https://www.11v11.com/matches/ipswich-town-v-leicester-city-10-february-2007-276825/ He was an inspirational signing, signed on a one month loan. Came on as a sub, played 7 minutes and was never seen in a Leicester shirt again. Went back to Cardiff 17 days later, to then join Oldham.

Thank you! Changed! Although I may have beaten the record for derailing a topic early by adding the King Power merch pictures!

You’re tempted to purchase one, I can tell.

I’d argue that the people on here have a different opinion, to the people in attendance watching the games at the stadium. The media still treat us like we are lucky to be in the league and we play to the underdog story as well. Sometimes to play with the big boys, you’ve got to fake it until you make it. If we’ve directed media coverage to us wanting to be the disrupter and challenge the big 6, then our falloff would have had so much more coverage by them. It’s still embarrassing quite frankly that we ever got relegated with the talent in the squad the wage bill we did.

They are! https://www.kingpower.com/en/brand/leicester-city-football-club They also have these beauties as well ….

Read the stats on FB.ref for the top 5 leagues. https://fbref.com/en/comps/Big5/keepersadv/players/Big-5-European-Leagues-Stats Or better yet, look at the stats comparing Hermansen, Ward and Stolarkzyk this season, then Ward and Iversen in 22/23. https://fbref.com/en/stathead/player_comparison.cgi?request=1&sum=0&dom_lg=1&player_id1=d3ce0e89&p1yrfrom=2024-2025&player_id2=d3ce0e89&p2yrfrom=2022-2023&player_id3=c924b17d&p3yrfrom=2024-2025&player_id4=a4a76b3d&p4yrfrom=2024-2025&player_id5=10d221cd&p5yrfrom=2022-2023 Hermansen is preventing 0.37 goals per 90 minutes, ranked 3rd in the top 5 leagues. None of Stolarkzyk, Ward and Iversen are what you’d ideally want as a number one goalkeeper at Premier League level. I think he’ll get better, however the difference between Hermansen and the other three is significant. The stats actually have Stolarkzyk worse per 90 than Ward was in 22/23. Now the eye test may tell a different story but he’s not the saviour we need right now. Hermansen is.

I thought I’d start this discussion rolling as we approach the end of the window and the rumours are swirling we want 4 more players. When you look through the current squad list, you can see the challenge we have, so the last few days of the window are going to be chaotic I’d imagine. With players only coming in, if we can move others out.. With the signing of Woyo, we now have no spaces left within the 25 man squad listing we submitted at the start of the season. To make further squad additions now, we either need to need move players on, or just not include them within the 25, effectively ending their season. I can see that happening with some of them as they near contract expiry in the summer, or maybe even longer term injured. The current squad is as follows: 1. Hermansen 2. Stolarczyk (HG) 3. Iversen (HG) 4. Ward (HG) 5. Vestergaard 6. Faes 7. Coady (HG) 8. Okoli 9. Ricardo 10. Justin (HG) 11. Kristiansen 12. Thomas (HG) 13. Ndidi 14. Winks (HG) 15. Soumare 16. Skipp (HG) 17. Mavididi (HG) 18. Choudhury (HG) 19. McAteer (HG) 20. Vardy (HG) 21. Daka 22. Ayew 23. Reid (HG) 24. Edouard Coulibaly becomes number 25. Fatawu, Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Alves, Braybrooke, Cartwright and Golding meet the under 21 requirement for this season, so don’t need to be registered. Clubs have to have at least eight players who came through the academy system in England in order to be able to use all 25 spots. I’ve put a (HG) next to the players that comply. We easily fill that, however it does mean that we will likely retain some players you would ideally like to move on. We’ve got headroom to lose 5 players, however that might present a few challenges next season. I can’t see us re-registering Ward. I think he’s played his last game and leaves at the end of June. This frees up one slot but moves the home grown status to 12. Defenders wise, Ricardo is back in March by all accounts, so he gets registered. I can’t see us moving someone on, maybe Thomas or Okoli to free up a slot. Thomas’ contract expires in June. However I do wonder if we’ll loan him with a contract extension, with one eye on next season being on cheaper wages and being homegrown if the worst happens and we get relegated. This then allows us to sell Kristiansen in the summer and one less position to back fill. Okoli hasn’t worked and by all accounts he’s homesick, so if we are entertaining offers with a view to replacing him, then that’s a like for like swap. Midfield wise, McAteer and Choudhury maybe need loans as they’ve struggled with life in the Premier League. Again, that impacts the home grown status. Ndidi is close to a return so gets registered. Forward wise, we just need to send Edouard back to Crystal Palace. It’s a bizarre situation but I can only see it happening if Crystal Palace sell him or we get a replacement lined up and need the squad space. In a nutshell I think we free up the 4 remaining spaces from the following. GK - 1 DF - 1 MF - 1 FW - 1 A lot of moving parts in that though. So support this challenge, I think we should all get behind the club, download the King Power App and purchase some of these cracking shirts they’ve got on offer for £23 each. #KeepTheFaith #FoxesNeverQuit #LetsSmashThis

