Our transfer amortisation has dropped considerably; it peaked in 21/22 at around 71m per annum and has dropped to around 40m last summer, and should drop again to around 30m this summer. If we could offload the Souttar, Soumare, and Kristiansen, it chops another 10m off. I prefer us to be taking gamble on players for 7-10m who we can develop and grow.

@Foxysausages I think he's more of a talisman then a leader. If he's not have am impact on the pitch I don't think he's leader as such. He made 37 PL appearance last season and had little impact. For me his legs have gone.

Not for me, the team benefits from having more movement with Daka and Cannon.

He made 5 changes from the PL game against Liverpool. So it was a bit mix and match, no Neto, Billings etc.

Can't blame him for giving the likes of KDH, Winks, Mavididi, Faes and Vesterguard a rest this weekend. Squad has been pretty stretched since the start of Afcon, Asian games, injuries and suspensions, add Daka, Souttar, Nacho, Ndidi, Fatawu back into the squad things are different, Sensi if that happens also give us more options. Millwall and Birmingham put out pretty strong 11s. I think you will also see Bournemouth rotating their side.

The date a player signs doesn't dictate when the fee is paid. You can agree any payment plan for the transfer fee you like as long as it agree between the two clubs.

Not really, if it's 2m and we sign him on a 3 year contract only 666k would be amortised against this years books if we brought him now. I think it's more we don't want to be stuck with his wages if we blow going up. He's wage for a season we cost more than the transfer fee.

We are looking in the bargain bin, with little to spend. If he stays fit it's a bargain quality player.

He is. But it a compromise, they want a fee of 3m we don't want to pay that now and only want him permanently if we go up. So it buy now pay later and all parties win.

Really want an easy draw. Qtr-final are the 16th of March, but then all being well we should be in a good place league wise and be able to field a strong side.
