We need a proper reset and to get rid of the dross that was signed on big wages under Rodgers. Soumare, Vestergaard, Faes, Daka, Kristiansen, Winks, Thomas all need to go. They are not good enough for the level we aspire, and have checked out playing at the level we’re at. Add in some of the crap that Cooper signed. Its almost a whole new squad, and many of those players will leave for nothing when their contracts expire so god knows where the money to buy replacements is coming from. The squad management over the past 5 years has been the antitheses of everything that made us successful.

We’re looking at a few years in the wilderness here. The squad is garbage, unbalanced, and lacks quality. It will need a Pearson character to come in and sort everything out, but we’ll not reach the heights we have in the last decade again.
