Hard to look at what is happening to Newcastle United with anything other than envy. I think that staying up is worth the PSR charge because staying up means you can attract better players. However, I would fully expect us to waste that money on yet more absolute rubbish. Going down and hoping Top sells is the only way forward for the club.

The negatives are that we'll give Dawson 100k a week and a 3 year deal.

Not a loss to us but Wolves will probably see it as a win to get rid of a 35 year old centre back and replace him with one 4 years younger that is a club legend.

The issue isn't a lack of pace. Faes and Vestergaard simply cannot defend. They are just shite players. Simpson, Morgan and Konchesky hardly screamed pace and we added Robert Huth to that. But that team went on to keep 6 clean sheets in our last 14 games.

Dawson can actually defend and isn't on 100k a week. About 5 years too late though.

Shame he hasn't joined a club in better nick but a Championship loan should be good for him. Hopefully he plays regularly enough.

There are three issues. Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn. John Rudkin. Susan Whelan. I think the only realistic way forward is for Rudkin and Whelan to be sacked immediately and for Raksriaksorn to spend the next 3/4 months looking for a buyer. Then the club can go into the new season with a new board and new owners.

You knew we wouldn't be doing anything before the window shuts because Rudkin was at the game instead of doing his job.

****ing hell man. Seen this thread was hot so I opened it and the first thing I see is this post showing Rudkin and Top in a tweet from the club. I thought they'd actually sacked him.
