  1. If this is a rustle, it's impressive.
  2. Presume we're signing him to play #10? If we're spending this kind of money on a winger, on top of Fatawu, it's ludicrous.
  3. Has it actually been leaked or whatever yet?
  4. I have no idea why he was such a **** after leaving, I think he had a pretty good relationship with the fans - all that stuff about being desperate to beat us was so bizarre.
  5. Wow they look super cool - thanks for all your hard work Mark.
  6. Get rid of him
  7. It's the job Potter's been waiting for
  8. Artificial, yes - intelligence? Not so sure.
  9. My main issue, yet again, is the frankly embarrassingly amateur way our board has overseen this whole saga. - They start off with aggy remarks about Maresca as he left, ok fine - it's annoying, but be professional ffs. - They talk to Cooper early on, it's clear he wants it - a fair few sources confirmed that we were in talks a few weeks ago. - They then spend about 2 weeks seemingly going 'ok, well Cooper's a good backup option, now let's see who else there is' - They publicly court Potter and get made to look like fools yet again. - They then try and backtrack and claim that Cooper was 'always the standout candidate for the role' (well why spend weeks talking to other people if you were always going to give it to Cooper?) - do they genuinely take the fans for idiots? - The whole thing ends with the fanbase mystified and disillusioned as to what's going on, Cooper comes in knowing that despite what the board says, they clearly would have gone with Potter if they could have gotten him - which must really make him feel wanted and valued - and the whole thing has become a circus. NONE OF THIS NEEDED TO HAPPEN. Absolute amateurs - it's an embarrassingly shit way to conduct any kind of business, not just running a football club.
  10. Well it's not exactly box office, but box office is arguably not what we need this season. I think the people on here making out he's some kind of route one, ultra defensive footballing dinosaur are being ridiculous though, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how we set up. When I look at some of the alternatives who are out there - Parker, Lampard, OGS - it could have been a LOT worse. I'll give him a fair crack of the whip - supporters seem to take to him wherever he goes, so let's hope that continues here.
  11. ENZO MARESCA ENZO MARESCA STICK IT UP YOUR POOPER COS WE'VE GOT COOPER HIS COCK'S ****ING MASSIVE
  12. This really was the moment it all switched 😂
  13. They always say be careful what you wish for - King Power could go and we could end up with someone even worse, but tbh I think the relationship has massively soured in the last couple of years.
  14. Yeah, he's apparently 'by far the best candidate', but let's spend weeks literally trying to find anyone else. Utter nonsense from the club.

  16. ENZO MARESCA ENZO MARESCA YOUR FOOTBALL'S TRAGIC BUT POTTER'S MAGIC HIS WANDS ****ING MASSIVE
  17. Evens is buying money.
  18. Personally, I can't see any 'big' club taking a chance on him again any time soon, and when you look outside of the traditional 'top 6' in the PL, which clubs would really be a) realistic and b) an attractive option other than us? Maybe Newcastle? Though I think they'd potentially swerve him too. Maybe Southampton if they have a bad start? I think we give him a pretty attractive route back into PL football, I think his other options either have to be international management, or going abroad somewhere.
  19. No Iain Hume, Danny Tiatto, Matty Fryatt, James Wesolowski or Patrick Kisnorbo? What's wrong with you people
  20. If it was a straight shoot between Potter - who sounds like he'd need convincing - and Corberan - who sounds like he'd see it as a genuine step up - then I'd give it to Corberan to be honest. If Potter's just taking it because we're the only show in town and he's not really that arsed, then that's only going to end badly. I really rate the guy, but if he doesn't want it, then we shouldn't offer it.
  21. Probably been mentioned in here a bunch, but Gus Hamer for £15m is a steal and we should absolutely be going for him.
  22. I think they'll manage to hold on to a few players and have a really good season, been v impressed by Glasner.
  23. Brentford and Forest are both established Prem teams and they got 39 and 32pts respectively. My only point here is that it's not a given that we need 40 (or the equivalent of 48 - whatever the deduction is) to stay up. Let's set ourselves a target to aim for by all means, but it's not set in stone. We're not the only team in this league with problems, we probably won't be the only team finishing the season with a points deduction to be honest.
  24. Everton finished on 40 this season, a full 14pts above the drop zone. We're unlikely to have three teams that bad in the league this season, but 40 is not necessarily the magic number. He kept them in the league and built on that in the coming seasons, and for me that's all we really need at the minute.
  25. 31% is a fairly decent win rate tbh - especially as this was before Brighton were really thought of as a 'good' premier league club - if you look back at their squad back in 19/20, there were some good players, and players with potential, but they were hardly world beaters back then. His first couple of seasons were basically identical, but he improved in his third season, and his fourth was obviously cut short after he moved to Chelsea, but they were looking even better then. I'd be fairly pleased if we got him - I think anyone is going to have a bit of a job on this season, but if you can look beyond that then there's potential to do well with this club.
