Ruud will say get me Ferguson to Rudkin. He will end up with Big Duncan Ferguson as his assistant.
-
Needs to be done quickly, feels like getting players out has to happen before we get players in. Woyo, Ndidi and Hermansen back soon and a couple more new face we may have a chance.
-
We have to take our chances. In the last three home games, we have gone behind, we had opportunities to take the lead in all of them. Need to hope Woyo is a Cafu regen!
-
You'd have to assume Ruud has targets he wants in and we need to raise funds to make it happen and Cannon is one of the few saleable assets we have with actual interest.
-
We need movement out to bring some fresh blood in he seems to be on of the few players generating interest. Needs must.
-
100% they would crank up the price if we wanted him.
-
I'd imagine it 25% of the profit.
-
Ok, so you are saying he will work at the end of the window if he doesn't get what he wants? Give me a timeframe?
-
With the lack of incomings noises, it seems we have to move some on to generate capacity to bring some in.
-
There is no chance he walks until the end of the season.
-
Shit teams playing out from the back a gift that keeps giving.
-
How does the ref miss the ball being out by a foot!
-
Rudkin would have paid 182m
-
It will be the repeat of other years we will want more than people want to pay, we will probably end up with Okoli going on loan for peanuts, Cannon and Hamza stay. We could have sold Iversen last summer but we wouldn’t sell him at the right price and after a two years of consuming wages he will leave for free in the summer
-
Only winger I know who's waits to be double up on before taking anyone on.
-
More likely they are trying to avoid surgery which will lead to a long recovery by doing rehab.

I get the impression that recruitment is very much manager-led without a clear underpinning strategy. Our best recruitment period was general under our PL era was during Puel's tenure which built on the foundation of the Pearson era to create a top 6 squad. It was pretty poor under Rodgers, with the odd gem, Enzo seemed to breathe new life into it and seemed to have doubled down on Cooper's requirements for PL experience. This season we spent 70m, only one is a starter in BEK. We need a DOF and a new head of recruitment to create a new strategic plan to move us forward. We have been horrific sellers, losing the likes of Soyuncu, and Tielemans for free, and Barnes and Maddison for less than they are worth. We could have got 3-4m for Iversen a year ago he leaves for free in the summer. We currently have a squad without a decent fullback, winger or striker.

Clearly with the noise around Hamza, Okoli and Cannon we need to shift players to bring some in.

How many goals have we scored in the time? I'm not an RVN out by any stretch and hope he gets the reinforcement he needs, but he hasn't got a free pass. Losing 0-3 and 0-2 against relegation rivals at home isn't good enough. -

What metric are you measuring improvement, or just how pleasing it is on the eye? Losing 6 on the bounce scoring 2, and conceding 16 goals is some setback including being beaten by to relegation rival 0-2, 0-3 at home. I saw Burnley have loads of great passages of play and go down with a whimper. We aren't spending that sort of money in this window, if we spend 25m plus I will be surprised. -

He's had 9 league games a 1/4 season, 10 if you add in the cup game. I'm asking him to tweak it, and get the best of of what he has. There are positive and sign of improvements in our patterns of play and structure but we are still not effective. In his time here we have conceded 18 league goals, average 2.11 goals against per game. We have scored 7 at an average of 0.77 per game. We have fail to score in the last 3 home games. We are ineffective in both boxes, the business end. He needs to improve things quickly. Those stats are of a team that will go down without a fight. What are you definition of great football? He been dealt a shit hand, but that was the job he accepted. -

He's going to have to be a mix of Cafu and Roberto Carlos to sort this out. -

Simplify your tactics and formation, the poorer standard of player the more you have to simplify the process and the message. One example: He's asking JJ a player clearly struggling for form to transition for RB out of possession to RW in possession. A player who struggling do the basics. A player who can't beat a man or play a final ball is being asked to be your main creative outlet of the right. Sometimes your manager has to be the differences maker. Modern managers are fixated with plan A, if plan A doesn't work, do it better, if it doesn't work again do it better again. Sometimes you have to except plan A is crap. -
Sale, drain the whole swamp and start again.

20m on a CM when we needed a CF.
