2021 - we win the FA Cup and finish 5th in the Premier league. At this point, we’re a high profile club - competing in Europe and a real chance to kick on and become and established top half club. We’ve got the top training facilities and plans are established to increase the stadium capacity to beyond 40,000 with further investments in the surrounding areas. Since that point, there has been no investment in the stadium, and comparative to top teams no real investment in the playing squad - from memory in that time we’ve spent £20 million + on four occasions- Daka, Soumare, Skipp and BEK. Whilst several players have been moved on for bigger fees - Maddison and Barnes cover the big fees spent here. Without knowing the exact figures, we’d have to be net profit on transfers over that time. We’ve also averaged more than a manager a season since - with these managers style of play seemingly having nothing in common - Rodgers to Smith to Maresca to Cooper to Van Nistlerooy to Cifuentes… All this time the same problems have been evident from the same personnel. We are in a cycle of new manager, early on nothing changes, we call for managers head, sacked and repeat. All this time zero accountability from the top - and the person who is ultimately responsible for hiring managers and negotiating player arrivals and departures. Rudkin is still comfortable, the board is still the same minus Whelan (who’s departure juts before the sponsor who shan’t be named is confirmed - can’t be a coincidence) We are in a massive downward spiral and unless everything changes, nothing changes. For those calling for the head of Cifuentes, whilst I agree it’s not been great - we know nothing will change unless we remove the board, the DoF and some of the massive dead wood who put in effortless performances every week and are clearly not wanting to be here.

You still got Man Utd? Spurs home form is shocking, and United have been much better of late. *Just a thought and please don’t be influenced by my opinion it’s usually wrong 😂 -
I’ll be there in Melbourne for all 3 Day, tempted to drive to Adelaide, just don’t know how happy the Mrs. Will be with me spending 5 days on the piss in Adelaide in the week before Christmas. A couple of mistakes I think the Aussies have made before a balls even bowled. 1. Moving the first test away from the Gabba - I don’t know exactly what the record is there, but I can’t remember Australia ever losing a test match first up at the Gabba. I think a Gabba test almost certainly gives the Aussies a 1-0 lead. Optus stadium is a bit of an unknown and could favour Wood and Archer - both should be fit and firing for at least one test. 2. Moving the day night game away from Adelaide. Australia has a 100% record in pink ball tests in Adelaide. I stand to be corrected, but I think this is the first day nighter in Brisbane. Taking away Aussie favourable conditions. And giving us a chance. This is in my view, a very weak Australian side, not really an obvious choice for an opener - the battling line up is average at best. This is though, supported by an exceptional bowling line up. Even without Cummins there is so much strength in depth. I think England to win in Perth and in Melbourne, Sydney will be a wash out as usual. Australia to win in Brisbane- though the day night aspect does slightly alter the test. Aussies will also win in Adelaide. 2-2 - If England turn up ready to fire in Perth.

Leicester 0-2 Blackburn POST MATCH THREAD

Just lazy - not a single player put a shift in today. Just when you think it can’t get any worse, this group of players out do themselves. **** the lot of them right off. -
Not a single player has put any effort in today. It’s embarrassing. Top out Rudkin out Marti out These players can all nob off too.
-
We went 2-0 down, and Marti thought **** it you know what this game needs - Ayew and Luke Thomas - sit down Silko mate, we’ve got a game to win. Let’s bring on the old reliables that haven’t ever let us down before.
-
It’s just ****ing lazy. Everything we do, every problem we have just comes down to lazy ****ing players.

The why does every thread we want to comment on thread gets closed thread?

I’ve heard Brexit are looking to get Big Sam until the end of the season, should see them safe… reform and usual suspects will be nervously looking over their shoulders. -
Is it? Or are our strikers just not getting in the right positions and making the right runs. When you have a striker missing lots of chances it’s obvious, but you know it will come because they’re doing everything else right. Our guys just aren’t where they need to be. Take Luke Thomas chance at the death in a game recently, (I forget which one now, they’ve all merged into one). Last minute and Thomas effort goes right across the face of goal and out… now a good striker is on hand for a tap in there, they are anticipating, making the run and busting a gut to get into the six yard box. Ours just don’t do that.

Hugo De Lisle, with a name like that I really want him to go all the way! -
I think we’ll go Stolarczyk Ricardo Faes Vestergaard Thomas Winks JJ Ramsey Fatawu Daka Monga I think, this is the first game we show the division who we are. 6-0 win. Daka hat trick - Fatawu, Monga and Thomas. With the goals - the we start walking over this division.
-
Just give it to Walkers to the end of the season.

Time to start the engine… Who’s jumping on early… Just another thread with only positive vibes as the young kids say… We’ve got some of the most exciting young players in the country in our squad. Marti’s almost got his best XI going, just one defeat all season, without being at our best. Personally think things have been improving, and we’re ready to make a might bid! We are going up!

Please release him, let him gooo… for we don’t love him anymore…. I can think of a few times recently this Engelbert classic could have been sung.
