Quite funny because I genuinely confused him with eustace and thought he’d be good and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one
-
Surely the club weren’t allowed to activate it in January. We couldn’t be that daft
-
Well because for Enzo the club were a dream. Signed so many players on crazy money where usually a club would say no chance. but letting a manager sign who he wants isn’t very prudent as a manager doesn’t care if something makes financial or even long term sense … they just want what they need for their game plan. Most owners would have simply said the winks package was far too much but our owners likely didn’t even question it. Would a manager rather get exactly who they asked for or would they prefer to get a random player who fits the metrics that the scouts offer as an alternative. Of course they would be more happy getting the player they asked for. A large part of our downfall wasn’t just bad scouting and Rudkin decisions… it was letting Brendan get what he wanted. It was letting cooper get what he wanted and despite his success (and a far better record) letting Enzo get what he wanted also has caused us some issues

I want to give up on football for a year but it’s bloody hard not to be invested in the chance that some of these youngsters break into the team next season….. but then again we thought that about this season as well and it didn’t take long to collapse.
-
Yep and cooper. I agree that he makes a lot up to fill papers but he absolutely has a good source at the club. Likely one of the few agents we work with.
-
Depends if we’re viewed as a better stepping stone into what he wants next. managers who want to manage top clubs love a job where they can dominate, as it showcases what they could do for a big club. A mid table club makes it hard to demonstrate that. Kompany got the Bayern job through demonstrating how he can dominate in a league when he has the best players. if you look at mckenna, he has obviously proved himself but after his league 1 campaign with Ipswich he was already being linked with top jobs. It does seem incredibly unlikely, but you never know with football. Some big managers have moved to England and taken unexpected jobs in the last few years.
-
I think he will be out of our reach now. Should have gone for him last season, I really rate him. But what I will say, is that just because someone manages an under 21 side that doesn’t mean they will play youth. He has to play youth in that because it’s his job but as cooper proved, when they have the option… that might not translate. Is there evidence of him playing a younger player with more promise but maybe not as immediately good for the under 21s? Or did he stick to the the older options? I’m sure someone would know because that’s the bigger indicator. It he was happily having an 18/19 year old in the u21s then he’s more likely to take a gamble.
-
I disagree. He was far better under Enzo. Can barely remember a bad game under him. He needed the coaching, it’s his decision making that’s the issue

There was a thread about when our downfall started… the day we lost that pre-season friendly on penalties to Burton was the moment 😂
-
I want to beat Blackburn so that the reason we are relegated is because of the point deduction and therefore fully the clubs own fault.
-
That’s a huge question because with the way the rules are structured in league one the only way a club structured like ours doesn’t break the rules is through an owner lumping in money as equity. Something we are all assuming can’t/ won’t happen. But where does that leave us? Not only are the wages a huge issue the training ground costs alone are monumental. If king power have accepted that they need to sell the club, they may take a calculated gamble. Pump in 50mil , keep enough of the club together to keep it an asset, gain promotion and sell when we are back in the championship. Because the alternatives are sell sea grave, all the assets and be left with a shell nobody wants …. Or play an absolute blinder and find someone willing to buy us… but with the over hanging loans on top of all of this, nobody with a jot of financial nous will come near us. one of the reasons you got interest from saudis in Newcastle was because of all the financial wriggle room because of a decade of no investment. It allows them to actually go in and do what they want. Who would want to take over a plaything that severely has its hands tied together. We simply don’t hit either the rich play thing or quick buck investors and then what’s left…. Someone for the love of the game but nobody even slightly decent would be wanting us, it would be asset stripping or money laundering. But yeah would be class to keep souttar

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Lambert09 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
In what way? Playing them once the club is dead and buried doesn’t really count imo. Yes it’s good that he did it, but this is the same guy that trotted out the same useless guys each week. Had he started this season he likely continues down that path -
I think with loans especially you have to do absolutely everything the manager wants, or they’d rather use a player that belongs to the club. There was a lot of pressure on huddersfield to get promotion and I think the managers were always going to opt for a guy like harness over him due to his experience. It’s definitely odd that a player who got good minutes in the championship ended up with less in league 1
-
He’s been given such patchy opportunities it’s really hard to judge him. Manning decided early doors he didn’t rate him and that was that. We are all clutching at straws that these youngsters get a shot next season, if the wrong manager comes in, they won’t get the chance they deserve. Absolutely essential we get someone who isn’t afraid to give youth time. We might have a bumpy start but if we can get a young core to gel that gives youth a real chance to push on if you get promoted as they potentially have a huge ceiling. But if we end up plugging gaps with one season players (we likely will) then we’re still not going to progress the way we want
-
Excluding st Pauli, it could be argued we are still the best move for him. our wage will still be higher than those clubs let’s be real.
-
I think the difference is that skipp is terrible but appears to actually try. I can’t hate him because we over paid that’s on us not him. But the over paid dross that don’t try, they’re the ones tha get my back up. winks, Ayew and vesty all stink the place up because they walk around like they are the best players whilst being absolutely useless.
-
Didn’t realise he’s only 27. Would be really great if we could find a way to keep him for one year
-
If we signed Julian carranza in league 1, does anyone think he might have scored a goal?
-
He’s a very good championship cb. Unfortunately we simply won’t get to see him playing for us
-
Oh I agree but technically while it’s up in the air…. It’s possible. And that’s why it’s daft having left it this late. They can’t just pick the points based on the outcome. Not fair to Oxford or west brom
-
Whilst ordinarily you’d want the club to play the youth … I want the most used 11 selected and I want them booed every time they get the ball. None of the youth deserve the abuse that should be coming from the stands for this game.

See this is a weird situation now because if we win the next 2 games and west brom lose 2 … if they get deducted 4 points we stay up this league is a shambles
-
I thought they confirmed the deal has been activated?
-
We will spend all summer trying to get Liam rosenior in, I almost guarantee it. And then eventually he will get a good offer accept it and we will pick up the one candidate all the fans have been fearful of getting linked.
-
Let him go back to lisbon for the rest of the season and just let kingy take charge.
