Why can’t we simply pass to our own team? I don’t know the stats on it but we must have the highest percentage for giving the ball away. It is atrocious.

Woyo Coulibaly signs - Official

I always wonder if I am alone in my thinking here, but even being a right footer, Justin has always played better on the left. Just curious really if by bringing in Koulibaly we now have three players fighting for both full back positions, of course VK only for one and when Ricardo is back, If ever, we have four. Not saying good enough though. -

Who knows but we have to bear in mind Cooper had Hermanson, Fatawu and Ndidi available. I can’t help but think all three would make a difference. Also Ricardo, though he chose to never play him. -
What’s happened with this one?

QPR (H) - FA Cup 3rd Round - Match Thread

No matter who we play against why do we give the ball away so often? I wouldn’t mind if it was from trying an inventive attacking ball but it is usually from us passing at the back, missing opportunities to pass forward and so then we hoof it out. It seems so simple not to do this. -

With the amount of posters saying how playing our best team could be important for a win to get some confidence and perhaps motivation, it got me wondering whether we have a sports psychologist employed at the club? I know quite a lot of the back room team were let go when Rodgers came in, and I am sure we used to have one but thought someone on here may know more. If not, I think it could be a huge help. -

We spent £25 million on an unrequired Skipp and didn’t improve our first team defense… if that isn’t down to Cooper, then who? Surely we aren’t just going to buy Skipp without Cooper wanting him. -

People will be comparing RVN and Cooper based on results but I think it is important to give a manager a transfer window to give him the chance to find the solutions. Cooper could have improved this defense or team as a whole in the summer and he didn’t! That was his biggest failure. -
Villa away (Post match) 2-1 loss

Our defense is calamitous. We need reinforcements now and possibly a sports psychologist to help with their decisions. Why wasn’t someone closing down Barkley? Why didn’t Justin get rid of it? Quite often our defence should just get rid and they don’t. I think, if Ndidi was on the pitch, Barkley doesn’t get as much time for that shot. -
I thought they were only planning on loaning Ferguson? I could be wrong though. I’m not Brighton.

In the final third. I see so many times he is on the overlap and just ignored. -

But why will nobody pass to him by choice in the attacking third? It is only if there is absolutely no other option on. -
Couldn’t agree more. I know JJ comes in for a lot of stick recently, and understandably, but I just can’t ever see what is good about VK. He just looks badly positioned most of the time.
-
A lot of people seem unhappy with that defence, and I agree it isn’t good, but who do they expect to play? We simply don’t have the defenders at the moment and need some in when the transfer window opens. From all our defensive options available, I don’t think RVN can do much. It isn’t his fault that this is the level of defenders at the club.

Certainly not good in any way today but I am behind him until after the transfer window. I don’t know how much a manager has to do with the signings, but you would like to think he should be the one who says what he needs and gives the final decision. Whether this is so, who actually knows. What I did realise today is that out of our whole squad, not first team but squad, there is only 8 players I would keep if I could change them all and 2 of them are keepers. Not one of these players is a defender. I think first team defensive improvements should be our priority over anything else in Jan. Let’s see if Ruud does this. -

It may have been mentioned in this thread but I haven’t read it all. Does anyone known if Stolarcyk is still coming back from injury? That is my only theory as to why Ward would be on the bench.

I think Barnes is deliberately trying to not hurt us. A bit like The Colour of Money, you need to look like you are trying but just be slightly off.

Not so much about the game but I am curious to know what the I stands for in that acronym? I know the LMFAO but not the additional I. Thanks