Shearer, Del Piero, Van Nistelrooy, Keane, Xavi, Totti, Ibrahimovic etc Some adapted lost injury game and played differently, Having done the injury twice myself, I’d say it’s easier for a Shearer and RVN to recover and not impact their game, compared to Fatawu. They aren’t twisting and turning at speed to beat players. He was still growing as a player, so it’ll take time.

Look at the stats for Cannon and read what the Stoke fans say about him. Young strikers with prolific goal scoring rates go for a lot more in the Championship. Look at Piroe. He isn’t that great and this is smart business to cut out losses and free up PSR funds to re-best in the squad.

As others have alluded to, from the bits we hear about the business structure of the club, we aren’t run in a traditional fashion by British business / British football. So the King Power Group is split into different Operating Divisions. They’ve got: 1. Travel Retail 2. Retail 3. Dining 4. Hospitality 5. Consumer Products 6. Travel Experiences 7. Sport 8. CSR https://corporate.kingpower.com/en/our-business/#sports https://corporate.kingpower.com/en/king-power-revamps-new-strategies-in-the-past-3-decades/ I’d imagine Jon Rudkin operates within the sports division of the business and potentially reports directly into the head of the Sports business, rather than Leicester. Susan Whelan in theroy does various jobs as she’s also listed as Senior Executive Vice President of King Power International Group Thailand and on the board of OHL. I’m going to hazard a guess and say she’s Vice President of the Sports Business line. It also says here that they welcome customer feedback its contact centre! https://corporate.kingpower.com/en/contact-us/ I’d imagine the protests will fall on deaf ears unless you’re blocking the shop and very turnstile, thus stop the tolls ringing!

He’s checking if Maddison’s heart, skipps, skipps, skipps a beat ….

This is starting to feel a bit like the Peter Taylor collapse. We had a brilliant start and hit heights that we hadn’t even under O’Neill. After we lost to Wycombe in the FA Cup we went into free for all under Taylor was sacked in the November. We won 1 in 11 games then against Tottenham, who were also in awful form.

Unfortunately he’s not in the best of health currently, so I don’t think he’ll manage a football again.

This sums it up perfectly.

And he’s livvvvvvvvveeeee https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGdALVhbx/

What do OHL fans think to King Power?
-
I wasn’t fully against Enzo but he’s got one system and when it wasn’t working he wouldn’t adapt. At that point I’d have debated changing him. He had major brain farts with in game management as well. I had major doubts when we wobbled but he turned it around. So fair play to him. I’m still on the fence with how he’ll do long term. It’s so difficult to judge as I’d have liked to have seen how he’d have gotten along in this league with us. I was against Cooper from the start, as pre season was a disaster. I wouldn’t be against canning Ruud but the lack of back room staff, bizarre transfer activity, cult of King Power, major financial constraints and stone wall blindness about the situation from the club, makes me think they are at ease with the situation. We look like a basket case of a club that is capitulating from the inside. We can’t continue like this.
-
I’m adamant he’ll go down as one of our worst ever signings in terms of outlay / output. A total waste of money.
-
I’m really torn on this. Clearly we are a mess right now and missing players that are key. Cooper played dreadful football but had us outside the bottom three. You could argue that we’ve looked 2nd best in every game this season, however have nicked points. Now my issue with Ruud currently is that despite Cooper playing horrendous football, he was nicking more points that Ruud. We are playing better football but have somehow become less effective. We are currently conceding more and scoring less. I wanted Cooper gone, however I’m starting to think that maybe Ruud wasn’t the man to replace him.

My father didn’t bother going and I did t watch or listen. How was it, genuinely?

I really wish I’d never written that post @shen 😂

So Isak has now scored in 8 consecutive games. Game 9 - Bournemouth Game 10 - Southampton Game 11 - Fulham Game 12 - Manchester City You would bet on him getting it wouldn’t you!

It was all part of King Powers Fox Hunter project to promote and enhance sport in Thailand. King Powers has been split into separate operating divisions with one of those being sport. They won’t sell up. Having access to British sport, allows them to cross paths with the extremely wealthy. It’s almost like a came of chess and Leicester City Football club are a pawn.

I think it’s when Top turns up isn’t it? Or when We’ve got a bus parade. I still think last years bus parade was embarrassing.
