  1. What an ahole and another mouth before brain engagement from him. Obviously he doesn’t go into the fact he was already on gardening leave, he’s not just had his ears pricked by us and kicked off. Then he speaks of loyalty of managers, doesn’t mention clubs mind, but either way a little check on managers currently holding positions in the championship and only 6 of the 24 clubs have had a manager longer than 3 no, 2 no just 1 year! Of which 1 has come down from premier, 3 have come up from Lge 1, 1 from Lge 1 the previous year keeping his team in the championship & the 6th is Rohl who is in limbo, the remaining 18 clubs have had a manager less than 10 months… There are very few managers that stick to 1 club or are given the opportunity to stick with 1 club, if I was MC I’d recover that 500k by suing this berk for defamation.
  2. No superstars, have you seen the weekly wage?
  3. Still, McKenna & Lampard will be on more than 20k surely & google tells me Carrick was on 30k
  4. of course after beating BHM in the PO then COV (after they beat Sheff U in other PO) in the final we can all relax now
  5. we make the PO's
  6. Just in case Danny Rohl is a no go , Ai tells me this on Chris Wilder:- Style of Play Chris Wilder's style of play is known for its tactical innovation, particularly his use of overlapping center-backs in a 3-5-2 formation, and an aggressive, attack-minded approach focused on overloading wide areas. He emphasizes intricate football, building play from wide areas, and overloading the final third. His teams are known for their attacking intent and ability to create crossing opportunities. In essence, Chris Wilder's style is about being proactive, attacking, and adaptable, with a strong emphasis on utilizing the strengths of his players and creating overloads in key areas of the pitch. Does CW use youth players Yes, Chris Wilder has a history of utilizing young players, both from Sheffield United's academy and from other clubs, and has shown a willingness to give them opportunities to prove themselves. He has emphasized the importance of a pathway for young players and has spoken about integrating them into the first team when they are ready. Wilder's Philosophy: Wilder has expressed a desire to build a connected club where everyone, including the academy, is working together. He has also stated that he is "not scared" to use academy players if they are good enough. Is this the same Chris Wilder?
  7. You have to think what is the point of the Premier league actually being run next season it’s 1 of Liverpool, Man C, Chelsea or Arsenal that will win with the other 3 taking the remaining top 4, these 4 will be in a league of their own points wise. Arsenal will be stronger with the addition of Zubimendi & if they get Gyokeres & Madueke also linked with Eze. Chelsea having signed 6 already are still shopping & rumoured to be in for Dibling & Nwaneri who only has a year left on his current contract. Rodrygo looking like he will leave RM and Chelsea a potential destination but if not them then 1 of the other 3 will get him if he wants to play in the premier league. After these Man U and Spurs can’t be as bad as they were last season, they both looking to spend big to make sure of that and will expect to be 5-7 along with Newcastle. I very much doubt we will see Forest, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth having the same season as last & the 3 up will most certainly be 3 down. I think it’s going to be a very boring season for sure.
  8. Gittens completes Chelsea move making that 6 signings so far & pushing squad size up to around 80 players
  9. Chelsea and Villa fined £27m & £9.5m respectively for breaching UEFA financial rules, part of it being squad cost rules. The statement goes on to say it could rise to £52m & £13m if not paid on time…well what a f’ing joke Chelsea have spent £1bn putting the squad together what is £27m going to do to them, they even have an instalment plan to pay it off ffs 🤦‍♂️ Villa have also paid a tidy sum but neither being investigated by EPL mind, just go after the minnows the arses.
  10. Has Rohl actually been released from his contract or been allowed to talk to us? Are SW still asking for 5m but we are pointing towards the 1m clause (where ever that came from) are posters saying just pay the 5m? I thought we wanted them to manage funds better? Are we waiting for the legal process of SW not playing their staff meaning we could get him on a free? I thought we wanted them to manage funds better? Are we in discussions with him but so far nothing has been agreed, if he's asking for 10m are posters saying just pay it? I thought we wanted them to manage funds better?
  11. Same situation we would have got a lot more for our 2 but relegation and contract years left blew that out the water. As you say they are top of their curve and he still has 3yrs left on current contract, they can ask the earth for him and someone will be dumb enough to pay. I don’t see him pushing anywhere near that figure this time next year as I don’t see Forest having a good season.
