  1. That’s my point, refs shouldn’t ever be giving them.
  2. Well done mate, nothing shameful about getting any race done! You’ve gone 13 miles more than most will have today.
  3. The fact the player doesn’t appeal himself is enough for me, there’s the minimalist contact from two players running, and he kicks his own heel. Can’t be giving them as a penalty
  4. Exactly we have seen it with the Leeds goal this week as well at Boro. I’d much rather mistakes made without VAR but it’s getting pretty boring when we drag up the same old stick to beat VAR with regards to these minimal offsides when it’s been the same the whole way through. Take the Coventry goal as an example, was it gutting for them, yes I’m sure it was, was it controversial as many people made out? Not in the slightest, it’s just the same as every other toenail offside.
  5. Does well to foul him when Kulusevski trips over his own feet
  6. Of course it is, every element of media around the game brings attention to every little decision made because it generates controversy. People who have no interest in the other 14 teams in the league will take an interest in the likes of Wolves, Bournemouth, Luton etc because fans have a shared feeling of being hard done by from officials. Look at the moaning above, like it or not, that VAR decision is consistent with near enough every other offside VAR decision where some random body part is off by a mm or so. It’s crap but why allow that one now when other teams have had so many go against them? Just so it stops Arsenal challenging for the league? Its been a great start to a game, there’s no need for that VAR decision to be a talking point because there’s no controversy around it, but you know for sure it will be the talking point.
  7. Great to hear, always happy to be wrong over people losing work.
  8. I said to my dad and brother that he, in a way, changed the game when he came on. He gets possession back higher up the field and puts us on the front foot, it could have been coincidence but it felt like our mentality changed with his introduction, another strong showing.
  9. Lad I work with who worked with Martin at the swans told me he’d be in the away end and would enjoy watching our lot not get a kick Our neutral colleague posted in the work group chat at 2-0 “game, set, promotion” which I thought was quite fitting. Bring on work tomorrow!
  10. For about the first 15 mins maybe they’ve been quiet for the majority.
  11. What the f***ing hell is that, comes to mind!
  12. Another reminder to me to not take any social media post at face value
  13. Stupid challenge
  14. Can’t believe I agree with Stan. He hits the nail on the head and alludes to one of the biggest issues in the game at the moment across numerous topics, people can say what they want, without any kind of consequence via various social platforms. Whether it’s any form of abuse, calls of corruption and and just making general rubbish up, people can spout what they want and it generates attention because everyone loves to feed off controversy and extreme opinions.
  15. To be fair I read the article earlier but didn’t realise it came from the cesspit of all sources. I haven’t seen it from anyone else. https://www.gbnews.com/sport/football/nottingham-forest-believe-mark-clattenburg-stuart-attwell-var
  16. I didn't realise the general complaint was supposed to have come from a phone call from Clattenburg to Webb, they made it sound like the club itself had issued an official complaint about an appointment, not two ex referees sharing a phone call.
  17. First one was the only one I was convinced was a pen, although it's near identical to the one that went against Wolves earlier in the season and that was labelled the wrong decision. I also think there's a chance it gets given if the Forest player doesn't go down like that, it makes it look like hes played for it straight away. Second one for me isn't a pen, the proximity is way too close. People trying to compare it AWB as it being identical but the ball travelled far further for the Cov pen, volley is already starting the balls trajectory at a different height making it even more difficult to move the arm out the way. The third one I just don't think theres enough in it, Young has gone to ground to win the ball and CHO has got in front of him, neither are in control of the ball and both are challenging to get it. On skysports they keep banding around the word stonewall, I wouldn't say any of them are stonewall. I'd be fuming if we didn't get one as a Leicester fan, but I'd also know that there would be a great number of people who would be able to make decent cases for them not being pens as well, as is the subjective nature of the game.
  18. Assistant can only flag if they’re 100% sure it’s offside, I don’t think anyone can blame them for not flagging. As you say correctly ruled out.
  19. It wasn’t about Cov for me, it was about all that has happened in the build up to this weekend with the top clubs changing our nations game without any question. It felt like Coventry were representing every team up and down the pyramid.
  20. This is class!
  21. Very much dejavu to someone’s little moan pre-Plymouth
  22. Fed up of billionaire clubs with top level staff, the best training facilities, technology and support moaning about the demands of the modern game. Masses of top players and all they do is bitch and moan, they have no clue about what football is about across the pyramid and it infuriates me.
  23. F**k off Pep
