I’m not sure if this is already mentioned but are we slow to start because the manager instructs that in style? I mean, we don’t have to sit too deep, do we? We do have players at the beginning of the match, fit and capable as much as many teams in the league, but we sit back as though we are scared. The first 11 isn’t so terrible it shouldn’t be able to consider itself a contender in this league.

We also sit deep straight away which I think isn’t ideal against these teams unless we can hit on the break, which we seem not to be able to. I was just crying out for them to go down the right to attack as the left, where they kept going, delivered nothing.

Never thought I would say this but if there is one area I am happy with it is our two centre backs. I love Ndidi but he doesn’t help us move forward. We need a midfielder between the DM and the AM so can’t play Winks and Ndidi. I would sooner Justin on the left and Ricardo back in. I don’t trust Victor. I want Mavadidi starting on the left. That is all I ask for the next match, and if we don’t look better, I won’t request anything again.

I only really voted on the second half as I’m giving them a bye for the first half as they were adapting as a team to a new season and a new division.

I know Coady is currently injured but I can’t help but think if he wasn’t then he and Vestergaard could be a strong CB pairing. Yea neither are fast, but fast CBs go to the big clubs pretty quick. They can both pass, control and move the ball, and have plenty of experience. I guess, I don’t really understand why Okoli was bought if we aren’t playing three at the back. Time will tell I guess.

Is Ndidi playing as our striker?

Hopefully Facunda will make a huge difference to this midfield from an attacking and creative perspective.

Did we just have all ten outfield players on the six yard line for a corner? Guessing we have no intention of taking advantage of a counter attack.
