If we buy a striker, it will be in the summer in my opinion. I think another 8 will be the priorities for this window, followed by an LCB if we decide to spend. The number 8 position is central to the Enzo system. We currently only have 2 up to the job, KDH and Ndidi at the moment as Akgun and Praet are struggling with niggly injuries and Casadei for form. Akgun is likely going to be needed to cover the wide positions if Fatawu is called up to AFCON. Nigeria could go deep into AFCON, meaning Ndidi is missing all of January and the first week of February, an injury to KDH, and we are in big trouble. I also think Enzo would use an 8 as a false 9 like his mentor Pep if required. We have to buy an LCB in this window or the next to play this season and have been like to a number of players.

Cannon has pedigree in the Championship, and I don't think it trusts; Enzo seems to be very switched on to player welfare. I think he is easing him in after what was a serious setback; he can't risk breaking him with AFCON around the corner, leaving us with one fit striker.

Whoever stays needs to be given a proper go, playing the majority of the games. For me, Daka was brought as the heir to Vardy, but we were never brave enough to make him the main man whilst Vardy was around. Daka has suffered as a result as has Nacho, knowing a few bad games and you are dropped. I think it comes down to whether Enzo fancies Daka long term; and as you've said, does Daka want to be here? We can't afford to keep 4, as you rightly point out.

I think for both Kel and the club, it's time to try something new. He's a mercurial player who has been here for 7 years under 5 different managers. Over that time, he has never managed to nail down being the main man; many thought this season he would be prolific and finally do that. For whatever reason, he hasn't; if he has no plan to extend his contract, then we need to cash in and recoup some money to add to the pot.

Not sure they would for the club shop staff as they would have a lack of contact with them. But I'm pretty sure they would for the people that are in and around the team, on match days and around the training ground.

One thing Mavididi definitely has over Barnes is workrate, and ability to support the defensive play behind him. Barnes was a liability without the ball and often left our LB 2 on 1.

He spent over 350m in two and a half season. People seem to gloss over this point. Decent job but far from incredible.
