I don’t think the future is at major risks as we do have assets. For me, what is at risk is being competitive at a higher level. That is going to take time, effort and luck to get back to the Premier League. Sunderland, Portsmouth, Forest, Blackburn, Leeds and Coventry are recent examples of team that have fallen. Financial mismanagement destroys club as they stretch to stay at the top table. I’d suggest that PSR is just as bad at strangling clubs as bad owners are. Other team throughout history though have never got back to the top of the sport after finance . Preston over 100 years ago were the original invincible team.

If you watch the sequence back, a stronger keeper wipes out Nelson and the QPR player if he’s coming that far out of goal. I blamed Nelson originally an he’s at fault, however Stolarkzyk needs to clear this just as much if he’s coming into no man’s land.

The entire defence is a disgrace in fairness.

We are badly out of form and didn't get a new Manager bounce. We’ve lost to and been beaten by two teams that are arguably in worse form than us. Clearly Sheffield Wednesday are gone. However you could argue that those last two spots could be occupied by Leicester, Blackburn, WBA, Portsmouth or Oxford. Oxford aside as they’re making a fist of it currently, the rest of us pick up points every now and again. We are all as bad and indifferent as each other.

The thing about the Bristol City game was that a good proportion on here called out just how bad Bristol City were. We are in real danger of going now, as this team does not have the leaders to pull us out of a hole.

Justin was never as bad as people called him out for. He wasn’t as good after his injury but he was still significantly better than Kristiansen, Thomas and Choudhury at full back. No idea what’s gone on with Ricardo this season but he looks shadow of his former self. Nelson is an odd one. He can pass a football but his general awareness and positional sense are far from great. He almost needs a stronger leader next to him to talk him through games. Playing him next to Okoli, who is only 24 himself isn’t the answer. He played 17 games for Oxford in a team that was battling to stay in the league. They won 5, drew 6 and lost 6. He was out injured for half the season. He played alongside Elliott Moore (Ex Leicester) for half the season, or Mikel Hilek when he returned post injury. Both are a bit older and can maybe guide him though a game a bit. He can clearly pick a pass but if we’d signed him for £15m, he’d be getting the sam abuse Vestergaard gets. He’s young, still learning and needs a better partner next to him. Is he overhyped, massively. Then again, so are all of our youngsters. They weren’t exactly tearing up and dominating the Premier League Youth leagues for all the ability they supposedly have. He’ll be a steady player at championship level I’d imagine. Let’s not kid ourselves and think he’s shown anything above that, after spending two season fighting relegation from the league.

Wayne Brown was pretty much brexit football and not exactly Pirlo! Okoli looks worse as he’s trying to play a brand of football he simple can’t play. May as well play Choudhury at Centreback.

I still find it odd that they’ve even appealed it!

We won’t know the state of King Powers finances until the end of April. So we have no real idea if they are broke or actually recovering as tourism has increased. However, that aside. El Mardyhous (El Khannous) - already sold for £15.5m Fatawu will be sold for £15m. Faes goes for £8m. Daka, Ayew, Ricardo, Lascelles, Marçal and Begovic are all set to be released due to contracts expiring. This will cut the wage bill by around £9m per year. Apparently Winks will be here for another year but will still be the highest paid player at the club earning £40k a month-ish. Soumare was a drain on and off the field, his wage is off the books and he is gone. We will also look to the likes of Vestergaard, Kristiansen and maybe Skipp / Winks. People will still attend games in the hope we get promoted. They’ll still buy King Power tat from the shop. It’ll drop but not off a cliff. I expect us to play with mostly youth with the likes of Cartwright, Braybrooke, Alves, Evans etc being in the first team squad. I’m not convinced we get promoted if I’m honest, however we will still exist as we will sell off playing assets on the cheap to balance the books books.

Hold on, is this some sort of new news that I’ve previously missed?
-
Still hope that the appeal is successful

Remember when we beat Manchester City with two goals from Huth? It felt inevitable that we’d go on to win the Premier League after that game. Today. Today. It feels inevitable that we will be relegated.

We are so bad at times

He’s having a shocker

Nelson has had a mare with that

So we’ve eased sanctions on Russian oil, as they’re not killing people, to counter the inflation in oil prices caused by Iran. Please can someone make that make sense?

They’re just a bunch of detached idiots

Fully agree. When building any team, we all know it’s not just about ability, you need to blend cultures, attitudes, talent, egos etc. It seems we have just been in contact with agents and scouted ability. That wasn’t our model at one point like you say. A team that works together, will always out perform a load of individuals. -
The right rule would be a UEFA wide salary cap for all leagues. It sort of levels the playing field as well. The Premier League greedy six are never going to agree to it being introduced though. Football isn’t played on a level playing field. If you consider the team that finishes bottom of the Premier League still gets you around £100m in TV revenue alone. Barca / Madrid only get £150m, Bayern £80m, PSG - £60m from domestic TV rights. Champions League inflates that massively obviously and that’s why they’ll never agree to it. Similar to the reasons they’d never let Celtic / Rangers join the EPL. I do like the idea of a bond that others have mentioned before.

Questionable attitude and appears to down tools when he isn’t getting his own way. Slammed us whenever he could on social media / press. Supposed bad apple. Refused to train to get his transfer from Genk to us. Similar story with us to Stuttgart. Half hearted performances. Technically very good. However not worth the headache, wages and toxic attitude to keep someone that doesn’t want to be here. Either get on board or FO. We were always best cashing in and getting rid of him. At least we’ve recouped what we paid. All in all, I’d rate this transfer on par with Soumare, Kristiansen, Daka, etc to be honest. Just a total disappointment and really flattered to deceive. -
The rules are just wrong. Kicking someone when they’re down is a deplorable action by the EFL.

We have heard nothing further on both ours and the Premier Leagues appear into our 6 point deduction. That could still be massive at the end of the season. The cynical side of me wonders if they are half hoping we get into a position where they can show they’ve increase it, however we are slightly higher up the table, therefore it doesn’t impact us.
