    Harry Winks

Peak Foxestalk to want to get rid of our only competent midfielder.
  3. Knowing us, we’ll now go and spend whatever we get, on Gustavo Hamer
  4. After Ward and Coady, he’ll be bloody standard guest appearance every episode
  5. So we can wear our blue top, blue top, or pink top?
  6. The EFL summer transfer window closes at 7PM on the 1st September. Squad lists need to be finalised with the EFL by 7PM on the 2nd September. Rules are: Up to 25 players, including a minimum of 8 home-grown players. Under-21 players in the Championship: Not required on the squad list unless they’re registered as temporary loan players. The Championship 25 player limit includes goalkeepers, unlike Leagues One and Two. So with that in mind, with future potential sales (and no incomings ) who makes that list? Players ages as follows: Asmir Begovic - age 38 Jordan Ayew - age 33 Ricardo Pereira - age 31 Harry Winks - age 29 Boubakary Soumaré - age 26 Patson Daka - age 26 James Justin - age 27 Luke Thomas - age 24 Wanya Marçal - age 22 Jannik Vestergaard - age 33 Bobby De Cordova-Reid - age 32 Wout Faes - age 27 Hamza Choudhury - age 27 Jakub Stolarczyk - age 24 Ben Nelson - age 21 Sammy Braybrooke - age 21 Harry Souttar - age 26 Stephy Mavididi - age 27 Victor Kristiansen - age 22 Kasey McAteer - age 23 Bilal El Khannouss - age 21 Will Alves - age 20 Michael Golding - age 29 Oliver Skipp - age 24 Caleb Okoli - age 24 Woyo Coulibaly - age 26 Issahaku Fatawu - age 21
  7. I think both would have left given half a chance. Another 12 months of people watching they’re slightly not to standard and they become a risk. Kristiansen also fits into this description. Enter value to be had elsewhere. I fear Skipp will be the next one. Winks at least has something about him, whether you like what occurred or not. Soumare and Skipp have been an utter disaster.
  8. Better off getting £250k for one season, then nothing at all.
  9. Very valid point!!!
  10. I was more thinking about the fact that they could have used the situation to acknowledge the kickback.
  11. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/exclusive-wrexham-afc-plot-new-leicester-city-transfer-raid-hamza-choudhury/ Wrexham are plotting a move for Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury, sources have exclusively informed Football League World. The Red Dragons have certainly made a real statement to the rest of the Championship this summer by being one of the top spenders in the entire division after being promoted from League One, with their latest acquisition being a £10 million package deal for Ipswich Town forward Nathan Broadhead. Kieffer Moore, Lewis O'Brien and Conor Coady are among the other names that have arrived in North Wales this summer, and their recruitment shows no signs of slowing down, with just two-and-a-half weeks left of the transfer window. Wrexham AFC eyeing up move for Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury FLW has been told that Wrexham are lining up a further addition to their midfield ranks, and a name firmly on their radar is Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury, having already headed to the East Midlands to land Coady earlier this summer. The 27-year-old, who switched international allegiances earlier this year to Bangladesh, appears to be on the fringes of new Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes' starting 11 plans this season based on his first Championship starting line-up against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, but he did start and score from right-back against Huddersfield Town in the EFL Cup earlier this week - and even captained the side too. Parkinson though is now seemingly looking to bring Choudhury to the SToK Cae Ras ahead of the transfer window closing on September 1, although it remains to be seen if Leicester will be willing to strike a deal with their divisional rival. Leicester loaned Choudhury out to Sheffield United in January 2025, with the Blades pushing for promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and he appeared 19 times for them - including playing every single minute of their play-off campaign - as the Yorkshire side narrowly fell short in the final at the hands of Sunderland. Hamza Choudhury's Leicester City contract situation as Wrexham AFC eye up move Having come through Leicester's academy system, Choudhury has been at the Foxes for 20 years now, having joined the club in 2005 as a child. Feasibly though, his time at the club could soon come to an end thanks to the options they have in midfield and defence when everyone is fully fit, having played 132 times for the club since his debut in September 2017. Choudhury though still has two years remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, having signed his most recent deal in September 2023, so Wrexham will have to stump up a decent fee if they want to sign the Bangladesh international permanently - unless they can strike a loan deal with City.
  12. It’s a bizarre situation really.
  13. You can’t rely on Soumare and Skipp either though Everyone would answer this differently though. I don’t disagree on the long term financial stability part at all from my perspective. Unfortunately some people live beyond their means and I would say even have some naivety in terms of future expectations. Not everyone will be as long term financially savvy. So they get themselves into a situation where they’ll have pushed themselves to the brink and won’t sacrifice lifestyle changes whilst they can still ride it out. Plus let’s be honest, if you’re getting paid top dollar to go into Seagrave everyday, it’s not like you’re sweating it out training in the local park, dodging dog muck, or you’re in Eastern Europe / Brazil where Supporters have been known to invade training facilities to make feelings know on poor performances.
  14. Put it into perspective though. You yourself are in a job that is paying you £500k per annum. In reality, you know you could only move jobs and maybe pick up £200k per annum. Your mortgage, lifestyle etc are built around the £500k per annum. Do you stay for 2 years picking up the extra £300k, or leave as it’s a little bit toxic? Not everyone will answer that question, the same way.
  15. I still think we’ll win the league, so no. Whilst we haven’t looked great, neither has most of the division. Marti needs time to implement his style. We still have the best squad in the division in my opinion, however that could change y the end of the window.

    Harry Winks

Let’s be honest here. Good players perform better when they have better players around them. Winks playing / passing to Dewsbury-Hall, who was mobile and cared as well, was always going to be infinitely better than working with Soumare as his midfield partner. When you’ve got a play next to you that doesn’t move and your only option is to pass backwards, it’ll make you look worse. This is why player combinations are so important. Soumare is about as effective as a concrete bollard in that midfield and he makes those around him look worse.
  17. He was better as an impact sub than starting games I believe. My Cardiff supporting mate said he was largely ineffective when starting games. He did say he’d have taken him back for the season though.
  18. Fatawu Ricardo Stolarkzyk Thomas McAteer Mavididi El Khannous Justin They care, some may lack ability but they try. I’m on the fence with Winks. I do like him and I feel it’s maybe a semi misunderstood situation. Souttar if given half a chance could be great in this league under the right style. I think the fans would connect with him once fit. Reality is, we’ve hardly seen him since he’s been here. I want to like Daka and Okoli, they just makes it hard work for differing reasons. They’re both shown more than what they’re currently doing. You could see them going elsewhere and flourishing. The youth players need time to develop and connect with the fan base. I’m not a fan of Soumare, Kristiansen, Skipp, Reid, Vestergaard, Faes and Choudhury. I feel empty when considering Ayew. If he takes many more crap free kicks then he’ll join the dislike pile.
  19. SOME OF THE WORST PENALTIES IVE SEEN ….. this month.
  20. Kasey…… FFS
  21. El Khannous ….. run up was too straight! Off the beans on toast. Advantage Huddlesfield.
  22. That is a great penalty by Castledine 2-2
  23. I fancied that to be a smash, but not great again … 2-1 Thomas to out is ahead.
  24. 1-1, first good penalty
