hudds? He more than likely would have flopped, had his confidence destroyed and the next managers would probably not have given him another crack. This would have set his career back years. Sometimes the club arent as foolish as it appears. Im confident Barnes will be the next example of this, he's going to need our support but next year he will 100% be integrated to our first team.

I do agree with this but it also highlights the quality of the premier league. If he went around capping every player who showed promise we'd end up paying for it. If theyre good enough they will get an opportunity at some stage and have to take it. The reality, over 5 years only a handful of them will be good enough and thats still not enough in this game, you have to be better than good enough to force your way into a money league like ours. We just have to accept that the majority of the youth players will probably end up in the lower leagues, if we get a few jems every few years then id be more than happy
