Be fair. Better in a lower division. He was extremely good in a lower division. I know I sound like I am his dad or something right now, but we have all seen how capable he can be and I don’t think ability like that just vanishes.

I completely get that, but sometimes when your are not confident and your head isn’t there even the possibility of financial gain doesn’t change it.

I am wondering whether the psychology of it all is getting to all of them. They were stoppable, and earlier in the season he would have stopped them. He can stop them. He will again.

Maybe it is simply down to the fact he has no defence in front of him and, I am guessing absolutely shot of any believe in us winning, that psychologically he is a little broken at the moment. I am certain he will show his ability again once he is in a better team.

Another issue for our young players could be how often over the years we have been inclined to go and buy an ageing player. If I was an up and coming youngster and saw the team were in need of a winger, then I would hope they would give me a chance but would soon feel disheartened when they go and buy someone like Decordova Reid.

Hindsight can make you consider things differently but, for me, we were getting relegated with Cooper at the helm so had to make a change. It hasn’t worked out. However, I don’t think it would matter who managed this team. The quality isn’t there, but unfortunately you can’t just sack and change 20 plus players, so it always has to be the manager that goes.

I think it was clear today how valuable he is to our defence and team as a whole. Nobody else gets that last ditch foot in, or last minute interception time and time again like Wilf does!

I am curious to know how long it has actually been, with all these bad decisions taking place, all this mismanagement of finances, all these ill scouted players, all these PSR issues, all these bad team selections, all this lack of action and resolution and the last few years of showing no drive or real ambition, that we have blamed Wellens?

I think today was the first time ever I nearly turned the match off. Wish I had, but believe we have to stay until the bitter end through the bad times as well as the good. I just don’t see how you can think this. I think Jakob has shown he is reliable and a strong keeper, and I will be fine when he is our number one… but Mads is something else.

Cooper picked up points by our relegation rivals going down to 10 men and having Mads Hermansen preventing us losing the others. Nothing he actually impacted achieved any points. He also had a pre season to determine our defence wasn’t good enough and didn’t fix this issue. I know the terrible transfers and squad are not down to him, but he must have some say in the thought process of, we don’t need to improve the first team defence, spend the money on Skipp instead.

At least someone would get in the box!
