  1. I don’t think Cooper is the right man for the job but I’m balanced enough to see that he can’t control players not doing their jobs. Faes / Okoli being incapable of clearing a goal kick, Facu and JJ making piss poor decisions at the end of the box.
  2. “Cooper out, he doesn’t even play our strongest team. What is he doing?” Plays strongest team… ”Cooper out, that was rubbish. What is he doing?!” You can’t have it both ways. I’ve been in the camp of saying he needs to play Fatawu and Ricardo and both were honking today. We also made stupid errors and looked way too open but you can’t blame Cooper for that.
  3. I’m fine with him sticking around if he learns. I missed the first 20mins so can’t comment on that but from midway through the second half onwards we were the better team. My issue is that it’s been the pattern - start defensively-minded, go behind, take the handbrake off and finish with a flurry. He needs to play to our strengths in that we have a great trio of players behind Vardy who can make things happen. Also think Ndidi’s under lapping runs are really underrated.
  4. Can you send me the link so I can also hate watching it please?
  5. Anyone got a stream link (DM please)
  6. I was one of the ones who complained about him when I saw him in the starting line up. He did ok today and has generally done ok when he’s played. The problem is, his inclusion is an example of Cooper’s negative approach. He would prefer to play him over someone who offers more threat going forward whilst also having far more potential. It’s also pretty evident that when things aren’t working, he’s slow to recognise it and make a change.
  7. What does Ayew actually bring to the team against a mid to lower table team at home?!
  8. And those good halves have usually been the second halves after we’ve had to start chasing the game. Cooper is wasting the potential we have going forward - Mavididi and Buoanotte have both looked promising. Fatawu has been disappointing but we know what he can do when he’s on it. Then you’ve got Vardy who will take a chance if given it. We’re sleepwalking into a situation where we leave ourselves too much to do
  9. It is dull but it’s also down to the way we play football. We’ve got no outlet whenever we do get the ball and so we just invite pressure - yes they are superior and there’s a huge gap but setting up with one winger showing no intent to keep the ball when we do get it doesn’t help. Cooper is so negative and he just repeats the same approach every game - get in the bin.
  10. And we’ve still got Ayew to bring on 🤞🏽
  11. Okoli has been our best defender this season but you’ve got Faes and Justin in there…?
  12. Needs time to adjust. Buonanotte should be starting until he can get himself up to speed. The worrying thing is that he drifts to the left and playing Ayew RW (who then drifts central) means we’re completely lob-sided.
  13. 2 points dropped when you’re playing an Everton side with Young at LB and a CM at RB. Yet again we’ve sat up negatively and then shown we can cause problems when we have a go. Cooper is the issue.
  14. 🎵 “…..he’ll take the ball from you” 🎵
  15. People saying he hasn’t been good for 3 seasons. It perfectly coincides with him trying to play a different role - one that doesn’t suit him. He’s a destroyer. He’s not an 8 and he’s certainly not a 10. Of course he looks crap.
  16. With Edouard and Bilal there’s absolutely no excuse for him to be going as defensive as he has done these first 3 games. Make or break post international window for me.
  17. When there is such a disparity between financially powerful clubs and the rest, I can totally see why teams refuse to go toe-to-toe. It might make for a boring game but if the underdog nicks it 1-0 playing that way as opposed to getting thrashed 5-0 going for it, why wouldn’t they*. *appreciate Southampton aren’t financially inferior to us btw.
  18. Apologies, that didn’t come across.
  19. Bertrand was a drain on our resources though - he didn’t feature and was getting paid. This should be a different situation as BDR has played more than 30 games a season for the last 3 premier league seasons. The point I was making was that we’ve filled a squad position without shelling out money (we don’t have). If his wages are comparable or lower than Praet’s / Albrighton’s then this should be net positive. He’s probably not going to set the world alight but we’re going to need solid performers with experience to get us through the season.
  20. What does it matter? We got him on a free to provide cover for two wingers who have no premier league experience. If he’s any good we’ll extend for a year or release him and have lost nothing but wages.
  21. I don’t, but this is an example of a game where we’ve been good (helped by a poor opposition who have actually come to play rather than just sitting in). The problem is when we’re bad we’re very bad.
  22. We’re fu88ed. Years of languishing in the championship ahead (if we’re lucky)
  23. Nice Warnock / Muscat reference there
  24. Seen them given. We should never have been in a position where there was a choice for the ref to make. Our game management is crap and the final 3 mins summed that up. Lucky.
