He’s better going forward than Thomas, however he’s a worst defender than Thomas. I still believe we should switch to three at the back, drop Nelson in as a LCB and put Kristiansen as the left wingback. He has an engine and will forward.

He’s clearly been told he needs to get promotion. That comes from the top. No other reason not to plan for the future and start to blood some of the younger players as this point. The issue I have and will continue to state is we need to change the system.

Daka was useful when he first arrived and we didn’t ruin in by trying to make him the footballer he isn’t. I still think Souttar has a part to play here once fit. Faes, Okoli, Ayew, Reid are all just just meh but if they’d been purchased as squad players, you wouldn’t raise your eyebrows at them. Golding was a PSR fiddle. Vestergaard has been useful to be honest. Skipp, Kristiansain and Soumare plus the one not on the list, that cost us a fortune in wages is Bertrand.

We’ve been outplayed, out thought and tactically outclassed: by what is, quite frankly, a very, very average Championship team. Soumare however; was entirely absent and has done absolutely nothing in this game, whatsoever.
