I always see posts on here and think people are overly negative and over reactive. Seeing the business that Ipswich and Saints have done has me tempted to join in. Only positive is, we see newly promoted clubs make these kind of deals frequently and they never all quite meet the preseason transfer hype.

A large number of football league clubs returned yesterday with their season starting the week before. The 8th of July gives us nearly six full weeks to prepare for the start of the season which I would say is pretty standard. I guess it also allows for a lot of the off-field noise to have settled down as well before everyone returns, you'd like to think we will have a few announcements this week around coaching and playing staff.

I wouldn't say he has to push anyone out as such, everyone there will be starting with a clean slate, and with Enzo in charge he may have a head start on others. Will be interesting to see how he does there.

Round Sheffield Run ticked off yesterday, it’s 19km of running broken up over 11 stages, 24k total with the recovery sections in between which I happily walked! Great race that takes you through some beautiful scenery, mixed in with some horrible elevation and technical descents. Managed the whole thing in 2 hours 45 with an official running time of 1:47:45. Managed to cramp up on the penultimate stage about a 1/4 of the way up a climb, toes were clenched and wouldn’t release until I got to just over halfway up, so I was doing some funny hop, skip, jig to keep moving. Really, really enjoyable race.

Players turning and waving their arms at fans, you’ve been horrendous for 90 minutes, one bit of magic. I appreciate they need the backing but this manager and players have got to give the fan’s more. If we go through you know it will be another quote in the press taking aim at the fans for losing faith.

It’s the calls about how they are corrupt because they are favouring one badge, said by the people who will ignore any sensible argument in favour of the other badge. People laugh and take the piss out of Unkel, but I’d say going off of here it’s pretty clear why ITV employ her because the majority just don’t know the laws of the game or how they should be applied. Neither do I, I was surprised to see Fofana was only 21 which makes it slightly more appealing but if it meant it blocked other potential deals it wouldn’t make sense. Not sure around Glover and Broja links, but Broja has made 66 PL appearances with 8 goals and 2 assists, Daka has a better return from 53 PL appearances.

I imagine any deal with Broja or Fofana means the money upfront will be massively deducted in comparison to what the supposed Brighton deal involved plus Moder?? Hence us just wanting the money, also I can’t imagine Broja or Fofana are on reasonable contracts with the way Chelsea operate which would complicate it even further from our end.

The strange environment comments are just another indication of a manager who is under pressure and doesn’t know how to cope. Along with the Phillips comments earlier, we’re seeing similar to the way Rodgers reacted when the tide turned here. I made a comment yesterday about the players not caring which a few others pulled me up on, and they were right, it was made out of frustration. I think what you do see from the players is that they are operating under a manager who is lacking any leadership and providing direction. Going off body language in the first 15 minutes alone from the match yesterday I would say there is something seriously wrong in the England camp. I suspect stuff will come out in the months to come when Southgate has left his post, but what a serious waste of talent this was again for another major tournament.

Matt Reeves and Tom Joel have been here since at least 2015 in some capacity, Mitch Willis maybe just as long but unsure. I think their roles are usually dependent upon whether the manager brings anyone in with them but generally our sports science and medical department doesn’t change with management changes.
