  1. I disagree with you will all but your first point. I know Belvoir Drive is probably one of, if not the best pro women’s training grounds particularly one which isn’t shared with a mens team… but I still can’t see why the club can’t sell it and move LCFCW up to Seagrave to be with the rest of the club/mens team/academy. Surely there is space for them up there without it being cramped or fighting for pitches/pool/gym/medical etc? It still feels like they’re somehow seperate from The rest of the club.
  2. Adele crooning “Go Eeeeeeeeeeasy on me…” straight after the final whistle was a bit of a piss take if I’m honest.
  3. That’s ****ing beautiful.
  4. I do a lot of work at West Ham and I must say have done as best as they can with their new ground. Now don’t mis-understand me, I think their new stadium is awful for watching football in, it’s clearly a multi-purpose stadium and the football atmosphere suffers for it But….. They’ve covered all of the exit doors with the lyrics to “Bubbles” they have their new statue of Bobby Moore outside, the entire of the concourse is dedicated to their history…… they even have some sort of legacy wall covered in thousands of fans names who O think donated money at some point. Most of all the above is just signage. It’s nothing special but it is there. Could easily be done around the king power
  5. Almost like we should have a frieze running around the inside of the stadium with all of our historic players on it….
  6. Nice to see a Leicester team in front for once. Once again, the commentator is painful to listen though. Commentary punctuated by so many pauses in the speech that it’s like she’s half-arsed commentating whilst texting a mate.
  7. What an absolute ****ing ****. his apology is a complete sham. He’s not sorry at all, he’s sorry he got caught. I mean? Wtf is wrong with some people. a whole process of decision making went into the act itself, filming it and THEN posting it online? Absolute ****ing hand-pump
  8. Before King Power, before that pair of play-off semi final penalties against Cardiff and Watford, before the great escape, before THAT season in 2016, before an FA Cup and Charity Shield at Wembley. There was this. Supporting Leicester is always a roller-coaster, and I hate Forest - but I was never prouder to see City conceded a goal to them than I was this day.
  9. I do a bit of work at Fulham and they have clappers on every other seat in the Hammersmith Stand and the home side of the Putney Stand. They also place flags of varying sizes around the stands and have “honesty” wheelie-bins where they can be returned after the match
  10. I’m afraid I respectfully disagree. If you’re comparing it to me the I’m in an emergency service so yes, when I’m on a shout I have no option but to give 100% mentally and physically so resolve the issue. Ultimately, and without trying to be dramatic; people’s lives/property/business continuity/environment all depend on it. Granted, my motivation might wane when we’re in the middle of the millionth training drill/lecture/PowerPoint of the year. But that’s in training - you can’t give 100% in training otherwise you’re burnt out when it’s time to go. If I’m a footballer that’s where I’d expect them to not be at 100% too. Training, particularly in-season should be much less than 100% - especially when games are coming thick and fast. They’re at their sharp end for a 90-100 minutes period, twice - maybe three times - a week. If I’m their coach I’d expect 100% focus and effort during that time. I’m not expecting a win every week, that’s unrealistic, but I’d be furious if they ever take their foot off the gas and throw away any League/Cup matches. Competitors are designed to win. They’re compensated for what they can do in that 90minutes, not the training in between. Same as I am compensated for what my team and I does when we get that call, not sitting in a lecture telling me the same old training packages over and over again.
  11. Was just about to post exactly this. They’re playing football, not trying to crack the Enigma machine - they can only play one game at a time and we have teams of people analysing the upcoming teams that we have to play. Why can’t we to use an often used trope “concentrate on the next game” and attempt to win them all. What are they going to do? Have an early finish in Premier League games?
  12. Isn’t there a pitch with a small stand at Seagrave they could use?
  13. Good of Brendan to say what he did to Emma Hays at the end of that and she seemed genuinely touched. Nice display of mutual respect from two successful professionals.
  14. Ah - I live in Hampshire but thank you anyway Barbour was on my radar for sure.
  15. It’s worth researching though - Debenhams still exists online doesn’t it?!
  16. As the title suggests really… I’m after a new coat, you know the one that you’ve had for years because it just does it’s job well? I’m after that. I don’t mind spending a bit of money too as it’s going to last me a good few years at the very least (god I can feel myself getting older as I typed that) So many don’t really actually do a job of keeping you warm these days so if you have any brands/lines or specific coats you’d recommend - I’m all ears! Many thanks
  17. I’d take any and/or all three. but in my opinion the FA Cup is one of the most beautiful objects ever created by humankind, so if I’m forced to choose. That one.
  18. God damn you 😂😂
  19. I always kept club-printed, proper tickets and I have a either a ticket or a ST booklet/card from every one of the hundreds of matches I’ve ever attended. I haven’t been for a few seasons now because I live away, but a part of me is a bit sad to see genuine tickets go.
  20. All the very best for your surgery. nit read the book but I’ll probably buy it as a secret Santa present at work as they all support Spurs and Arsenal
  21. Well, this is something I’d never spotted before… but a quick google and blow me down with a feather, you’re right!
  22. Not so much a clicé but seems to be a trend that the football world has unwittingly picked up upon: It’s the tendency of managers/players, when answering any interview or press conference, to begin every answer with a sharp intake of breath and say “Listen….” or “Look…” It comes across to me as if they think they’re about to impart some heretofore unseen wisdom, that we, the mere mortals, could never have understood or spotted until they pointed it out. Unfortunately what normally follow is the normal, media-trained non-comittal answer that we’ve all heard 1,000 times before.
  23. I was at work, on the fire station, just getting ready for a night shift (not in Leicestershire) when my phone started going off. My mates were asking me if it was survivable. I think they knew but just wanted to hear something different from somebody who they perceived to be knowledgable about such things. It was a long shift.
  24. Vividly remember loudly shouting “Don’t shoot!” (in the not-too-loud B1 block) As the ball dropped to Lilian Nalis 30yds out against Leeds when momentarily before he volleyed it straight into the back of the net.