  12. I was going to say it’s good to see a CB up near the front of the SDS test but that being Nelson, he looks to have good stamina and wasn’t blowing as hard as the others at the end either. Who ever comes in I really hope they give a fair crack of the whip to the likes of Ben and Caleb & don’t just go on perceived names.
  13. I’ve only seen the pics from OS which has 2 of Ricardo and these must be 2 of only 5 or so that I have ever seen him not smiling, please can someone post any from another platform of yesterday with him in full beam please please. He must be missing Vards 😔
  14. Yep sad news he did actually look like he could have snatched a starting spot from GP. Assume geography played a part in his replacement over trying to get JVP from Argentina. Probably the best for JVP as he’ll start for England but would be a 3rd choice Lion you’d imagine.
  15. I know it’s all doom and gloom around here nowadays but I would rather be reading stories of Vestergaard and Faes leaving before Coady. Whilst it was a 5hit show last season I imagine Coady did more behind the scenes trying to keep players together and focused along with Vardy than those 2 ‘look after myself’ individuals would have.
  16. Chelsea - £222m Liverpool - £216.3m Man City - £116.5m thus far and they haven’t finished just yet. Will assume Arsenal, Man U & Spurs will be gearing up to spending big also. No EPL of course there’s not a problem with you PSR rulings.
  17. I guess the saving grace is that the decision makers running the club don’t put their boots on, on match days. We still have low end premiership and high end championship players within our squad which is better than all but a few championship squads. Couple that with hopefully Rohl who probably has over achieved with the squad at his disposal and issues within the running of that club we should be able to secure PO and have a push for the automatic places which I’d say might just be out of reach but I could also see us getting 1 such is the championship.
  18. I hope you mean 30/06/2025
  19. Brentford playing a risky game over Mbeumo as they continue to play hardball with Man U rejecting a 2nd offer of £62.5m. They risk Man U moving on leaving them with a disgruntled player who only has 1yr left on his contract.
  20. I imagine at some point Chelsea for example will buy back their women’s team, their hotel and what ever else which will be spread over a number of years in the books in much the same way as player transfers are and when the times right will be sold back again to generate an immediate lump sum injection to avoid psr issues in a continuous loop, unless of course anyone outside the top 6 tries to do it and the loop hole will be filled in but the top 6 will be advised of this well in advance so they can ensure these assets are where they need them to be. Of course that could just be the cynic in me talking.
  21. Was always going to be a tough game especially with a lions mix of starters and reserves and 1st game n all. Argentina are no longer the whipping boys they once were and have beaten NZ, OZ, SA and now the Lions all within the past 6mths or so. I expect they will add ENG to that list in at least 1 of games next month and then SCO & WAL later in the year, they have a very impressive squad and coaching team currently.
  22. Stade Rennes only signed Kyogo in January for £10m & he’s played just 120 minutes over 6 of 15 possible games, 🤔 He’s still got 2yrs on his contract, they will want best part of that £10m back surely which then doesn’t look like a good deal for BHM.
  23. Do we realise we won’t be signing a ready made starting striker, does anyone see us dropping £20m+ on a single player to lead the line? So would we rather sign a young lad for £1.5m who has potential whilst still being fairly experienced of the league etc or 1 of those names who’s already 26+ but been a steady player for a championship side or squad player in low end premier club for £10m+ and just becomes a steady player for us? Daka will lead the line at the start of next season unless sold, better to have hungry young lads fighting to replace him than just bringing that £10m steady Eddie on 🤷‍♂️
  24. Equally knowing this place it will explode if / when Cardiff do well. I think he will do well myself, he’s more experienced from Rochdale days and has had access to all the tools Man C could provide him & probably still tapped in. Its obviously easier to go to Cardiff than pick up the main job here despite both clubs wanting immediate returns, he’ll have the luxury of being under the radar and afforded time to create a style with an expected young team made up of academy players and loans with the odd old head. I can see this as a 1 step back to take 2 steps forward type move for him, so fair play to him.
  25. Stadium is around 64k capacity and the whole lower tiers all around are full but the camera angles is shite so can’t really see the upper tiers other than 1 quick shot but there were supporters up there, would guess 45-50k crowd most of which are Boca home fans it would seem. As an a side, Roberto your a plump grey 58yr old let the ponytail go man!
