Remember doing a summer job as a student at a place where he worked back on the 80s. He was as welcoming of an arrogant, opinionated student as anyone could ever be. A thoroughly good bloke who’s passion for footy was evident even then. 😞

Second half, that was the most engaged I’ve felt in a game of football we’ve played in maybe two years. 👌

My match summary:- First half - OMFG we are going to get battered. Second half - we can feckin’ do this !!!!! Overall? Two attacking signjngs away from having half a chance. Marvellous evening’s entertainment. 🙌

We’re unbeaten this season, at the time of writing.

So here we are. A massively rough season ahead that will have us in despair more often than ecstasy, I suspect. Very hard to feel any enthusiasm for what will be a season of drubbings and embarrassment. But if Cooper keeps this rag-tag bunch up, I’m having that as the second greatest managerial achievement in this club’s history. As for tonight? Well, Betty, you’re no doubt looking down with a fag in your mouth and a G&T in hand …… and pissing yourself laughing. Because this appears to be ours. BDCR, Ayew, and a kid from Chelsea at millions that will never play ten games. We are where we are. No accountability at the club. No vision. No way out of this season. Brace yourselves, people. It’s going to be a grim 12 months.
