Thomas Okoli Faes Kristiansen Ayew Carranza Daka All not good enough. So that’s most of our defence and all of our strikers. Can’t defend, can’t score. Add to that the gash we have in midfield. It’s embarrassing.
-
Heads gone. Needs to come off. What is it with our left backs at Millwall
-
He’s gone backwards
-
Drossroads more like 👀
-
Foul by Okoli in the middle of the park was no worse than the one on Fatawu just then
-
Need a goal, move Ayew up top. 🙄
-
We are so bad
-
At least we’ve created a chance
-
Carranza has done enough so far to suggest he deserves a run of games. He doesn’t slow our play down like Ayew so that’s always going to be a plus but jury still out as to whether he offers more than Daka. I would like him to cut out the falling over / theatrics.

Really boring isn’t it

Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread

We’ll never know if that would have happened though. We do know that he dived in 2 yards from the by-line and gave away a pen. Ultimately it doesn’t matter but it’s still my opinion that you dive in as a last resort and it wasn’t a last resort…and whether it had been Faes or Ricardo or Fatawu I’d still hold that view. -

This repeated point doesn’t really work with me. Feel free to go through my posts and you’ll see I’m not a Faes hater (I don’t rate him but he still adds more to the team at this level than other options). I can call it a stupid challenge without it serving some sort of personal agenda. -

He shouldn’t be giving the ref a decision to make in that position though -

And fair enough if we did as he doesn’t have a track record of doing stupid things. -

Of course there is something wrong with that challenge. It’s not like he was within the 6-yard box. A sensible defender uses their body to ease him out of play. At absolute worse he scuffs a cross into the box and it’s cleared / gathered by Jakub. More than likely he wouldn’t have got there and sliced the ball out of play whilst being off balance. Its brain dead and unnecessary. He’s gone for glory and it’s backfired. -
Would like to see us impose ourselves more. Need to have a bit more arrogance about us when we get into these positions - we’re the ex premier league side, we’re 1-0 up, we should be looking to put these to bed.
-
He looks a great player. Technical, physical, bit of bite. First £5m to be spent next year should be on him
-
We lack any sort of ruthlessness. Go 1 up and we should be looking to put teams to bed but it’s just so pedestrian - and then of course we concede.

WBA (a) 1-1 Leicester Post Match thread

This is where JJ was really effective first half as he was picking up those inside channels that Ndidi used to run under Maresca. -
It’s far worse to commit yourself like that on the edge of your 18 yard box when you’re the last man. Jockey, stay on your feet and delay. It’s basic defending 101.
-
Not seen him apart from when we played them but my lasting impression was that his kicking was awful.
-
-
VK has to deal with that either by cutting it out or reading the play and seeing the man out.
-
Nat Phillips is a Craig Dawson regen in every way possible
-
Bouba has been decent tbf
