8/10 games in the premier are very much like the Forest WHam game boring as & whilst we got slated for our shots & shots on target last season again the majority of games have a combined shots on target value of less than 7. The game has become so sterile.

I do think he’ll contribute with goals once he gets a couple but we need pace and movement to create for others, how many games in the past 3yrs had the tv commentators mentioned “ I think that’s Vardy’s 1st touch of the game” or stats at the end showed Vardy only had 3 touches the whole time he was on yet still affect the game with him just being there. Yes he needs to score a ton load to get the credit we gave Vardy but as he’s the only other option we need to support him. Ayew behind him is a lot better than Ayew in front of Page.

Equally those that pigeon hole anyone that does it as doing it as the latter need to acknowledge there will be plenty doing it in the name of the former. It’s ok to have concerns, objections & views that don’t push you fully 1 way or the other & the forum would be richer for it. How many posters has the forum lost, be it permanently or via restricted inputs due to a majority rule approach, there’s nothing more boring than just seeing posters beaten into submission on a topic that could have variable viewpoints.

If it was wages that did for us Forest must be well ahead of our curve and heading for the same fate. They must already have 2 to 3 times the amount of players on £100k+ pw than we ever had & more in the next bracket down £70-90k & all this after just 1 decent season.

I think the matchday thread will tell you different when Thomas & Hamza are named as L&R backs. We need a replacement, if Ricardo goes twang again we are left withThomas, VK, Hamza & Woyo there isn’t a better combination out of those 4 than JJ & Ricardo pairing so yes I’d say we are squad weaker but £8-10m is £8-10m and in our situation obviously anyone is fair game.

I think yesterday proved that Monga & Page are not yet ready to start, they should be getting the odd 20mins or so because continuing to start them and them having games like yesterday will do more harm than good. Silko Thomas had a better highlights reel from his few minutes than the pair combined yet the other 2 probably are better players, they need to be managed properly and eased in. The emergence of Dowman in the premier league shows these 2 have someways to go.
